- Hiking in Iceland. We have made a video with the 20 best hikes in Iceland - • 20 Best Hikes in Icela... , so this one is a "best of the best". The top 5 hiking trails in Iceland are spread throughout the island, and we did them during our Ring Road trip in late May, early June. It's a good time to see the wild and naked nature of Iceland.
The hiking trails are located in and around some real nature gems - the Golden Valley or Hvannagil, the remote Studlagil Canyon, the Glymur Waterfall, the Geldingadalur Volcano, and the amazing Mulagljufur Canyon. All of the trails are laid out on a map at www.trailwalkers.co.

Went this past yr. Our trip to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, about 5hr drive from Keflavik, was a highlight. Planning another trip and definitely renting a camper van. Magical place. Just going for drives anywhere is gorgeous! Love the solitude the most.

Thank you! And have a great trip! If you do the Studlagil, make sure you don’t drive to the closest parking spot but do the full hike, otherwise you’ll land on the wrong side of the canyon. I’ve mentioned it in the full 20 hikes video.

Very nice, however would add the cliff hike near arnarstapi, hiking above the back sand to hjorleifshofol, and the amazing waterfalls along fimmvorduhals…the volcano was not active when I was there so I couldn’t gage that…however I would say anything in Iceland is the best hike…

We were there late May, early June. Go sooner so you can see the volcano which is active now ☺️

Enchanting video, amazing scenery but the whole relaxing feel of the video is ruined by frequent and lengthy, pointless adverts designed to irritate that come thick and fast throughout. Maybe adverts at the beginning and end would be the best rather than every two or three minutes which make you want to give up watching.
That’s weird. It shouldn’t be every 2 or 3 minutes. I usually have only 1 ad in the middle of the video, given it’s at least 10 mins long. Will check it. Thanks for pointing this out.
