I earned my associate's degree from a community college, started Purdue Global in June, and I just graduated with my bachelor's degree in November.

WGU only took 12 out of my 45 credits so I passed on them. I've been accepted into umpi just waiting on my transcript evaluation

Ya, WGU isn't the best at accepting credits that don't match course requirements. UMPI will accept more. I still like WGU more. Way less writing, and you can test out of most of your classes.

@@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Exactly!! I was being foolish. I called WGU this morning and my acceptance still stands so I'm starting in November. I'm so glad I found this channel literally yesterday! Sooo informative.

Thank you so much for all your videos. It is really informative. Thank you.
I am a South African resident. I did a degree and later found out that is was not accredited when i applied to do a PGCE.
You can probably imagine how this felt after I learnt about this... :(
What is your advise for me if I want to study a BA in Business Administration that is accredited and fast paced? Which online university do you recommend? I basically want to study a BBA degree which i could use to apply for a PGCE and receive a teaching license?

How do you feel about accelerating the college journey at university of Wisconsin flex? Is it do able with transferring in 45 credits.

A degree from UW is amazing. Their CBE programs are totally self paced but they require an Associate's Degree first to get accepted.
It's a super small program so you're not going to have as many online resources from past students to utilize.
Other than that, the program seems solid.
It's not going to be as fast as some other schools, but still solid.

@@angelajohnson4666 Sorry Angela. My expertise is in degrees that can be done in less than 1 year. I'm all about Hacking degrees. For Engineering specifically... I'm actually a fan of earning a Bachelor's Degree in Tech (something like Computer Science), then transferring into a traditional Master's program in engineering. If you can do the Bachelor's in under a year... then you're under 3 years total to Master in Engineering.

Thanks! I'm in Purdue University rn.
I'm an international student, so I just to tell you that they also accept international students into their excel track.
This university would be a good choice for international students who want to accelerate and get a US degree.

@@felest2640 They don't Cap it. They just show that you earned a "3.0 or higher". Most grad schools are very familiar with the pass/fail grading system. There are a lot of schools that use it. 7 out of 8 Ivy League schools have accepted WGU grads so it's usually not a problem. Sometimes medical schools want a firm GPA. In those cases I've seen WGU grads attend their remaining pre-med classes at another school, then use the GPA from those remaining pre-med classes. If you have a grad school that's firmly telling you they won't accept WGU grads, then obviously find another path. But a lot of people assume WGU won't work when it will. Just map out your path ahead of time and make sure you can get accepted to the grad schools that you're wanting to get in to.

@ nice!! I’ve really been thinking about WGU but for the program I want in to, it’s required of a GPA of 3.5 minimum. What are your thoughts on upper Iowa University?

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671
      @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@felest2640 To be honest, it's not a school I'm familiar with. I'd actually reach out to them and see if they accept degrees from WGU. Sometimes schools list a required GPA, but don't mention that they will still accept degrees from pass/fail schools. If you're serious about getting the Bachelor's quickly, I can probably help you save a few years. Shoot me an email (ryan@9monthgrad.com) if you'd like my help.
