Love the back story behind the acoustic to electronic drums transition from "Spring Session M" and "Rhyme & Reason". An eloquent explanation. I was luck to see both of those tours and was equally blown away at your playing!!
Terry I've been into you Since The Start .. I'm 66 started in 1965.. Lived In Africa for 3 years ,Brasil for 6years Cuba 14 months & NYC 30.. Every penny I made I made through Playing... YOU ARE AN EAGLE YOU FLY ALONE.. YOU ARE A GREAT. A. R. T. I. S. T. NOT A CRAFSTMAN... BIG DIFFERENCE MAKING ART IS 1 THING & BEING A CRAFSTAM IS ANOTHER.....
Very encouraging discussion near the last 10 or so minutes of the session. Indeed, it's the same whether learning mathematics or chess. New ideas and skills can be very difficult to acquire because they are unfamiliar. It takes a lot of careful and gentle repetition to make them comfortable, and eventually subconscious. But the bonus part is that over time, the learning process can snowball and sometimes get easier, because some _different_ new thing just might share a connection with some _other_ thing that you have already learned and internalized previously. Not always, but increasingly so as your internal "library" of knowledge and ability grows. The problem of learning in general - and "talent" versus conscious effort and all that - is a very interesting subject that will likely keep us humans fascinated forever.
Terry bozzio i remember when thomas lang and yourself reviewed videos of things you did with missing persons. My question is it possible to do a video of some of the technical things you did with the live recordings you did with the breaker brothers?
How or what vocal warm ups perhaps you exercise before performance..can share my friend..or include in your new book?Im stoked to get the new reading !
Hey Terry what's your connection with guitarist Punky Meadows from Angel these days if any? I've just started relearning drums again at age 53 and I'm also an Angel fan and loved your Zappa song Punky"s whips .Out of curiosity have you heard the new Angel album "Once upon a Time" with Punky Meadows and Frank DiMino and if you have do you like the new Angel album ?
So good to see you Terry. Stay well and take care. And rest assured in your place of influence in the generation after you.

Have you ever had an issue with carpel tunnel syndrome?
That was a mistake, Covid started in the USA in March 2020...this is 2023, that would not be 5 years, Terry...lol.
