Surgeries on their own are not the problem. If done carefully you can have 20 surgeries. As long as the hairs are extracted evenly and not too much, it can still look good. Dr. Zarev shows this all the time with his 14k graft sessions
Im glad you are back to youtube as you had a big hand in me choosing dr. Ferreira for my 1st transplant. Going back for a second one early next year. It was very kind of BF to offer you a free surgery, you certainly deserved it! I recently got an email for the clinic they now offer PRP with every surgery. Do you think it makes a difference? Did you get it with your 3rd surgery? Also, why are you still on 2,5mg as dr. F usually suggests taking 5mg? Thanks and keep providing the community with great content!
Thanks man! I haven't heard anything about prp. Interesting! Dr. Ferreira indeed advises 5mg OM, however I'm not willing to increase dosage if there's no need. I rather keep this for the future should I need it just like with dutasteride
@@MrRolandas They just started offering it a month ago, saying that the growth factors in PRP may help stimulate hair growth, improve healing time and skin quality, enhancing the overall result of your transplant. It costs 300eur per session. I have until next April to think about getting it done with my surgery. Regarding the pill dosage, I agree, it is good to have some backup options if your hair loss turns for the worse.
Personally, I'm not a fan of upselling something a doctor thinks is best. Doesn't make any sense. It's in the doctors best interest to get the best possible outcome for his patients. If this would be as good as it sounds, a doctor would do it by default for every patient. I understand there's cost involved in equipment etc, but again, IMO this should be factored in a final price, instead of having it as an upsell.
@@MrRolandas I agree completely. I think it is offered only as an option is because they do not really know the effect of PRP. They even say in the email: The growth factors in PRP MAAAAAAY help enhancing the overall result - which does not sound very convincing at all. A friend got it with his hair transplant and said the plasma was just oozing out of his scalp the first couple of days. My feeling is it can do more harm than good pumping extra fluid into an already swollen scalp after surgery.
This has been a common practice in a bunch of clinics tbh. I'm not aware of any data stating specifically if it does help, and everyone seems to say the same "it may help". This ofc doesn't mean such data doesn't exist. I don't see how this could harm, so I'm not against it, however I'm against the idea of upselling. IMHO, a patient should not be deciding on things to choose for surgery & recovery. This should be doctors' responsibility having patients' best interest at heart. To me, this falls into same category. If he thinks it works - do it for everyone. If he doesn't think it works - don't do it. He supposed to be deciding this. Having it "on offer" seems like a marketing tool more than anything. I certainly wasn't offered it during my surgery. It's ofc just my opinion, and everyone is running their business the way they see fit.
great Rolands. I'm waiting for your video blogs. How many grafts and what area outside the crown - was there some towards the front? The ugly duckling phase, I suspect, will probably be minimal (considering that you have had two transplants). I will also be doing a second transplant.
Thanks! It was mostly a touch up-style to sprinkle here and there. Most focus on 2 patches in the crown area. I will be uploading soon interview with Dr. Ferreira where he goes into great detail on my surgery.
Did you get all hair transplants done here? the first, second and now the third at the same clinic? Also can you provide a link to their website, i want to get an appointment as well. Much obliged!
Good questions, especially the last part! I was quite shocked from Dr. Ferreira's answer during our interview. I will publish it soon. I've asked him to be very technical with answering, so he did! Just what we like haha
That was somewhat covered, perhaps not going all the way down, but there's no need for it, at least not now lol. If we would do it now, a lot of hairs would be potentially dead.
Thank you! Finally somoene acknowledged it hahaha I've got lost on keeping track on how many hours I've spent editing this video... About 20 hours non-stop editing? Maybe more haha
@@MrRolandas "If you're gonna do it, do it right" I think that premise applies to all the things thay you've done. Outcomes? Likewise, this guy has got one of the best (if not the best) HT I've ever seen online and, in addition, he has thoroughly shared with the community all of his process. You deserve the best, man
Variety of reasons piled up at the same time. I've discussed one side of it briefly on hair restoration network forum. There's a topic "What happened to Mr Rolandas".
Same, fin & min, and no, no further changes in my opinion regarding verteporfin. I think it's too early to make any decisions, it's still been researched, however sounds promising.
It's over 7000 grafts now, details numbers coming up! Donro indeed looks great. I've been blessed with great donor capacity, and also I've chosen a good surgeon from the start, who has taken a really good care of my donor. This made it possible to extract so much and still have many left without altering much the look. Teeth - interesting that you've spotted this haha. I had indeed
@@MrRolandas that's crazy! I hope I have a good donor supply too. What procedures did you have on your teeth? They look great. I want to do the same for myself
@@im_that_guy I wasn't sure it's even worth talking about my teeth here on the channel as it somewhat irrelevant haha. Nothing crazy, just invisalign for now. But it seems it makes a big difference if you have noticed it
Yo man, I've just noticed during Live you've said "Dr. Cole's disastrous call on the bald truth show was a notable event in the community while you were away. lol". What actually happened? any link?
Indeed doesn't look too bad right now because there's a good amount of uair already as well as a nice hairline that structures my face. Without all this it wouldn't look great
Wow your hair looks amazing. I need one more transplant, it's been about 10 years since my last one. I've been looking around for the next place to go and haven't made a decision yet. I definitely want to go somewhere outside the usa. Are you on any meds? Tying the hands is smart. I wonder if hyperbaric chamber sessions would help speed up the growth process
There's nothing substantial you can do to "speed up growth process". Once you learn about hair growth cycles you will understand. Hair goes through shedding phase, followed by resting phase before going back to growth phase. All such things are mostly marketing and hype.
Thanks for posting your progress Mate . I actually want to get my work done with your Doctor in Portugal, it is strange that you did not leave his contact info below? I was going to travel to Ankara HLC, but I have strong mix feelings about the sons of Abraham and any country that helps and supports hamas. I Love Portugal, been there once and shall return! PORTUGAL any day over turkey!
I'm not affiliated with Dr. Ferreira's clinic, so I do not have to promote him, nor give his details. I'm simply sharing my story and if you think he might be the right fit for you, you can find him with ease :) HLC used to have great doctors, but I've heard recently there has been a change in them. At this point IDK who's working there and how good they are so I would try and research more before considering them.
@@MrRolandas Thank you for the feedback Mate! You and I have similar hair "except my scalp has more coverage at Norwood 4" And You had great results. I really appreciate your inside information about HLC! That Slovakian you tuber "Matt" who promotes HLC would never disclose anything negative about that clinic so thanks again! I'll tell Dr.Ferreira that you sent me. I'm over Turkey. I'll pay 2000 more GBP for a Portuguese Doctor and I would rather spend my money in that lovely country any day!
@@condor5150 since you like Portugal, you can also check out Dr. Pinto. He's in Porto too and a good friend of Dr. Ferreira. I think they worked together at some point, so have quite similar understandings on hair transplant. Matt is an interesting character. Not a fan him constantly changing his mind on everything, especially when it comes to medications. He has done a fair share of mistakes, but he seemed to finally "figure this out" when it comes to his own hair. From where he started it's a huge change.
@@MrRolandas True that Mate, Matt seems to have made a living out of hair transplants, hair care promotions and consultations. I'm using topical finasteride and he quit using that. I too admire his discipline and determination to keep his hair. I'll check out Dr.Pinto. I've heard nice things about Porto! I'll even consider Dr.Ferreira's mentor in Madrid, obviously HT is more expensive in Spain. I'l message you someday from Portugal "perhaps this coming winter?" Thanks again Amigo
I didn't stop finasteride, but stopped minoxidil tablets for 3 days I believe before surgery and restarted again the next day. Smoking can certainly mess up with your recovery. Nicotine restricts blood flow. You don't want that, especially immediately after surgery.
Dutasteride is definitely better than Fin, but do you really need to switch right now? I'm personally keeping it in my "back pocked" should I need it in the future.
@@MrRolandas I had my hair transplant done with Dr Turan in estambul in 2020 and 2022 (2 surgeries, about 9k grafts) Norwood 6. The results are great! But I'm noticing some fading in the crown area. Currently on minoxidil 2.5mg and Fin 1mg and also topical minoxidil. I wonder if I should switch to dutasteride? And, do you think it is worth to use topical?
I don't think there's a reason for topical, unless you just want to throw a kitchen sink and hope it does something. If you think your transplant is fading, definitely worth considering dutasteride
I'm sure you can buy it from some shady websites, but I wouldn't. There's are plenty of generic versions like hims, manual etc. Who are selling these online.
Wait what, you had a 3rd hair transplant? When did you plan this, as I'm on his waiting list for years, and I still haven't heard back. I must be cursed, I'm waiting all this time, for this surgeon, and you pop up out of nowhere and manage to get a 3rd transplant.
I've discussed this last year with him. Not sure what's the situation with anything when it comes to his business as I'm obviously not involved, but If I were you I would not focus solely on him, but reach out to other doctors. Dr. Ferreira is amazing, but not the only one in the world. If you don't want to look to far away, reach out to Dr. Pinto, he's in Porto too!
Hi I did my hair transplant on 7th June. I didn’t take any medication such as finasteride, or minoxidil. I want to take your advice whether I should take finasteride or not. One person from the clinic told me that let it be natural and never got a recommendation whether I should take finasteride
Also I didn’t see much redness in scalp. And I didn’t feel any itches most of the time. The itches most of time are from the donor area. Do I suppose to feel itches in my transplanted area ?
Everyone is healing differently, so don't overthink. Clinic must be low cost, as its a part of their marketing to attract more customers, claiming you don't need finasteride when having transplant, especially with them. But then you'll loose more hair so they expect you to come back to them. Speak to dermatologist or any other profesional, not your clinic in this case.
@@MrRolandas I did it for $1600. I did the clinic in Turkey. Its name “Lokman Hekim” the clinic looked very respectable and clean. I’ve also heard they shoot their Turkish movies and series over there. I’ll take your advise and I will talk to dermatologist
Is shaving your head needed? I have long hair and would prefer to keep it long, just remove the balding. If I have to shave it for the treatment, I may as well just shave and not bother with te transplant at all.
Shaving head is not required, however it's best for doctor doing the surgery. Having longer hair all around can give false perception on where doctors needs to implant and where he doesn't. You wouldn't want to go back and do it again just because of some weird spots that don't look "balanced". It's also time consuming during surgery which leads of significant decrease in graft count possible during a single surgery. It gives pressure to doctor to try and do more grafts if they start falling behind, which can leads to a host of "human factor" issues which you certainly don't want. Even in best hands things can go wrong, we're all humans. Lastly - recovery will be compromised. You must keep your scalp clean, have minimal touching recipient areas etc. All such aspects will fall due to having a lot of surrounding longer hair, which again gives another thing for potential failure. My opinion - do it once, do it right. That's what I did and it's been all but success.
You need to work more on that lower jaw than getting a third hair transplant. Just an advice, will make you look 10 times better than just getting another hair transplant, maybe add in some muscles too in between.
How do you work on a bone? As far as I understand the only way to change the structure in my case is to do a surgery. It's possible to build some muscles on the sides (where I had a lot of gains in the last 5-10 years), but the bottom part can't move forward.

Heyyyy the boy is back!
Same goes to you 😅
@@MrRolandas Starting to actively research again now, hoping to get my second in the next year or two
Second only? I'm already on a 3rd one!
Hi.Do you think that youve lost some of the grafts that were transplantet years after your Hp?
great Rolands.
How many grafts were implanted on the 3rd surgery, Mr. Rolandas?
About 1200 grafts
Did you get all hair transplants done here? the first, second and now the third at the same clinic? Also can you provide a link to their website, i want to get an appointment as well. Much obliged!
Yes I did all there.
Just Google Dr. Bruno ferreira hair transplant. He will pop up right away
Hi, also do you stop the aftercare after day 10 or do you continue washing and using the aloe vera for longer than 10 days?
Continue with daily washing and daily aloe Vera until run out
The obvious questions are how many grafts were used and how many do you still have in the donor area after this 3rd ht?
It's just the first episode be patient.
@@danceswithcomicbooks7733 What a wise gentleman you are
@@SergeyTheBold glad I could help.
Good questions, especially the last part! I was quite shocked from Dr. Ferreira's answer during our interview. I will publish it soon. I've asked him to be very technical with answering, so he did! Just what we like haha
Do you think you should've got some more grafts on the outer and lower side of your crown?
That was somewhat covered, perhaps not going all the way down, but there's no need for it, at least not now lol.
If we would do it now, a lot of hairs would be potentially dead.
EPIC editing skillz
Thank you! Finally somoene acknowledged it hahaha I've got lost on keeping track on how many hours I've spent editing this video... About 20 hours non-stop editing? Maybe more haha
I was about to comment the same thing. It's noticeable, bro. Insane editing! Welcome back. We missed you, legend
Good to be back spending hours and hours on a short video 😅 one of the reasons I stopped in the first place haha
@@MrRolandas "If you're gonna do it, do it right" I think that premise applies to all the things thay you've done. Outcomes? A guy commanding one of the best YT channels on this topic, a guy who really knows what he's talking about. Likewise, this guy has got one of the best (if not the best) HT I've ever seen online and, in addition, he has thoroughly shared with the community all of his process. You deserve the best, man
Appreciate that!
Not sure if it was mentioned in the video, as I didn’t hear it, but did BF mention how many grafts you have left?
Not in this video, but on full interview I've done with him. Will be uploading this video tomorrow!
Очень хороший результат
Lisan al Gaib, welcome back
👊
welcome back, why take such a long break from youtube?
Variety of reasons piled up at the same time. I've discussed one side of it briefly on hair restoration network forum. There's a topic "What happened to Mr Rolandas".
Hey Rolandas, which medication are you still taking today ? Have your opinion changed about verteporfin ?
Same, fin & min, and no, no further changes in my opinion regarding verteporfin. I think it's too early to make any decisions, it's still been researched, however sounds promising.
Did you stop taking the 2.5mg oral minoxidil 1 week prior to the hair transplant? If so, when did you resume taking it again?
Yes, I've resumed on day 1 after surgery.
HOLY PLOT TWIST BATMAN!
hahaha
How many grafts have you used across all surgeries? I'm surprised how good the donor looks. Also, have you had any cosmetic procedures on your teeth?
But it seems it makes a big difference if you have noticed it
@@MrRolandas definitely has done. Looking handsome bro. Congrats
Do you have to take finasteride or minoxidil after transplant?
You don't have to, but usually it's a good idea. Depends on each isnividual of course.
Wow! Welcome back indeed! Glad to see you, brother!
Hope you're doing well Sergey!
Yo man, I've just noticed during Live you've said "Dr. Cole's disastrous call on the bald truth show was a notable event in the community while you were away. lol". What actually happened? any link?
@@MrRolandas Brother, did my previous message get through? Seems like youtube deleted it.
Nothing from you visible except this message now!
@@MrRolandas Ok, stupid YT randomly blocks stuff. I'll try to post piece by piece now.
Bro, you look great in bald also
Indeed doesn't look too bad right now because there's a good amount of uair already as well as a nice hairline that structures my face.
Without all this it wouldn't look great
Did you continue using the saline spray from day 5-10?
No, only first 4 days
@@MrRolandas how much does this guy in Portugal charge?
Not sure currently, something around 4€/graft
@@MrRolandas man, that's a little pricey for out of the country
It's actually in line with any other top level doctor. In other countries it's even more expensive
I'm simply sharing my story and if you think he might be the right fit for you, you can find him with ease :)
HLC used to have great doctors, but I've heard recently there has been a change in them.
Are you still on oral minoxidil?
Yes
How many grafts are on your 3rd HT?
Did you stop minox and finestride prior to the surgery ? Does smoking drinking really affect HT?
I didn't stop finasteride, but stopped minoxidil tablets for 3 days I believe before surgery and restarted again the next day.
Smoking can certainly mess up with your recovery. Nicotine restricts blood flow. You don't want that, especially immediately after surgery.
@@MrRolandas thanks bro, appreciate it, good info
I am glad you are back. What medications are you taking?
Fin 1mg/day, oral min 2.5mg/day
Thank you. What are your thoughts about switching to Dutasteride? Do you think it’s better than finasteride?
Will you ever join the dutasteride master race ? 🙏
Edit : I'm glad you are back 👍

Hello Mr Rolandos is HLC still a good clinic in 2024?
I haven't researched them recently myself, however I've heard they have new doctors working. So as it stands I don't know of their quality right now.
Is there a way to get Propecia without medical prescription?
I'm sure you can buy it from some shady websites, but I wouldn't.
There's are plenty of generic versions like hims, manual etc. Who are selling these online.
Wait what, you had a 3rd hair transplant? When did you plan this, as I'm on his waiting list for years, and I still haven't heard back. I must be cursed, I'm waiting all this time, for this surgeon, and you pop up out of nowhere and manage to get a 3rd transplant.
Imagine waiting for years instead of having a plan b
@@anasxo1Yea I don’t understand these people. Clearly a hair transplant is not important to them at all if they just sit around for years
Years. Dude just find one in the states for shits sake. You're wasting years. What for? Lol
I've discussed this last year with him. Not sure what's the situation with anything when it comes to his business as I'm obviously not involved, but If I were you I would not focus solely on him, but reach out to other doctors. Hi
I did my hair transplant on 7th June.
@@MrRolandas Do you mind if I show you some picture my hair ? In other platforms
I need to tie my wrists while sleeping after ht also. I would definitely scratch while asleep.
You definitely should!
During my 1st HT I couldn't sleep at all due to paranoya. I caught myself scratching so many times!
Is shaving your head needed? I have long hair and would prefer to keep it long, just remove the balding. If I have to shave it for the treatment, I may as well just shave and not bother with te transplant at all.
You can have up to 3000 grafts done with DHI without shaving. At least that’s what I’ve seen at multiple clinics.
You dont need to shave your head at all.
HE'S BAAAAAACCCCKKKKKKK
🙌
how many grafts did u have this time?
Small amount, nothing crazy. Will do a detailed video soon and also in interview with Dr. Ferreira he will be going itno all details.
Wow
We lost you lost your hair
