I'll make my usual Bozzio comment : I was lucky enough to meet him in Belgium 25 years ago after a clinic with Virgil Donati, I have never met such a class act, I never forgot how nice he was, and how he took the time to talk to me, and called me by name when we said goodbye. The man is a pure legend.
so. i found myself mezmerized by Terrys playing. i could listen to this all day. and will. its just plain beautiful once the tones and orchestrations get in the air. very thematic and melodic. love it!
Some people give Terry a hard time for having such a huge kit with so many drums but I dont think it any different than a guitar player have all the effects pedals and delays in their rack or a keyboard player having multiple keyboard with access to thousands of sounds. No one seems to to give them a hard time. The difference here is that terry is using the actual accoustic instruments to add to the sound palette
The melodies that Terry is playing is an eye opener and reminds me of Bruford with his electric kit and Earthworks. I have a new appreciation of Terry now!
He has so much integrity in his plsying and a playful sound. it draws you in and is completely satisfying to listen to and feel . Terry is mighty here man. mezmerizing . really great .
Terry is a genius - he plays real music and composition on this incredible instrument - I view it as one single instrument, not a random collection of sounds. And the tunings are wild - it’s an orchestra, he’s created a musical world, and he’s been working on this concept for a very long time now. Long live the GREAT Terry BOZZIO.
Terry's tech must be the best paid in the business. If not, he should be. Imagine tuning all those?!?! It takes me half a day to tune my 6pc Tama Superstar Hyperdrive.
It would be cool to sit and improvise on a drumset so seemingly limitless in order to determine an optimal number of sounds for "a more pragmatic" ear.
That is the Frankenstein of drum kits, I think it's hideous and impractical, I tried listening to one of Terry's performances and couldn't get pass a minute and a half, reminds me a kid playing with his mother's pots and pans.
I’m sorry I just think that set is ridiculous. When Terry plays on a normal kit he’s just fine, but it seems like he’s lost and playing just random stuff that makes no sense.

Donati and Bozzio at the same clinic? Or was he actually just coming through? Both are like the elite elite
@@prod_adrian Yup. And they were joined for the occasion by Belgian drumming sensation Stéphane Galland. Lots of talent on that stage that night.
@@nixneato Wow. Thats one killer clinic set list then!
Dennis is a class act too obviously, two gentlemen who love their craft too.
I was there. Great moment.
Good enough for Zappa, good enough for the entire planet
Just loved hearing Dennis cackling in childlike wonder and amazement..!

Woow!!! The Best of The Best!! Dennis & Terry... AMAZING!!!! 👍
🥁One of my all time favorite drummers, Terry. I'll never forget watching in awe when he (in his band U.K.) opening for Jethro Tull in 1979!!!

Also note we no longer have a lunch room

Terry Bozzio has influence me since I was in the 6th grade!!!!!! Thanks, Drum Channel!!!! And thank you, Terry!!!!!

Two Masters !
It’s amazing how much he’s able to achieve with such a tiny drum kit.
Terry is taking the drums into uncharted… but extremely important, waters. Amen 🙏🏼
Dennis and Terry : 😁 and 😁
Terry's drum tech : 😢
*terry's 3 (three) drum techs
So good hearing Drum Gods nerd out about gear 😄
Wow phenomenal sound.
This is one of the few videos where I’ve seen Terry compose something on that kit.
Increasing sound sources, increasing possibilities!...
Great friendship and respect to each other 👏👍🏻
I would have so much fun on this kit!
Terry's tech must be the best paid in the business. If not, he should be. Imagine tuning all those?!?! It takes me half a day to tune my 6pc Tama Superstar Hyperdrive.
U.K. Night After Night Extended Version the BEST of TB Plays live!
Terry is an OG
You know...just...
Even in this improvised parts you can hear of the bigger picture that is in Terrys head
It's like a drum grand piano
Imagine being his drum tech on a tour 😳
If he takes this kit on tour, I hope to God he takes multiple techs with him!
Alex R No! Just Terry and another
tech! They set up all that monster
setup,themselves!!!!
I like both these guys.
This is so awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Such a great video! thanks for sharing.
What a great concept!
Thank's DC Chanel
The video title makes it sound like this would be Bozzio playing on Chambers’ kit.
that kit is easily in the small mortgage range of insanity prices.
That’s easily 200K worth of gear right there.
Anyone but TB would need a map to figure out how to get behind that monster kit.
He should do the next Bond soundtrack
Now that's a DRUMMER !!😁👍🏻
Terry using REASON !? What !?
Also the kit is MAD ! ! !
Terry’s opening part reminds me of Neil Pearts opening part to show me don’t tell me by Rush.
So this is how they got the sounds for the game DR. MARIO, 😎
I met both at Jimmy D's clinics.
It would be cool to sit and improvise on a drumset so seemingly limitless in order to determine an optimal number of sounds for "a more pragmatic" ear.
Das ist wirklich ein super mega XXL drum kit, größer als mein XXL Drumkit. Kann man bei Interesse auf meiner Homepage ansehen!
Does anyone know the solo / piece that he plays at 3.50?
Cool !!
like watching Buddha play the drums.....amazing.
His kit is like a honeycomb
This looks like the perfect time to bust out some yyz or Tom Sawyer
"Anyone seen my tuning key...?"
Dennis had to go around the block to get a behind the kit view LOL
Wanted to Dennis mess with that set..lol
I’m told this kit came with 50 cowbells. 😆
Maybe the toms are tuned to specific pitches, but his melodies always sound quite random.
You need to get Thomas Lang behind that kit. Now that would be interesting. Haha
That is the Frankenstein of drum kits, I think it's hideous and impractical, I tried listening to one of Terry's performances and couldn't get pass a minute and a half, reminds me a kid playing with his mother's pots and pans.
@@papo1515 I hear you dude my thoughts exactly.
the jordan schlansky of drums
Our skinny little drummer Terry Ted bozzio ....punky's whip!
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Help wanted road crew.
All you have to do is setup one drum kit each evening.
What does it look like when you cross a drum kit with a typewriter?
Sounds like a whole tribe drumming but just 1 man.
He could open up his own drum shop and just sell his kit,
❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I think Lars could Play This kit
Looks more like a drum store than a drum set.
That is the most whacked out kit in the universe!
Pots and Pans, Skillets and Trash Cans!

Ok? How's that relevant?
@@Boognish_ hahaha! ...cuz he kinda looked like a mad scientist or something! 🥼
Sounds like African drum music!
nuts
WOW! I hope his roadie gets paid by the hour.
Wau
A blind person could play that kit. You can’t miss.
I know that Terry is mostly playing some pretty intricate stuff here, but I feel I could get on that kit and make the same noises.
Are you really saying you could play like Bozzio?
Neil Peart on steroids!!!!
I missing Mike Mangini!!
The whitest thing and the blackest thing. Sorry, I'm with Dennis.

👏👏👏 Sometimes, just because you CAN do something, that doesn’t necessarily mean you SHOULD. IMHO.
@@rsmith7994 Agree, I just don't get it. I don't hear any cohesiveness. Sounds like a young kid who has no idea what he's doing.
Ahhhhh so you're the simple minded downvoters. Just go back to worshipping Ringo Star and Lars. Lolol

His poor drum tech
lol, many drummers have much better sound and creativity with a kit a 32nd of that monstrosity
Sorry... love Terry's drumming but I do not like the sound of those toms....Yuk!
Fukin crap gzz....
What a waste of good maple wood!!!
worst sounding kit in the world
