I started attending ASU online fall 2017 and this is my honest experience as an online college student from start to finish!       @@dedecosmic3545 I've learned the basics so far in GRA 121, and a lot of graphic design history in GRA 111. I've only have those two classes so far, but not much needing to be done since I transferred over with credits from my local community college.

    I have a very similar college path as you. I got an Associates degree in Audio Production from a Community college, then transferred to ASU (Tempe) for a Business law degree. At ASU I haven’t taken any summer breaks so I can finish sooner. Graduating fall 2023

    I'm taking online bachelor of science, except mine is 100% on my employer, free school and I'm half way there. Wish me luck, 1.5 more yrs!

      They dont cover books and materials, they cover 100% tuition though

    Thank you for making this video with such great advice for ASU Online. Are there any zooms or group work involved at ASU Online or does it depend on the course/degree program?

      It’s completely online don’t worry they have many self paced course work that are monitor by the professor.

    I’m considering going to asu. Is college generally enjoyable. I mean how would you say asu is like? I don’t like toxicity and I want to meet people right away. How do some people have a positive college experience and never go through a tough period in college of mockery and shit like that

      I don't personally know anything about GCU but one of my friends from FIDM ended up finishing her Bachelor's degree there and loved it!

    Hey! I was looking at going to ASU and I was curious about how they handle job placement for graduates? Do you get job offers right out of college, or anything like that?

      They don't necessarily get you a job or place you anywhere. But they do have resources like virtual career fairs for online students, databases with jobs, etc. I personally found my job right out of college through Indeed. I applied to about 200+ jobs and landed about 6 interviews and was hired within 4 months post grad. I really believe it's the work you put into it that matters most. :)

      Most of the main classes will transfer l, like science, history, phycology etc. the math is typically different t because they make u test in.

    If someone wanted to fly in and walk the stage when their diploma is handed is that something you could do if you wanted to?

      Yes! They give you the option (under non pandemic circumstances of course) to walk the stage in Tempe.

    Unless I do online college, a normal 2 year associates degree is going to take me 13 years 😭. I only have time to take one class per spring/fall term. This sucks.

      Online degrees are definitely cheaper, the responsibility of finding the right resources to study and stay motivated with are on you, also not being on a campus lowers costs dramatically.

      The biggest thing about making friends as an online student is that it WILL be a little harder. It's frusturating at first but totally normal! Even a lot of regular college students have experienced this with covid, I think. You just have to go out of your way a little more to find friends. Remember, every convo with a new person is a potential for making a new friend!

      it can take 3 years depending on how many classes you take or whether you take summer classes...some people take up to 5 years, Really the only thing that's a con of online school is you don't have anyone physically to study with although they are really good about connecting online.

      Yes it took me 3 years at ASU (going to school year round), after my first 2 years at FIDM. A lot of my credits didn't transfer from the fashion school so it took a little longer than expected. All together getting my associates and bachelors took me 5 years.

    Hi! Sorry for commenting literally the time of one college degree later lol but I wanted to get the opinion of an ASU student but I don’t know anyone 😬 I’m studying at a college in my home country and I very much hate it here … so I’m really considering ASU online so I can get 2 degrees at once since I hate my current degree but can’t afford regular ASU
    Do you think it’s doable? I’m at school usually 7am - 1pm so I’m scared it’s too much on my plate, even if I took more than 4 years

      Hi there!! You can do your schoolwork at any time of day with ASU online. There will be deadlines on specific dates/times but you always know of them in advance. I recommend reaching out to the admissions office for ASU online and asking about their program for students out of the country since I am not exactly sure how that works.

    Congratulations on graduating from university, I would like to ask about the strength of an online degree, is it the same on campus?

      yes it is the same. the degree will look the same as the asu in person program. both degrees have equal weight meaning wise as one is not better than the other

    here's a fact, cheating in college doesn't affect anything in real life, every company is going to have different ways of doing things, basically as long as you can use Microsoft excel and can type and have a degree, in the end is all that matters.

      @@Koston-xo6cx really just depends, for the most part if it's regionally accredited it's fine, but you always want to go to the most respected school you possibly can, just really do your homework it's alot of time and money to invest in something you might regret later.

      My degree cost about $11,000 a semester from ASU. I went for 3 years so about $66,000 versus my degree from FIDM which was almost 3 times that amount.

    Disagree, ASU online is not good quality. I would say low mediocre quality, at least in Engineering.
