I can’t believe this is one of the only hike videos at this amazing place😍 on TH-cam…. I hiked in the fog(which came in late afternoon last part of my hike there) until you couldn’t physically go any further felt like I was on top of the world best hike I’ve ever done immensely beautiful!!! Also bathed in the glacial streams behind the car park wall now that was refreshing 😅 Good video cheers
My wife and I are coming to Iceland, and will be there the 21st of June!! Cant wait, this is one place I feel is a must see as I love photography and would really love to get some epic shots and possibly print a couple. I hope we will be able to find it
Wow that was beautiful! And your drone videos were amazing! Flying with the birds!! I look forward to visiting this canyon in November! I hope it won't be to snowy!!
Great video! 👍👍👍 I plan my second photography trip to Iceland, for the next year and this location is definitely one of the must see items! ....and you said, you are afraid of heights but walking on the edge....? I can say, that my hands start sweating, only from watching the video... 😉 br from Germany
Frickin bird almost hit your drone! Kinda skipped a beat there. Anywho, thanks for the video. Will be visiting iceland this sept and planning to hike this canyon.
Great information. Really enjoyed this video. Nice drone work. I have now added this site to my list to visit in late June 2025. Do I need to get a drone permit for this area?
I had a laugh when you said the path was closed because it had a row of rocks across it. In Wales United Kingdom they try not to put signs up in the mountains to keep the illusion of adventure. Thank you for the video.
great video. What is the approximate distance to the first viewpoint? I am disabled and can hike about 2.2 miles total with aid. Can't do the full canyon but hope to make it to first view.
Thank you Hermann for taking us to the Canyon. It helps a lot when we are there . Such a breathtaking view . Did birds attack your drone ?I saw them circling around 😊Now i found you on you tube , I subscribed and follow you so might help for my coming Iceland itinerary
Thanks for posting the GPS coordinates! Great idea. We are going to Iceland in a few weeks. I have read it is 'possible' to hike in winter but not recommended. Do you know if the road is plowed or if you can even see the trail with a fresh blanket of snow? I'm assuming no but it doesn't hurt to ask! I'd love to go but I won't be a fool if it's questionable.
You are very welcome and thank you for watching. Hiking in winter really depends on weather and snow conditions each time. Sometimes it's completely fine. I am not sure if it's plowed to be honest. Hope it will be possible when you are there!
Hi, wonderful video! I’m actually going to Iceland soon - do you think that reaching the 1st viewpoint is feasible for someone terribly afraid od hights and exposure? Thanks in advance for your opinion.
Hi there.. I'm coming alone this year during summer (June) I plan to visit here with drones , but I was concern if I will lost the track .. are you using GPS with you during this 45mins of hike..?
Stone giant movie where we start as massive giants sculpting the land... once done laying down to rest where water falls are... I've seen too many stone giants in the rocks always near waterfalls... computer animators would hate me lol

Thank you and you are welcome. It is such a good way to close paths. I like when things are done like this - keep nature as unspoiled as possible 🙂
OMG!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙂
great video. What is the approximate distance to the first viewpoint? I am disabled and can hike about 2.2 miles total with aid. Can't do the full canyon but hope to make it to first view.
Thank you. It should be around 1 - 1.2 miles one way to the first platform. Hope you'll be able to visit this beautiful place!
Thank you for this beautiful & detailed video.
Could you please tell that In which month did you travel to this place?
You are welcome and thank you for watching. I was there in July 🙂

You are very welcome. Thank you for watching and for subscribing. Those are Fulmars flying around. They didn't attack my drone - only curious.
Incredible shots! Whats the name of that song when you flew with the drone?
Thank you! Links to songs and song names are in description 😊
Great video. Thank you for sharing! Do you personally prefer Múlagljúfur Canyon or Fjadrargljufur Canyon?
You are welcome and thank you! I personally prefer Múlagljúfur Canyon 🙂

@@hermannhelguson That is pretty much what I have been hearing. Thank you for responding!
Great images! What path do you take to explore the canyon floor?
Thank you! You will need to go a little further towards the river. Not sure if there is any path there.
Hi, can you tell me if a « gravel road » is considered a F road ? because I really want to go (in about a week) but I have a campervan.
Thank you
@@leilade3227 Not necessarily. This one is not an F road.
Hi, wonderful video! I’m actually going to Iceland soon - do you think that reaching the 1st viewpoint is feasible for someone terribly afraid od hights and exposure? Thanks in advance for your opinion.
Thank you so much. Yes I think it's feasible. You should definitely try to go to the first platform 🙂
nice ten minute video. just right
Is it possible to reach there by public transport?
No I don't think so. It's best to go with a car

Hi and thank you for watching. No I wasn't using GPS. It is quite easy to find the right way - no GPS needed.
@@hermannhelguson Thank you so much ! I really hope there's no fog during summer 🙏
