    Awesome. I’m 18 days into my second one. First time, 2500 FUE grafts to crown, phenomenal results. Went from 5% to 50% coverage. Now, second one was 2000 grafts, hopefully more like 75-80% coverage. Research was key. No ARTAS robot extraction, it had to be mentally extracted my a reputable and local MD. Punch size roughly 0.8 mm, scar is about half this size. Now shedding and shock loss, however, the emotional roller coaster is easier with experience. 👍🏻

      I have no problems styling in any way I want, including spiking it up, but I'm not a fan of that hairstyle and much easier with my day to day life to not do any hairstyle 😅
      That being said, artificial looking hairline is an issue with low quality hair transplants.

Now you are basically all done (for now, let say next 3-5 years), and will be interesting to see how the efficacy of fin and oral min goes. See if actual transplant hair will start to thin, which is actually known to do so. I kept checking on your channel once every 2-3 months, so glad you are back :) It is interesting that you had total 13k of donor available. You used up 7, so plenty to go for touch ups. I was already thinking where are you? because you were not posting... xD....
    The hair transplant is Looking Really Phenomenal, the direction, angle, temples everything seems to be done properly, Congrats! For sure the results are going to be impressive.
    I need to take the step and also do it, because my Hairline and temples are receeding, the Typical M pattern is really annoying me, was thinking to do it here in Malaga Spain "Medecap" Clinic, already talked to them it's 2€ per graft, and for sure I need between 2.000 to 2.800 grafts to lower my hairline, reconstruct the temples that are pretty much gone, so do the math between 4.000 to 5.600€uros for the transplant, and everything above 2.000 grafts would be done in 2 surgerys.

    Your scarring looks pretty intense. Are you satisfied with the result and at what hair length is it still visibile? I usually go to 9mm on the sides.
    Have you tried Verteporfin for your 3rd transplant? I heard some suregons start using it to prevent scarring.

      @MrRolandas  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I could get away with grade 2 on the sides and back (which is about 6-7mm) before 3rd transplant. Anything shorter and it becomes somewhat visible.
      I'm lucky to have such huge amount of donor hair surrounding scars, and since extractions were spaced out very well, it's homogenous and doesn't draw eye to it.
      I haven't done Verteporfin. I know about it and It's promising, however I don't think I will need it. It's way too early to be using it, it's still in trials (besides my doctor doesn't use it anyways), but I'm hopefull for future patients.

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Surgeries on their own are not the problem.
      If done carefully you can have 20 surgeries. As long as the hairs are extracted evenly and not too much, it can still look good.
      Dr. Zarev shows this all the time with his 14k graft sessions

    Im glad you are back to youtube as you had a big hand in me choosing dr. Ferreira for my 1st transplant. Going back for a second one early next year. It was very kind of BF to offer you a free surgery, you certainly deserved it! I recently got an email for the clinic they now offer PRP with every surgery. Do you think it makes a difference? Did you get it with your 3rd surgery? Also, why are you still on 2,5mg as dr. F usually suggests taking 5mg? Thanks and keep providing the community with great content!

    • @MrRolandas

      Dr. Ferreira indeed advises 5mg OM, however I'm not willing to increase dosage if there's no need.
      I rather keep this for the future should I need it just like with dutasteride

    • @janjak9645
      @janjak9645 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MrRolandas They just started offering it a month ago, saying that the growth factors in PRP may help stimulate hair growth, improve healing time and skin quality, enhancing the overall result of your transplant. It costs 300eur per session. I have until next April to think about getting it done with my surgery. Regarding the pill dosage, I agree, it is good to have some backup options if your hair loss turns for the worse.

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Personally, I'm not a fan of upselling something a doctor thinks is best. Doesn't make any sense.
      It's in the doctors best interest to get the best possible outcome for his patients. If this would be as good as it sounds, a doctor would do it by default for every patient. I understand there's cost involved in equipment etc, but again, IMO this should be factored in a final price, instead of having it as an upsell.

    • @janjak9645
      @janjak9645 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MrRolandas I agree completely. I think it is offered only as an option is because they do not really know the effect of PRP. They even say in the email: The growth factors in PRP MAAAAAAY help enhancing the overall result - which does not sound very convincing at all. A friend got it with his hair transplant and said the plasma was just oozing out of his scalp the first couple of days. My feeling is it can do more harm than good pumping extra fluid into an already swollen scalp after surgery.

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This has been a common practice in a bunch of clinics tbh.
      I'm not aware of any data stating specifically if it does help, and everyone seems to say the same "it may help". This ofc doesn't mean such data doesn't exist.
      I don't see how this could harm, so I'm not against it, however I'm against the idea of upselling.
      IMHO, a patient should not be deciding on things to choose for surgery & recovery.
      This should be doctors' responsibility having patients' best interest at heart. To me, this falls into same category. If he thinks it works - do it for everyone. If he doesn't think it works - don't do it. He supposed to be deciding this.
      Having it "on offer" seems like a marketing tool more than anything. I certainly wasn't offered it during my surgery.
      It's ofc just my opinion, and everyone is running their business the way they see fit.

    • @MrRolandas
      @MrRolandas  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Shaving head is not required, however it's best for doctor doing the surgery. Having longer hair all around can give false perception on where doctors needs to implant and where he doesn't. You wouldn't want to go back and do it again just because of some weird spots that don't look "balanced".
      It's also time consuming during surgery which leads of significant decrease in graft count possible during a single surgery. It gives pressure to doctor to try and do more grafts if they start falling behind, which can leads to a host of "human factor" issues which you certainly don't want. Even in best hands things can go wrong, we're all humans.
      Lastly - recovery will be compromised. You must keep your scalp clean, have minimal touching recipient areas etc. All such aspects will fall due to having a lot of surrounding longer hair, which again gives another thing for potential failure.
      My opinion - do it once, do it right. That's what I did and it's been all but success.
