This is absolutely amazing, with this being my favorite ship all of Sci-fi, seeing this lego model in an massive size is beautiful. The guns, hangers, dome sections, and scale is so fricking cool man. Such an amazing model, and that must be an insane weight to carry.
there are much larger mocs being made every day, not to downplay the work that went into it but it really isn’t that big compared to what’s already been done
@@monochrome_soft9472 oh absolutely. The only thing I have that would even come close to those Mocs would be the space station I built. But even that pales in comparison to some of the larger ones.
Huh, that is quite the coincidence. I actually had no idea. But it does seem to be a consistent theme in both real ships and fictional ships. No idea where I got the idea from, it was either the ship from wall e or the pillar of autumn remake in halo reach.
No idea. For me it was the most recognizable item I could think of to help people understand the size of it. Aside from the thumbnail picture. Also thank you.
@@Turb0pr1m314 would definitely take it to a convention or comic con if you were brave enough to for its shear size Ah . Maybe with sound effects ahh. Maybe recreate some iconic Scene with green screen of infinity in action.
True but at this scale there is no point in building a proper hanger bay for those smaller ships. That’s why I just did the large side ones and the ones for the stridents.
Hehe thanks, I know a lot of people are surprised when I say that, honestly if anything it would have taken less time if I had all the pieces I needed on hand.
@@Turb0pr1m314 no most of the parts of the Eternity were used for the Infinity, but in 2560 the Infinity is MIA over Zeta Halo so it should be possible the UNSC finish the Eternity
Amazing work! Maybe a stupid question but how do you get the parts do you collect other sets to get them or do you buy them individually? I’d love to know how to go about a project like this. Also what scale is this at? Love it
A little bit of both. Depending on convenience. The main bulk of my Legos I now get from buying pieces individually off of a website called bricklink. Here I’ll post the link to a video I made talking about it. As for going about a project like this, you need a lot of time and patience. For me the infinity took about 6 weeks to build and even then that was just the main ship. Also thank you for the kind words. Actually, the Infinity is the biggest ever constructed. The Cradle was only 1800 meters, while the Infinity was 5,694.2 meters (in lenght). I don't know why some people spread missinformation about the Cardle.. I saw the size comperation in Redit, and it was pretty wrong. The guy even changed up some of the class names. Also, are these ships (you've built so far) proportional to each other in size?
Yeah I just looked up the size again for the cradle. Guess they finally got around to fixing that info online. Thank you for correcting me, I had no idea it was incorrect info. As for the ships yes they are all my design, the Lego version I mean obviously not the ships they are based off of. And they are all to scale to one another. As close as I could get them.
Five of them actually. The three frigates, the marathon, and the halcyon. I started working on the infinity but then stopped due to how monumental of a task it was.
@@Turb0pr1m314 oh sweet! where are the instructions available? (if you are giving/selling them) and do you plan on doing the Infinity sometime or is it just too big to bother?
@@riotthefox4075 honestly the infinity will probably be done maybe. And honestly that’s the best answer I can give. Incredible details. Love that the frigate models fit inside
Thanks. The hanger bay for those frigates was the first thing I built and I just went from there. Made the build somewhat simple from that point on.
