    Thank you!
I'm a nurse and used to do a lot of surturing and wound care in the ER. My aftercare would always include keeping the would clean and moist with Vaseline which would encourage healing. I now work in a clinic. My aftercare instructions are the same, but... without putting down anyone... How can I discourage overuse of antibiotic ointment?

Great advice Dr Nayak. Your explanation of the need for Hydrogen Peroxide is not covered by many doctors.

Thank you , this was very informative . What do you think about Ayurvedic approach? Aloe vera , turmeric , honey and coconut oil? Until now I used to heal scars like this but now that I removed a bcc from the middle of my face I am very confused. I just removed sutures and was told to only cover with tape and don’t use silicone for another week .

Thank you - question. Is 3 months post injury too late to see best results from technical methods like microneedling? Is 3 months post injury too late for microneedling to be effective? Thanks again!!

Have you got an injury? How is your recovery is going? I have just fallen from the bike and had stitches and abrasion, so I’m interested how the recommendations are going?

Ty doctor! Is contractubex helpful? Ive heard that contractubex is effective for depressed scars and silicon gel is more suitable for hypertrophic scars, is that true? Some suggest to use both, one at night and one at the evening. 1 month po and my scars look depressed, not sure how to address this…

Just wanted to comment on my experience with a scar that I had from multiple surgeries. It was a scar from surgeries due issues my female organs. I believe it’s called a bikini cut. A horizontal incision just above the pubic hair line. Well after several years that began to cause discomfort when stretching my arms upward. It seemed like the scar was stapled in that area. Anyway I was able to lyse it away with the use of a strong systemic enzyme over a 6 month period of time. Now it’s pliable and does not feel stuck there. It’s not that it looks good but it doesn’t hurt anymore.

How is your skin? Did the recommendations help the recovery? I also had an injury, so it’s interesting to know 😅

@aakezhann well there's minimal scaring so I think it helped. I think the tips were better than not doing anything. It left a lil ball which the doc said was possible and may have to redo the procedure since he may have not gotten it all out. But you can't see it so I'm happy with the results and the scarring isn't terrible.
