    I was actually able to close out December on Saturday, and I'm so happy! 🎉🎉🎉
    We had a GREAT month and finally made A LOT of progress.
    We were UNDER budget in ALL spending categories and OVER budget on paying off Debt and Savings. 🎉🎉🎉
    💙💜💙

    Have you thought about setting a budget of say $150 or $200 for eating out and have the remainder be JUST for groceries? That way you have more of a set amount for food out. Two envelopes sounds like it would allow you to be more consistent. Maybe? 🙂
    Happy New Year to you and your family.

    Unfortunately, I do not do Instagram for security reasons. So I guess I will miss a great deal of your content. Thank you for continuing to do the morning routines. I have set up my budget for Jan 2025 and am ready to tackle the month.😃

      All our sinking funds are cashless too! I have 20 buckets in our account for them.

    All my sinking funds are cashless, I have buckets with ally. It gets pulled out of my account and I don't even realize it. Yes I track it weekly. I have tried cash but I just spend it all.

    • @MichelleLyn84
      @MichelleLyn84 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      With Ally is it like Capital One where it can take a little bit to get deposited into your checking/savings accounts? I’d like something that is quicker to transfer as/if needed.

    • @Sweet_Pea_12
      @Sweet_Pea_12 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Same. I have $25 a month automatically come out my checking for annual expenses sinking fund (car tag, Amazon prime, gaming subscriptions) and my second job is direct deposited in ally and i distribute among my buckets as needed during weekly review (vacay, debt payments, savings etc)
      I also have 2 checking accounts 1-Bills (auto bill pay come out of this) 2-Variable spending (food, gas, house misc)

    Oh I can’t wait to see how you’re going cashless since that’s what I do. What do you use to scan receipts again? What kind of rewards do you get?

    How do you categorize the cash withdrawal, you don’t do sinking funds/variable expenses? I am stuck on a this part of how this works.

    Where do you get all your stickers?

    • @thebudgetmom
      @thebudgetmom  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Some are samples that our supplier sent to us, some are TBM stickers, then Amazon and craft stores :-) I use a lot of the Happy Planner sticker books too!

    I wish the workbook had a designated space for sinking funds.. or is there one and I haven't seen it?😮

    • @TracyBirds
      @TracyBirds 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      There is a Sinking Funds area (box) on every Paycheck Budget Tracker.

      I just realized it was so much easier to keep most of my savings goals at my credit union so I had always had immediate access to it at any given time and I didn't have to worry about going to the bank to deposit the cash

    As much as we wish we could not eat out as much sometimes its this season of life. We just breath and Re adjust. It is progress not perfection.

    EATING OUT IS GREAT! NOT EVERYONE HAS A FAMILY --- BABIES AND KIDS AND HUSBAND TO COOK FOR --- MY FRIENDS -- WE EAT OUT ALL THE TIME --- COOKING IS BORING! AND IT IS ONE WAY WE GIVE JOY TO OUR GROUP OF WIDOWS. DON'T BE SO JUDGEMENTAL.
