This work for string orchestra is dedicated to my late grandfather, who passed peacefully in October of 2023. He loved classical music and was always there for my mother, who is one of the best people in the world.
In memory of Gong, 1937-2023.

This........................ IS MUSIC!
Better than I can even imagine
So sorry for your loss. This, as with the other amazing compositions you have composed, truly leaves me with a sense of....idk what you'd call it... in me.
This piece has a quality like it’s always been there. But it also feels like it’s telling me something is missing. It feels very open and blank. So combined with that feeling of how it’s always been there and how it feels like something disappeared from the piece. It’s so good I love it!
Condolences for your grandfather. I have no doubt he’d be proud of you for this piece.
I can't lie, this is kinda fire. I feel the emotions in my blood.
I'm bleeding from the mouth everywhere
I want my pc back to edit in musescore 😭💔
A beautiful Elegy, Ethan. Wonderful that it's being premiered by the PSCO next year, congrats!
Thank you!
I'm a Japanese passing by whose hobby is making classical music. I can't play any instruments, so I'm not very good at changing keys, but this song seems to change the key here and there without changing the atmosphere very much, and it feels like it's elusive, but I think it's a very technical skill. thought. It was a good song. I listened intently. thank you very much.
Thank you for the thoughtful reply! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😄
