Gives credit to Bosh when talking about maybe the most important shot of his career. Class act.
True but it was a huge play by bosh too. Hoopers know that. Ripped it down and found the perfect guy in the perfect spot. Of course the shot was still bigger but bosh made it happen
Would've never had the shot not for bosh yeah the shot is the cherry but with the modern game rebounding is so overlooked especially on the offensive glass in the clutch
Maybe the biggest shot in NBA history
Give Chris his flowers cause he's knows no rebound no shot
I feel like Ray can relate to Bosh in that they were the 3rd guy in their respective championship teams but were the ones that sacrificed the most. when you think of that Celtics team you think of Pierce and KG, Allen is just thought of as a 3 point shooter, but he was more than that he just played what his team needed to win. same with Bosh, LeBron and Wade got all the glory but Bosh was according to Spo that teams most important player and all you gotta do is watch that game 6 in 2013. Bosh had a bunch of clutch blocks, rebounds and defensive plays that if he don't make the heat lose that game and that series.
Nah but people need to realise ray Allen isn’t just a three point shooter. He can dunk, mid range, finish, and he’s also clutch. Very underrated dunker especially.
Faxx
Put TMac on a poster
he never been underrated after been infamous in sonics and boston. And 10 times been voted as an all star
And I'm just gonna put it out there that Ray gave Kobe the business in his bucks days.
@@kingmeruem1 he only underrated to the young kids since they never seen him when he was young and was the star on the bucks and sonics
Craziest part of the miami 3 to me was he stepped back instictively to the 3 pt line. Didn't waste a second to check his feet, just muscle memory
Absolutely. He literally practiced that same shot, running backwards from the paint to behind the 3 point line, thousands of times, so it really was his muscle memory. That moment was the culmination of all that time and all those repetitions he put in, and you can't help but admire when hard work pays off.
yeah, that's why the purpose of him working on that shot. To be able to step back without looking at the line if he still in bounds or out.
Hes talked about how he practiced a drill for a lot of his career where he would lay down belly down under the basket and then jump up, run out to the corner and shoot a three. And he said hed practice that a ton of times, had to make a bunch in a row before moving on kinda thing. Its definitely a shot he practiced. Like he said in his HOF speach, it wasnt about talent, but rather hard work.
Love how he gave props to Bosh saying his rebound was the biggest play in that sequence
The most Ray Allen moment of all time - hits a legendary, some would say career defining 3, and then credits someone else for doing the hard work. Never was one before him, wont be one after. Truly a unique soul.
Ray Allen with the bucks was a beast he could do it all on offense
Bucks will never retire his jersey because its giannis number now.
@@beauher7902 of course they won't, giannis drafted to bucks, won back2back mvp, and won finals and finals mvp, thats so legendary, and top 3 in scoring, it was a blessing in disguise they didn't retire ray allen's number
@@beauher7902 they were never gonna retire it before Giannis exploded into superstardom. They had 2-3 years to retire his number after Ray last played but they didn’t retire his number.
His dunks and shooting are insane
In my opinion, he is the greatest shooter of all time. When has Steph Curry had a clutch 3 in the finals with under 10 seconds?
@@eruptrl8893 nah I am a paul pierce fan/ 10% celtics fan, and Curry is goat shooter guy until someone comes in and does something even more crazier than Curry, but if I want a clutch 3 in the biggest stage of them all, or in the playoffs, I am taking Ray Allen over Curry anyday, no arguments or regrets
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 if it’s a cns three sure, but if it’s off the dribble give me curry
@@eruptrl8893 curry has only had one opportunity in his career to do that before, and that was when two defenders were closing out on him, one being kawhi leonard... don’t act like allen would’ve made that shot
@@myweirdsecondchannelwithap9070 he missed one on an iso with kevin love, ray hit clutch 3s on 2 defender guys before
One of the very best players I've seen & beyond clutch. He transitioned from primary to 2nd/3rd option, to role player & gracefully excelled at every position. Could do it all & was a key influencer in ushering the 3-ball heavy style of play we see today. HOF/Top-75 very much deserved. I Would definitely watch a 30-for-30 on that entire Heat/Spurs series.
That Ray Allen 3 to survive Spur's and force a game 7 was undoubtedly the best shot ever in NBA history, especially with how it all turned out. Hot damn that was beautiful
"James catches, puts up a three! Won't go, rebound bosh, back out to Allen, His three pointer.. Bang! Tie game! With 5 seconds remaining."
As a miami heat fan those are the best words
@@its_boring_moi.9603 on god
Remember, that's the shot with Chris Smoove in the crowd lol
not surprised LeBron shooting a brick when it matters most, got his ass saved by ray ray
“SPURS DO NOT HAVE A TIMEOUT!”
Ray Allen hitting that corner 3 against the spurs in the finals will always be clutch 🤧🔥
Ray Allen Is A Living NBA Legend
He became The greatest shooter in the 2000's before Steph Curry came & after Reggie Miller retires.
Ray had a unique style in that he was a raw elite athlete and one of the greatest shooters of all time. Rarely has anyone on a nightly basis had the ability to drive to the hoop and slam it in traffic and still be a pure shooter in the midrange and outside.
Better than Steph to me..
Ray is so humble, we don't get those players anymore sadly.
The player who made you like the NBA!
I've been a fan since I first saw it in the Bucks era! The buzzer beater in the heat era final cried when he won his first victory, when he was hugging with Reggie Miller!
I also really liked it when Ray Allen, Glen Robinson and Sam Cassell were rampaging in Bucks.
his corner three game winner would be the greatest moments forever
that 3 he made on the heat is one of the most clutch shots ever made
Bro i just loved how Bosh didn't hesitate to pass the ball to Allen
Ray allen one of the best 3 point shooter and scorer of all tims
Man seeing Ray's highlights from Milwaukee and Seattle was like a time machine for me since I never saw him live when he was with those teams. Crazy how much of an individual star Ray Allen was before being joining the Celtics
How is he so humble when talking about these moments? Love you, Ray!
It’s nice to watch these old school highlights because back then the regular season games mattered. You could feel the intensity see the disappointment on the players’ faces when they lost. In today’s game, most teams aren’t taking it personal when they lose a regular season game. Shit, some teams don’t even look like they’re in pain when they lose a playoff series (See this past season’s Timberwolves for evidence: KAT could not care less that he got eliminated.)
Ray Allen vs Ben Gordon aka Kobe 2.0 that whole series was amazing
i strive to be as great of a hooper and as humble when it comes to looking at past successes 💪🏽 🐐
An almost impossible jump shot to defend: he gets so high. Crazy good Ray, crazy good.
One of my favourites😂
My favorite player during his run in Seattle. Lewis and Allen were heroes to us in Washington.
Absolute legend!
His shooting and dunks are unbelievable.
Ray Allen Bucks era is super incredible 🔥🔥🔥
What a great and humble player Ray Allen was.. that's why i adore you so much
Ray Allen Can Dunk and Shoot 3 pts,, Just WOW Amazing NBA player ❤️
It's kind of a requirement for shooting guards during those times. He was up against guys like Kobe and TMac.
The height on his jumper along with his form is BEAUTIFUL to watch. I've always loved Ray Allen.
prettiest release that i have seen. also he explains things very well which makes these types of videos interesting. those few dunks he did as a younger player are plain sick!
So humble, giving credit where it's due
One of my favorite players!
Milwaukee loves ray ray
one of the all time best...no doubt!
his body mechanics on that game 6 shot was beautiful. his momentum backpedalling but doing his best to rise up square and balanced just has a graceful effect to it
Ray has had a very intriguing career.....4 different parts ....pretty amazing
Bout Time, I really hate you retired you still my fav player
Can we talk about how much bounce Ray used to have?
Need more of these!!
legend. his dunks were so smooooooth
Didn’t realise he was this underrated as a clutch player. The guy has as many clutch plays as the guys who are usually synonymous with being clutch - MJ , Kobe etc. Not saying he’s on that level but he’s made for the clutch moments.
What was always odd to me is how great a slasher shooting build he was early in the league. Just a great talent. But a lot of people never saw that ray Allen and only saw the Boston and Miami one.
Fr fr he is one of the best sgs ever but had a short prime where he really was a superstar
One of the humblest guys I ever saw on NBA talking about bosh rebound and he just did one of the best shot in his career
People forget ray Allen wasn’t a shooter he was a score dude had a 25ppg season I think twice he’s a huge inspiration based on the fact that he was pure scorer an changed to the best 3 point shooter in history in a short time I mean come how can you not like ray Allen
one of the greatest
to ever play the game
period peace
*This last throw in Miami cannot be shown separately. You have to show the whole period, how much they lost, how the fans went home and wanted to come back. It was like a short movie with a perfect ending.*
humble superstar
Was laughing too when he hit the GW at Charlotte as if he almost splashed the ball. Very hard to splash a ball from upkey as there is benefit of the heel. And almost every team that time really want to beat them so badly. When he hit another GW against the Bobcats in Boston, was much even funnier. Gerald Wallace was a bit there in front of him and still hit it no cords. 🤣🤣🤣
I remember that Bobcat game
Rebound Bosh, back out to Allen. 🔥
Favorite BALL PLAYER OF ALL TIME THE G.O.A.T.
ray allen is the master of the 3 pointers there's nobody better then ray allen at shooting 3 pointers
Pure class.
Ray Allen; all her shots are spotless and he's the greatest shooter ever!..
Even the machine couldn't shoot perfectly like him. All his shots were without holes.
Yea I hate when guys ignore the other guys who worked lebron made all the points to keep the heats in the game they always forget it was lebron making all those points prior then bosh catches the greatest rebound a offensive clutch rebound for Allen to be able to get that off
That winner over noah, maaan i tell you. He was other worldly in that series, as was ben gordon for chicago. Two uconn guys just trading haymakers. Best first-round series EVER
I gotta say this:
This is why I DON'T put Luka, Jokic, Embiid, or Giannis over other players
*BECAUSE*
We forget guys as Ray Allen in History. The full careers of some we measure on Rings & Championships, we get that wrong as well.
So it's UnMeasureable to put Players over other players. You Fanatics that aren't even fans make the Game UnBearable with talking points. That are Regurgitated from Bad Analysts or Commentators on SportCenter/ESPN.
Gratulations, brotha Ray Allen✊🏾, Hall of Fame Honors are DESERVED❗️🙇🏾🎖🏆🏀
wtf?
One of the Greatest shooter of all time in the league💪..no doubt about it
my fav NBA player
He is my favorite clutch player in 3 point area.....
God bless everyone and their family 🙏🏾

I love it when the guys reacting can give some background and embellishment on the story
Wasn’t able to watch him in his college days but my dad told about the battle him and AI put on against each other before the draft and i fell in love with his game since he got game like it really shocks me that yall didn’t know ray could dunk on folks he was a all around player in my opinion
People forget ray Allen wasn’t a shooter he was a score dude had a 25ppg season I think twice he’s a huge inspiration based on the fact that he was pure scorer an changed to the best 3 point shooter in history in a short time I mean come how can you not like ray Allen
One of the goat basketball players
Biggest clutch shot of our lifetime
Love that Ray credits Bosh. He never gets enough credit.
#HEATNATION WILL ALWAYS BE THANKFUL #BANG! #RETIRE#34
what a great career
The Man who saves Miami from losing Game 6.
Dude literally saved lebrons career. I bet if he ain’t hit that, Lebron may only have one ring
@@tainanking and tim duncan had a 6-0 record in finals like mj
greatest spot in nba history . idc what nobody says .
Still humble!!!

Greatest UConn Huskie ever.
Thank you
Wowwww!!! 😀🇵🇭💛💜
Nobody:
Ray Allen:This is one of my favourites
Alot of players and heat fans had their head down but two players believed it was still possible
America has stats for everything but sadly not one that shows how often Ray scored threes to keep his team up or destroy whatever run the other team was having
Grande
Great!!!🤟🔥
anyone know where i can watch the full game of that sonics vs lakers game when GP returned ? the footage looks HD here so they must have the full game in HD somewhere...
and honestly, james should get credited for that miss in game 6, if he couldnt make it, he was a "good" miss, it was a good miss and bosh could grab it. imagine it front rimed or it was a hard rebound and someone else got it? history would have been different. james shot a three, it didnt fall, but it was a good shot.
This dude was a savage rook! 😏👍✨
Chris Bosh inadvertently changed the game. Playing the center spot he could dribble shoot pass rebound etc and because he could shoot SAS had to choose their poison stop the 3 at risk of missing out on the boards or risk the 3 from Bosh on the line. After this every center had to be able to dribble shoot and pass or they wouldn’t be able to play in the league it completely changed how teams drafted and developed the bigs
Ray said there should be a 30 for 30 on the last shot. While there is not an ESPN film, there is a Secret Base deep rewind video on that shot that is awesome. th-cam.com/video/PHpJxKaw5qg/w-d-xo.html
The last part I do remember that...
Awesome
Curry can be the greatest shooter but Ray Allen is the greatest CLUTCH 3 point shooter.
He got game
boxing rondo and saving bron.
Respected by everybody
Bro ray allen
It still just baffles me that they were able to engineer a team with allen, bosh, wade and lebron. Just ridiculous. And they only won 2 rings which is crazy
People forget ray Allen wasn’t a shooter he was a score dude had a 25ppg season I think twice he’s a huge inspiration based on the fact that he was pure scorer an changed to the best 3 point shooter in history in a short time I mean come how can you not like ray Allen
2:20 Ray like, "I tried to do that the other day right? Snapped all my ish up. All of it. Yep! Couldn't walk for 36 hours."
My man was jesus shuttlesworth, JESUS
Because he made the three-pointer, he must be the one who gets the flowers and applause. But we must not ignore Bosh's contribution. We can only say that he brought a perfect ending to this journey. Don't forget that this three-point opportunity was won by Bosh, and don't forget that before this, the Heat were 5 points behind, and it was James who made a three-pointer to shorten the score to two points. So, that's why the water cooler players can also get championship rings, because they are a unit.
Yea I hate when guys ignore the other guys who worked lebron made all the points to keep the heats in the game they always forget it was lebron making all those points prior then bosh catches the greatest rebound a offensive clutch rebound for Allen to be able to get that off
This is a common problem among most fans. If Ray makes the shot, it's Ray who saves LeBron's career. If Ray misses the shot, most people WILL say that LeBron is not good enough to lead the team to victory
