This is unfair comparison. Indonesia had a lot of peoples (240 millions) vs Malaysia only 30 millions peoples. So its easier for Malaysia to develop their country than for Indonesia. Why you dont compare total GDP ? Because Malaysia lagged behind in GDP. If you count only 30 millions Indonesians with the highest standard such as in Jakarta you will see Indonesia actually higher than Malaysia.

I'm from Malaysia. It is true that I was happier when I was working in the Philippines a few years ago. I miss Philippines so much, I love the wonderful friendly people, savoury food and both modern cities and other beautiful places there.
Im a malaysian and i went to thailand and indonesia some times ago. I really love my experiences there and looking forward to visit vietnam, philippines and laos after corona. Every country in this list have their own unique elements. I love all 6. 🥰
Highly recommend visiting Vietnam. Our country has so many beautiful sites and interesting, unique culture that sure you’ll enjoy. It’s hard to list everything but I’ll recommend some places so you can look it up and decide. In the North, Hanoi(the capital) is a must, within about 100-200km ish from there we have two phenomenal natural beauties in Trang An and Ha Long Bay(one of 7 wonders in the world). In the centre part, Phong Nha is the place where you can visit phenomenal caves and forest. The world longest cave system called Son Doong is located there. The city of Hue is our citadel so there’re stuff you’d expect to see in a monarch, castle, costume etc. 2 other famous cities that are connected in centre Vietnam are Danang, famous for its beaches and theme parks and Hoian is an ancient town, lots of cool stuff sold there. Definitely, you should go there. And in the South, there’s Ho Chi Minh city, basically a cosmopolitan urban centre, financial hub of the country. Anyway, sorry if it’s a long read but just wanna recommend some places that you should visit if you’re coming to our country. Cheers mate, I’ve been to Malaysia in 2019 and it was a great trip, although I only visited KL and Putra jaya( if I’m not mistaken)

Singapore and Brunei are already developed country, their currency way more higher than others in this developing countries mentioned in the video. They can't be compared in this chart.

Im a malaysian and i went to thailand and indonesia some times ago. I really love my experiences there and looking forward to visit vietnam, philippines and laos after corona. Every country in this list have their own unique elements. I love all 6. 🥰
Highly recommend visiting Vietnam. Our country has so many beautiful sites and interesting, unique culture that sure you’ll enjoy. It’s hard to list everything but I’ll recommend some places so you can look it up and decide.
In the North, Hanoi(the capital) is a must, within about 100-200km ish from there we have two phenomenal natural beauties in Trang An and Ha Long Bay(one of 7 wonders in the world).
In the centre part, Phong Nha is the place where you can visit phenomenal caves and forest. The world longest cave system called Son Doong is located there. The city of Hue is our citadel so there’re stuff you’d expect to see in a monarch, castle, costume etc. 2 other famous cities that are connected in centre Vietnam are Danang, famous for its beaches and theme parks and Hoian is an ancient town, lots of cool stuff sold there. Definitely, you should go there.
And in the South, there’s Ho Chi Minh city, basically a cosmopolitan urban centre, financial hub of the country.
Anyway, sorry if it’s a long read but just wanna recommend some places that you should visit if you’re coming to our country. Cheers mate, I’ve been to Malaysia in 2019 and it was a great trip, although I only visited KL and Putra jaya( if I’m not mistaken)

Did yall know that Malaysia is a country that is so pacifist that they have history of Indonesia and Philippine attacking them but they never attacked them and there's 3 historical event where Malaysia tried to connect the countries together but failed, and they still wanted to make connection with them.
Malaysia only defend their place when the attack of Indonesia or known as "Ganyang Malaysia" (you can search this in wikipedia ) or the Philippines attack on Lahad Datu, Sabah in 2013 but they were so pacifist that they helped Indonesia when the tsunami Aceh tragedy happened and help Philippine with their economy.

Since the independence of philippines, no more payment was given to sultan of sulu something like UN resolution to solve the issue of territory and so the people of sabah choose malaysia. In 2019, compared to Thailand,
Malaysia’s GDP growth rate was around 1.3 times higher, but population growth rate was almost 5 times higher.
Philippine’s GDP growth rate was around 2 times higher, but population growth rate was almost 5 times higher.
Vietnam’s GDP growth rate was around 2 times higher, but population growth rate was around 3.5 times higher.
Among these 4 countries, even though Thailand has the lowest growth in “GDP”, its growth in “GDP per capita” is the highest.
So for me, Thailand’s economic performance doesn’t look all that bad.
