    Great comparison video, I own a 2019 in black matt not thinking of upgrading mine at the moment, but I totally agree with you that if I don’t own one I would go with the latest version without a doubt.

    I appreciate this video so much. I watch Hiimchad a lot, he has the older model and I have the newer model. In his videos, it seemed like his shifted way smoother than mine, so I thought there might be something wrong with my bike. After asking around, I confirmed there is a difference between the two quickshifters, but there's no answer or info on how much of a difference. I tend to shift lower in rpms out of habit as a grew up riding dirtbikes keeping them grunty gives better traction offroad. I now need to retrain my brain to let the bike Rev just a little more before shifting. Thank you.

    Great video, Victor! A question - is the Akrapovic transferable from the old to the new model or is it completely new exhaust and race map?

    • @Victor_Moto

      Thanks! It's compatible. There is a small difference but barely noticeable.

    If you’re using the quick shifter under 6 thousand revs ,
    You’re going to F the gearbox over time on your Tuono .

    That's what surprised me most, well, as much as anything, about my spectacular '17 Tuono V4 was the quickshifter was more than happy to shift perfectly at ANY rpm, low or high. Goodbye false neutrals! I'd get a newer one solely for the better left hand controls. The little 4-way wobble toggle on my '17 is hopeless. It takes about 5 tries to accurately change anything w/o affecting any other setting. I like the new nose's styling as well, and the LED headlights. Great vid!

      So you just have to use the clutch at higher RPMs? I've never owned a quick shifter

    • @Ridabu
      @Ridabu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nickarnold8417 It's actually the opposite. Rev under 5000 it's best to use clutch.

    Can't really go wrong with either current gen or last gen Tuono Factory. But IMO the current gen does have the updates over the past model that justify buying the newer gen. Can't argue with her favourite colour for a 🏍 just can't beat red.

    Had the December 2018 model Tuono Factory and loved it, after 3 and a half years the quick shifter packed in, then the DRl tail light packed in.
    The Aprilia dealer recommended I Google it as they didn’t have a clue!….
    Had the Ducati Diavil prior to this, kept it for 5 years from new, spent the first 2 Yeats going back to the dealer with electric gremlins, loved the bike but not the hassle, ditched Italian bikes, gone back to Honda.

    Spent last week around Deals Gap on my 21 Ape V4. Twice during the 1100 mile ride I found 2 corners with decreasing radius bends that I was going way too hot for. The cornering ABS saved my neck! Stock rubber which gave off a "shreak" as just looked where I wanted to go. Never felt the ABS push back on the leaver, but I was also not really focusing on the leaver feel I was trying not to look to the left and the 500 foot clif.
    Question? Does the older gen transmission in 3rd make the same straight cut gear sound that the current model does?

    • @Victor_Moto

      That's what I'm talking about. The new APRC is worth it.
