I have the exact deep bite from the video at 2.02 minutes, Deep Bite. I have pretty small teeth and have braces next to the gums, on the bottom. My teeth have a dent in the middle from the upper teeth already, which is why I wanted braces along to correct one slightly crocket tooth on top. I was told I need 14 treatments. I can tell this work is not done but don't know how to proceed. I told him this and he kept me for 2 more treatments but he is eager to take the braces off. I have paid a lot of money for this and I am devastated. I watched this kind of video for a couple of months and that only convince me I am right. My bottom teeth need to be pushed a little forward, instead, after the treatment I feel like they were actually pushed further back. I am 45... You are a pretty young doctor, I hope you will remain with the same passion and integrity till your retirement. Unfortunately, I have learned some doctors are kind of bored and don't care much about the work/treatments and people anymore.

I commented on another video saying how I didn't like that TH-cam dentists always made it sound like people lose teeth because they don't take care of them. Now I am watching this video that explains exactly what happen to my tooth and what is happening to my front teeth. I would not say I didn't take care of teeth it is just that no dentist ever recommend orthodontics until I broke a tooth.
Do you think that having a 6 mm overjet fixed with braces poses a big chance of bone and gum loss? My orthodontist told me that there was a small chance that that could happen by moving my bottom teeth forward and that has made me very scared to get braces even though I want them
hey!! so i have a few gaps on my top and bottom teeth, when i go in for my consultation, can i say i want braces to close them because i don’t like them or us that reasoning not good?

thanks for the video! I found out today my 9 year old has an over bite, jetting, and crowding. He has an orthodontist appointment tomorrow but the dentist scared me saying he needed headgear and maybe surgery.. so I've been doing all the research!

Update. I took my son to 4 different orthodontists for consults and found 1 we like my son also has a crossbite on top of everything else. Plan of action is 2 phases of treatment. Phase 1 starts with an expander, then 2x4 upper and lower braces with a Herbst appliance, finished off with bands. Depending on the length of treatment he will then likely either go into a retainer for a while or just straight into a full set of braces to get the alignment perfect. Expected to be in braces anywhere between 3-4 years total but may be broken up.

What age do you recommend getting braces???
I have 1 slight gap between the top front teeth. I haven't worn my retainer in 5 months. But now I have started wearing them again. When I put them in after 2 hours they felt slightly sore. But the soreness went away after 2 days of wearing them. Now I don't feel any soreness or discomfort and they fit comfortably. Do you think wearing my retainer again can fix my gap? It's a very small one not large.
It could or maybe you can go in and get them tightened.
That's just like an invisiline treatment. If it fits and it doesn't hurt after a few days. That means your teeth moved back into the retainer.
I have extra teeth I have 2 in the front and 2 in the back and it sucks because they haven’t gotten removed and it’s super hard for me to chew. 😢

Do I need braces because after getting wisdom teeth removed, the teeth next to them are facing in opposite direction, so my upper tooth is facing towards my cheek and the tooth below it is facing inwards to the tongue . whenever i keep my mouth normal I can feel them touching each other sometimes, but many times i don’t feel it.

I have braces and my orthodontist said we will take it off soon but I still notice to have overjet that my upper teeth haven't pushed that much in yet and I don't notice a good smile I am waiting for 1 and half year, I even had to remove 4 teeth to create space.
So my question is my next appointment is in next month will it get fully fixed or not.currently I am 18 and if it will be fixed how much more time it will take.😢

Dear Dr Nate, I had recently completed my braces treatment but realised that during my treatment process, my orthodontist did not prescribe me elastics to wear. Is this normal? I thought elastics are part of braces treatment.

I had Open bite. The dentist pull my bottom teeth backward by braces.
I feel like the pulling is too much for my tongue to move when I'm speaking
It effects the sound of my words.

I have a slight overbite and a bit of spacing in my front teeth that doesn’t seem to cause much issue besides cosmetic but it worries me. It’s only the fact of permanence of wearing a retainer nightly that stops me from asking to get braces.
