“Wim Hof saved my life.” - Naudi Aguilar

  • Entrepreneur and self-professed ‘human behavioral scientist’ Naudi Aguilar is acutely aware of the extent to which we, collectively, have moved away from our natural state of being, and the debilitating effects this has had on both our bodies and minds. But he also recognizes man’s resilience and the potential to reverse this tendency, and in this he has found a kindred spirit in Wim and his Method.

    I suffer from PTSD it is an agonizing mental illness that i couldn’t control. Last week i was told that my mother was dying and once again i was desperate. By chance i listened to Wim Hof and jordan Peterson .....decided to do the breathing than jump in the cold December outdoor pool and guess what: SLEPT FOR 10HOURS STRAIGHT ! i am sold.

    I suffer with crippling depression and anxiety. Every kind of neurotic thought. I really have been feeling better lately because of WHM. I’ve stopped breathing slowly. Forget that. “Just get it in” as Wim said on Rogan.
    So yea, in addition to the breathing and cold showers themselves, I’ve changed how I breathe moment to moment and I go outside when it’s chilly without a coat. I embrace the cold now. I embrace life now. I embrace challenges more readily. I’m 4 days in and it’s changing my life 100%. Get high on your own supply to be happy healthy and strong !

      Well done Tim. I remember many years ago as a young man suffering from acute depression. I went on holiday to the east coast here in the U.K. and on the first day ran and jumped in the sea. It’s not called the North Sea for nothing. It’s very cold and the shock was a massive jolt to the system. As I came out the sea I had a momentary glimpse of the world as it is, as if the curtains had been opened from a gloomy room onto a sunny day. I wasn’t ready to come out of that cocoon of depression. It took me many years to get well. Ironically I’ve ‘discovered’ WHOF in the last few months and even though I’m well, I really think it’s more than just a placebo. I think it works 100 %. Keep at it and don’t let yourself or anyone make you feel you don’t deserve to be happy.

      I deal with serious depression and IBS. Of course they also exacerbate each other. I've been taking cold showers for about six days and started the breathing exercises yesterday. I'm feeling somewhat better. I decided to do this after a break up and because I am desirous of improving my health.

    • @tpstrat14
      @tpstrat14 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@QUINTUSMAXIMUS that's great. Not the break up, but that you're taking steps to take care of yourself. I have almost completely lost the connection I felt to the Wim Hof Method since I wrote this last year. It was all placebo I guess. I don't know. But it did last for several weeks, not just 4 days. And the breathing does help me from time to time. It's just not nearly as powerful as at the beginning when I wrote this

      @@Pikermanertjie Tbh, I used to believe everything these so called doctors and experts said, but now I just can't believe them, like you said it's a business, and It doesnt make sense to take these pills all the time, my eyes have now opened and it's clear as day that most of modern medicine aims at targeting the symptoms not the cause. I'm actually so grateful for Wim.

    Back around Christmas of '20 I had been suffering from severe depression and thought quite a bit about suicide. I have had mental/emotional issues most of my life. I watched a Jordan Peterson video with this Dutch hippie. I didn't want to burden the people that I loved by killing myself so I thought I would watch the video. What did I have to lose? After that first breathing session, I felt something. I swore that I would never do cold showers as I hate the cold. Last winter I was taking 6 minute cold showers during a very cold winter.
    I don't know if Naudi was as low as I was or not. Wim most definitely saved my life as I would have almost certainly ended it by now. If you know someone who is chronically depressed, they need this. It will help them.

    ¸people need to learn that everyone has different archetypes, not everyone is a ˝healer˝ archetype and has the patiance or mood to explain everything to everyone, it is clear that Naudi is a warrior type, this more dominant and aggressive (even though he still does good things)
    Look at Elliot hulse for more of those ˝archetypes˝, its not some voodoo, its just types of people, if you understand everyone is different you can learn to take what they do have to offer instead of judging them for what they are not and ˝you think˝ they should be.

      Hash is absolute muck in your system. It lodges in the reproductive organs. But surely you know this already? Goood luck with your offspring. Once the plant is burned it becomes utterly toxic to the system.

    • @michaelhering8108
      @michaelhering8108 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MimiYouyu thc is stored in fat cells, not reproductive organs. Your body will process is through your liver and whatever trace amounts are left will be excreted through urination. Smoking Marijuana can have similar effects as smoking cigarettes, if abused. But no studies have shown to have any effects on offspring, so long as its not abused. Friend of mines mom smoked weed through her whole pregnancy with him and he's now an very successful engineer in NYC. Fruit for thought.

      I will preface this by saying Wim is brilliant. But, here in this interview, I thought it was the one sentence he should have ommitted. It wasnt true, people wouldn't behave like dogs if you put them in a in a dog kennel.Its dumb attention grabbing nonsense, you see self made fitness gurus coming out with such sillly statements and analogies, just to sound clever, but if you really listen , it is signifying nothing.Not a thing. Its bullshit, plain and simple. Wim is never ever doing this. He doesnt need to. This man here obviosly has had alot of stress, and is still working on himself. Good. But less is more, just say how you feel. Not try to sound clever all the time.

  • @JamchesterBoozle

    Wow. I know all of what this guy said but keep ignoring it. He's just described me exactly. I'm pretty healthy and always been sporty and active. BUT, i work at a desk where i get stressed and anxious everyday. No wonder I get unexplained anxiety attacks which can last for a month! I need to do something. I wasn't designed to sit at a desk like this. It's time to change, it's time to take that huge leap of faith and change what I've been doing for the last 18 years. This is gonna hurt, but it's going to be the most important decision I've ever made.

    Just done my 1st breathing and the push ups then legs in the air followed buy cold shower . Worked my way from light warm down to cold. I've been suffering since2017 and still are today. Not sure if it's lyme disease atm. I've never had anxiety and depression. But since 2017 It's been a hard battle. I'm not on any meds as I've come off them. Toxic bull shit.... well after an anxiety attack this morning and pain in calves and upper thighs . After doing this I feel alive. Yes the discomfort is still there but NO where is bad as it has been. I'll continue on this path. Not just for me but also for my family . My wife and daughter who is only 3 need me. And I will get back to training one day. I used to train 4 times a week. I still have my hard job as a plasterer . Yes some days will be tough buy I'll commit to getting my life back . Don't read septic comments just do the 4 mins and see for yourself my head cleared after breathing . Thank you wim hof ..... Thank you. 🙏

    My gfs father really needs wim hoff , but unfortunately I can’t make Anyone do it but I can tell them my ill in the body an the benefits I get from it . An unfortunately old people that are not open to listening to others experience or even giving it a go . are going to crumble with pain and leaving this world like they wish they did listen to an learn new ways because the younger are always evolving . So is the older but not as much

    How do you start when you are is so much pain and can't hardly move 🙋🏻‍♀️

    • @trulydeadly
      @trulydeadly 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The great thing about it is that it's very accessible for people with chronic pain. Whereas exercise(and it's myriad benefits) can feel out of reach for us, the Wim Hof Method can unlock these benefits(and more besides) without a need for pushing yourself to exercise while suffering from inflammation etc. which can be excrutiating and cause damage in the long term. Search for the guided breathing exercise with Wim here on TH-cam, practice it everyday on an empty stomach. After the breathing, hop into a cold shower for as long as you can manage in the beginning and gradually increase your exposure to the cold. (aim for 2 mins, then 4, then 6 etc.). Listen to your body. I hope you experience the benefits as I have.
