I put my colors in a different order all together, white, yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, green, brown, gray, black idk it makes sense to me
I've noticed pens will often come in the pack like this. I kind of like going away from the usual line up too :)
Because it is actually the right order that pens usually come in from lightest to darkest.
I put pink between orange and red, or between a magenta and red

The reasons people are asking about lettering with highlighters is probably because you can create the thick and thin strokes if you move the nib a certain way, it is actually something i do in school and is really fun once you get the hang of it, i discovered it from a TH-cam video on how to letter with school supplies but I don’t remember who made it
Warm pinks go with reds and cool pinks go with purples! At least in my rainbow! 🤣. I’m a lefty and I use several different hand positions...it changes up the look of my lettering.

My orange one died recently and it's s little heartbreaking (also their NOTEBOOKS HAVE SUCH SOFT PAPER HOLY SHIT)
I worked at Office Max- the TUL pen brand is theirs and as much as that company suuuucks, the pens are stupid good. They've also got different types like rollerball and gel.
I usually go from red, maroons, browns, oranges, golds, yellows, chartreuses, greens, aquas, turquoises, blues, indigoes, violets/purples, magentas, then pinks. Then blacks, greys, silvers. :D I love watching people swatch and thanks for sharing your new haul - they all look so lovely!
I’m also in the group pen squad! For the TŪL pens, the reason everyone was going to stores to get them is because amazon didn’t have all of the limited editions in the gel inks but had some of the limited editions in the ballpoint.
Equally disappointed that the white pen in the kacogreen set is not white ink. But still great pens, I love them!

Start your rainbow at yellow and your reds, pinks, and purples will all be together. I like that combo
The same thing happened to me with the muji look alike pens! I actually really like them which is good
When I do rainbow orders I put redder pinks and pure pink after red then more purple pinks and fuchsias/magenta’s after purple
The muji pens are very sharp and pointed if that makes sense and I tend to like very round ballpoint pens so I personally don’t care for the Muji gel pens.. they are beautiful though!

I used to hold my pens like that, but I found that my hand cramped so much easier that way, so I trained myself to do it the "correct" way in 5th grade, and now I only hold it the "correct" way!
Yes I always reorder my pens, markers, colored pencils, etc. and yes, pink before red.
I always arranged my pens in rainbow color too! Thought I was being weird everytime I arrange them like it. And I put the pink after the red 🤗
Holding pen upright is actually the correct posture for Asian brush calligraphy (which Asian kids train hard to attain). This posture has max stroke control and won't smudge anything because the hand is not touching the paper
I have the lack green gel pens! I watched this when I realize another stationary lover has them! I’ve never seen anyone else with them so I’m happy you do!
U have inspired me to start hand lettering I have some brush pens so I will practise and write the alphabet in different peoples styles until I find one I like
I have black 0.5 muji pens and I love them. The only thing is that there is a bit of smudging if you don’t wait long enough to highlight however there isn’t any skipping, they last for a long time and are great investment. By the way I have two muji retractable pens and two regular muji pens
I'm a freshman in college, pre med, so I write a lot. Muji pens are nice but they smudge like crazy with the mildliners 😩 my favorite pen is a zebra sarasa clip body with a pentel energel needle point in 0.5! The TUL pens are meh to me I love the paper and notebooks better. The zebra sarasa dry are amazing too!

I held my pen like you when I started learning hand lettering and i felt like it was easier for me and I had more control over the pen. Now that I've lost a little weight and I'm more experienced in hand lettering its hurting my hand to hold the pen this way so I've had to figure out how to do it more comfortably. Just my experience 😁what ever works for you girl ❤❤
i put pink between red and orange, trust me it looks the best!!!
TUL are my favorite pens ever. A bit pricy but extremely high quality. The flair pens (not sure which brand) are the ones I use for note taking.

I do put my pens and pencils in rainbow order but I put pink right after red because in my imagination it is just red fading away to orange, lol! This is very helpful and informative as my pen addiction grows. I love my Tul pens but haven't invested in multiple colors yet.

Funny... I think it’s so common to make “brush” lettering with a highlighter. I don’t think I ever did but those studygrams do a lot. And some people from bullet journals as well. It’s pretty common.
You know, that makes total sense because I don't follow any study grams or study youtube channels, so I haven't seen that before! I'll have to do look it up and do some more experimenting. Thanks for watching!
How to Hand Letter I don’t follow them either but sometime or another I follow a link or someone tag me on a giveaway and I look the Instagram that I’m marked. And I already watch some lettering artists explained how to do it. People ask. And as I follow some people that are from the planner community and some of them use bullet journals I have seen this for years now. =)

I put EVERYTHING in color order and my husband always makes fun of me for it 😂 pink is a special case. If it's clearly just a lightly tinted red, it goes next to red. If the hue is shifted, it goes next to purple. 🤷♀️

I was wondering if you could do a swatch on the Pen+Gear gel pens. They are sold at Walmart. Have not had any luck finding them lately. I just want to know if they’re as good as the PapeMate Inkjoy gel pens to write with.

It looks better as it transitions from pink to red, pink is a product of red n white and purple is a product of blue and red. Makes more sense, TO ME, to put pink before red
