I love province life that’s why I will retire in my home province Bataan next year after living here in CA for over 41 yrs. Simple life is the best, can’t wait. My brothers are waiting for me. Good luck Suzy and your husband. God bless both of you..
Hi Susie I am a filipina myself but always wanted to leave and live abroad but really cannot do so... thank you for appreciating my country, made me realize I should do as well ❤
The simple life makes you appreciate the small things that make up how beautiful life is. You don’t get to appreciate such things living in the big cities… there is no contentment. Keep doing what you are doing and congratulations with the healthy baby!

Lanzones have a lot of varieties. But the most common in the Philippines is the Paete (which is "normal" lanzones in the Philippines, thin skin, almost no seeds) and Jolo (the larger, usually sourer one, thin skin, big seeds). There are three other types from other parts of Southeast Asia: Langsat (similar to Paete, thin skin, but with more seeds), Duku (thick skin, small seeds), and Longkong (a cross between Langsat and Duku, almost no seeds).
Longan is more related to lychee or rambutan. They look the same outside, but longgan only has one seed. It doesn't help that their names are similar: "longan" and "lanzones"/"langsat", so people often confuse them.
For the 2cups malagkit flour, add only 1/2cup water. If you want Ube flavor or color, just mix few Tbsp of Ube Halaya (avoid using food coloring). Looks yummy 😋 kakamis
By the way speaking of belo belo thats an Ilocano delicious delicacy sobra Sarap im really amazed u love our Filipino food.regards to Lakay mo Jonathan.lakay meaning in English brother.im an Ilocano From Baguio City .God bless both of you
When I was a kid, my late father would always cook us ginataang bilo-bilo and would eat of a lot of servings. And from what I watched, your ginataang bilo-bilo is super delicious.
Look at all the assortment of seafood my oh my. 5:20 It's crazy that she uses a car jack to press the coconut pretty creative. When you were mixing the dough looked like Jon was mixing cement lol. The end result of it all looks like a very decadent dish Susie! Well done!
Binignit, the Visayan version of bilo-bilo, mainly uses actual glutinous rice grains and sago/tapioca pearls. You could try that if you can't find bilo-bilo. :P It's more like a lugaw though, texture wise.
You have to add water to make the rice balls and cook them in boiling water, when they float on top of the pot two more minutes of cooking and they are done, then you can add them to the boiling yata, by the way that’s too much Bilo bilo.
Food vlogger fail, haha, you didn't describe or rate the food you ate! Congrats on a successful bilo-bilo! I was shocked when you added a whole cup of water and wondered if you were using or had read a proper recipe. At least you had enough rice flour to save it.
They are ok 😊 Luckily there are way less rivers across Hungary so there's serious flood only in small towns around Budapest. Still really sad for the people who live there but luckily most Hungarians are not affected
@@SusieinthePhilippines it's made the same with langka, maybe kamote if it's available and saba. But the tapioca pearls used were bigger, since there was only one size available ( waaayyy ) back in the day.😄
Hmmm ang bulad (dried fish) nkakamis. Susie huwag ka muna kain ng sword fish even dried also tulingan(tuna) kasi very high sa mercury mga isda na yan. Search nyo anong mga isda ang not good for pregnant and for breast feeding mom.
I knew about tuna (I'm limiting my canned tuna intake) but never heard about sword fish! Good thing we didn't buy, I'll try some time later after pregnancy. Thank you for the info!!
Thank you for watching again! We will schedule a LIVE soon, watch out for it Guys! Can't wait to chat, see you soon 🥰

In our place we called that Sampelot and we also added coconut flesh. That was my favorite when I was a kid 😋
Awesome thank you for staying here in the Philippines province of samal island 😊❤
Salute to susie she knows how to speak fluent Tagalog. Ingat ka dahil you are pregnant. God bless you and your hubby.

Kahit sa bahay lang kayo, content na rin yun. Wow! Here in Batangas, we call it pinindot. Yummy🎉 laki na ng tiyan mo, Susie.

Province life is simple, not fast-paced, unlike city life, which is complex and fast-paced. And quieter too and closed to nature.
