@@elsewayy Honestly, the most vital thing I can tell you is to do what your orthodontist tells you. All my friends complained theirs were on for so long, but it’s because they didn’t listen. Granted, my case wasn’t too bad overall and I only had them for a year, but the end result of getting them off is so worth it.

This helped a lot. I got braces at 66 years-old on September 2020. I’m wearing rubber bands so the teeth in the back upper and lowers come together like your sample in #2 mentioned. I’m almost there.
Thank you for talking about overbite. I wanted my upper jaw to be exactly aligned with my bottom jaw

I’m 9 months into a 20 month sentence and just received elastics last week. I’m wearing them as much as I can because I’m excited to see the changes. My midline is off and I still have gaps between my upper canines and incisors. Hopefully they close quickly.

I’m wearing my bands in a box manner now to fix the 2nd point mentioned. But my overbite and overjet seem to be good. I’m hoping to take my braces off in the next couple of months

I’m getting my braces off soon now I need to wear rubber bands on both sides for a week and it’s painful I just had rubber bands on one side. The rubber bands I have now are more breakable and more heavier the one I had before were the complete opposite. And the one I also have keep snapping which is annoying at least I won’t have braces for prom and my exams, I only have braces for 18 months ( a years and 6 months)
chilling here getting my braces off in 12 hours after having them for 25 months after being told id have them for 18 😜
I know the struggle! I was told 18 months too, its been 24 months so far and I still have appointments for few next months no sight of them coming off soon, so frustrating 😅

Why is a small gap forming minutes after taking my retainer off?!
Thank you I have braces and I don't like too much overjet I feel like it's overbite I don't like no flair to my teeth they feel pointy I would rather my teeth be wide and flat than to be curved and pointy in the front

I’m getting mine off next month!
I have had my braces for over 2 years now. My front tooth has come down and what was left of my gap has been filled as much as possible. My left lateral incisor was the problem but has moved down when it was originally positioned up. I had both of my second premolar teeth removed so my lateral incisor could move down. I don't think the gap that was originally made after having second premolar teeth removed can be filled by just the first premolar and my lateral incisor.
Every time I ask how long will the treatment take I only get met with a vague response and just get told to wear my elastics when I do wear them. I know the Orthodontist knows best but right now I feel like they are purposely avoiding my question I have been asking them for a year when I ask them my question politely.
Hello! My son got braces 6 months ago( simple case, just for 3 slightly rotated fronth upper teeth) he had a perfect bite( a liitle overjet, a little overbite) and now his bite is really off, although those 3 teeth are still crooked, they didn't budge! I know you'd advise me to ask his orthodontist, but i already did and all she always says is: "there are stages" "teeth move in stages" ....ehat should I do? Thank you, doctor!

Hi thanks for the video, how often do I need to do my adjustments, I have my braces for 1 year already but the appointment's that they give me are every 45 days, I feel that's to long..
I hope someone replies to you! I feel the same way. My appointments are (every two months….Now I’m not sure if that’s because I just got mine on but that’s how far they have scheduled me every two months)… I don’t like that. I want these things off ASAP lol and I am adhering to all the rules even with the stupid rubber bands lol
After i get braces off my teeth still looks very bad doctor said i nèed crown veeners will not help .. if i get crown can i wear a retainer or do i need one .. will my teeth move again

I hate my teeth even after 2 years with braces. All my teeth are oddly shaped one of them is circular and tiny and the rest are square or oval. 😔 my orthodontist said I should thank my parents when I asked if he’d be able to re-shape them. I feel so insecure about my teeth I don’t know what to do
Crowns I guess. I have a problem of too small teeth - doc told me crowns fix teeth shape but also help retain new teeth alignment

I just got my braces today and I already want it to be over. My teeth are naturally straight honestly however there is an overbite and 1-2 crooked teeth on the bottom row but they dont cause me any problems. I was told I had a mild case of "overcrowding". My doctor estimated that I could get my braces off within 15 months (which is just an average from other patients with similar problems) but school is starting soon, and I would like to get them off in about 2-3 months. I know that seems impossible, but I was content with my smile in the first place and I think that might be enough time to get those 2 little teeth in a straighter position. I'm no orthodontist so if anyone has any tips or advice for a first-timer or if you truly think that I will be able to get my braces off before school starts, let me know please! This is something that slipped my mind while I was at the clinic.

My class one canine occlusion does not really perfectly match BUT my mid line is perfect? What does that mean? I’ve had my rubber bands on for a long time
Same and i'm supposed to get them off next week... I wonder if my ortho is aware of the little space i have between my canine and lower canine and 1st premolar, cuz when i checked i doesnt fit exactly like he showed 😭
Which retainers do you recommend or does it depend on each individual?
I personally like the clear ones the best.

I’ve had mine on for 1 year now and I’m on to the bendy wires detailing how long you figure. My ortho won’t tell me bi guess he wants it to be a surprise.

I’ve had my braces since year 9 (14) I’m now doing a masters (21) Hopefully they’re off tomorrow, but no hope.
You will have lost a lot of root length, 1mm per year of wearing braces!

Power chains and rubber bands hurt so bad
The pain gets better. Take aspirin of some type. You should see a difference at 3-5 months. Remember they look worse before they look better.
After awhile the pain you might feel won’t bother you after each adjustment
