Over the whole world including the USA...cmon...that is phenomenal.

Agreed. Especially to beat the loaded US team.

Manu is the city of San Antonio’s favorite player in Spurs history. Everyone recognizes Tim is the greatest and we owe everything to Tim, but Manu is the fan favorite. There’s a sick mural of Manu on the back of a building on the Southside of San Antonio near Roosevelt and Steves. Nobody would dare vandalize it
I’ll never forget him speaking to the crowd in Español at those championship rallies. Timmy the 🐐 but Manu definitely the favorite.
And now we have our baby 👽 Wemby 🥹
I would put Sean Elliott up there with Manu.
Without Manu and Tony, SPURS wouldn't have won 5 NBA TITLES!
💛💛💛💛💛
How about them SPURS!

I know exactly what you’re talking about, I used to work near mission road
Its san Antonio safe to tourists?
Manu is GREATLY underrated, undervalued. Because he played with Duncan, he's overlooked. One of my favorites, ever. Absolute badass!
I think alot of people underrate him because of him coming off the bench all those years. Dude was a killer in late game situations.
i've been a spurs fan since i was old enough to watch basketball, but he's always been valued around here. maybe i didnt realize he was underrated league-wise.
@@Eighty8percent I put him in my all time top 5 shooting guards, and people go nuts, telling me, he was overrated, and rode Duncans coattails. It's crazy.
Was better than Duncan in the 05 playoffs. Manu won a title as the best player before DWade or Kobe.
As a fan Lakers we didn’t underestimate him at all..
In the modern era, imo, he's the 3rd best SG I've ever seen. MJ, Kobe, Manu. He had no weaknesses. One of the most creative if not the Most creative player I have ever seen. Top 5 highest IQ in history. Un-believable passer and floor general. Ice in his veins in the biggest moments. Went toe to toe with Kobe. Very very few could. Incredible defender. The most un-selfish player ever due to agreeing to come off the bench while many times in many games being the best player on the Spurs. On any other team would have avg'd 25+ppg, and 8-10 apg. Would have been All-NBA like 8+ times. Would have also been multiple time All-Defense. Without a doubt the most underrated player in history.
I grew up 45 mins from sa and a massive spurs fan and I tell everyone I can that he's top 5 sg all time for me and if you didn't get to see it first hand you didn't understand.
Because he sacrificed accolades and stats he became a Champion and forever a legend and fan favorite!
I’d throw wade in there too but honestly I’d take Manu all day over Kobe
Perfectly said!
@@chargedup6yeah ppl discredit manu cause he came off the bench and only avg 15 I tell mfs till this day bro could’ve lead his own team deep in the playoffs if not to the finals like bro won Olympic gold my boy be USA he’s him
A true definition of a winner, many players have the stats but not the substance, Manu was the real deal. So exciting to watch, a big time player and a great clutch performer. Big fan of him since he played in Italy.
Ginobili was must-see television. Magic kind of hit the nail on the head the way he described Manu as a super-exciting player to watch. Fans go to games and dial up games on television for it. And yeah, another outstanding video, Sean, many thanks!
There are too many great players on the Spurs to name here...but Gino was the most fun to watch.
Except when he called him European.
Kobe respected a lot Manu, because both had that mentality to win at all costs. And you have to do something special to win kobe's respect. I remember a story about the USA national coach, about kobe wanting to guard manu Ginobili and set the example for his team against Argentina, but then Manu got injured and Kobe lost motivation to play. That just shows how they were alike in terms of competition mentality. Manu also said in his retirement speech that his will to win was not healthy, because he was too obsessed with winning that he sometimes didn't enjoy the ride.
What like get put on your ass when he's your teammate
like he did Pao Gasol😂😂😂😂 SMH
Fr Manu literally had the same exact competitiveness as MJ and Kobe, but his body wouldn't let him play like both of them the whole game. Manu is and will remain my favorite player of all time.
With the arrival of Manu Ginobili, Euro step quickly spread all over the world.
Ginobili's ability to take on the role of sixth man for the team's victory is highly regarded as a major factor in the Spurs' strength from the 2000s to the 2010s.
He is one of the best sixth men in NBA history, along with John Havlicek and Jamal Crawford.
Manu! Definitely a superstar! Underrated a lot but even coming from the bench, the most important Spurs player at his prime!!!
Thank you for making this video. Growing up as a Spurs fan I always felt his stats never reflected his Game Impact.
Manu had that clutch gene that very few players ever have. It was a pleasure watching hIm play every game with such passion and genius growing up.
.
I absolutely love Manu. I’m a life long Spurs fan. Manu resonates with our city like no one has.
During autographs at a local spot, he met his time requirement. Seeing how many people were still in line, he stayed and took a photo with everyone. Unselfish warrior is how I would describe him.
I see Manu as basketballs Zinaedine Zidane. A phenomenal player with a unique game who could in a subtle way take over the game and provide the leadership necessary for a lesser team to find a way to victory. He was a very special player.
Any man who grabs a bat out of mid air has my utmost respect!!!
Mirarlo desde 🇦🇷 a los Spurs era un orgullo festejar.. entristecer eso fue GRANDE Manu me hizo VER basket no solo la NBA era fantástico verlo en medio de esos GIGANTES !
You didn't cover that manu won gold medal as an Olympian beating team USA. He was considered the second best to guard in the world only behind Kobe even when Wade was around according to the Olympic scouting report. He would have been a superstar somewhere else
Manu is a legend plain and simple
Hell yeah 🐐🏆🏆🏆🏆🇨🇱🤠☝️
Thank you for this video ! I'm from Argentina and a basketball big fan. As you may know, we have the soccer's GOAT, who is Lionel Messi. However, if you ask me who is the best sportman in Argentina 's history I will not hesitate and answer: Manu is ! What Manu did for our basketball is so hard to explain. Nobody was able to expect that Argentina would be the first team able to beat an NBA team in an international competition. Well, that happened in 2002, in Indianapolis. And the peak, Athens 2004 and the Olimpic Gold Medal after beating USA in the semifinals. That achievements were totally unexpected. Manu gave basquetball a popularity that never had in Argentina. And then...his NBA's career. 4 rings and the respect he gained among the superstars and legends like Magic or Kobe. Thanks again ! It makes truly justice to a good guy like Manu. ❤
"I chose players without egos",Pop. Manu was a everloving beast. Use to love watching him.
De los jugadores inolvidables que trascienden las eras...
Champion at every level he played in
He’s a true definition of a NBA player should be like. He was the most beloved player in San Antonio history. It’s not only because he was a great player and a great teammate to play with. It’s only because he played with the likes of David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Bruce Bowen and many others who were part of the Spurs organization. He is a Hall of Famer who retired his number with the Spurs.
he was always the X factor on their championship run
He was just one of a kind. He “clowns” the Lakers in his debut game, wins the chip as a rookie - and has pretty much won any trophy that is out there. And he has as many game winning plays that you forget that he was coming of the bench - who passes to Horry, make the block on Harden, wins it against Serbia, Warriors etc.
8:43 Manu never averaged 20 in the regular season but he did in the playoffs twice and one of those times was during the Spurs championship run in 2005. The ability to elevate your numbers in the playoffs from the regular season is something I really value tremendously when talking about a player's legacy and Manu not only averaged 20 in the 2005 playoffs, he did on better efficiency than in the regular season. Manu also scored more as an old man in the 2014 playoffs than he did in that regular season.
He averaged 19,5 That's 20 basically.
@@newchannel416 Not really but close.
@@showtimenick824 He averaged 19,5 in 2007-2008 and only played 31 mpg.
@@newchannel416 This is a pointless argument. Rounding up doesn't count to me but whether it does to you, I complimented him in my comment.
The fact questioning his inclusion in the HOF was a talking point is insulting. Manu was special.
He always tried to win more than the other guys. He was always flopping, always scrapping for the ball. He was tenacious and alot of people hated him for that. I loved watching this dude play with so much passion.
Watched my Pistons lock down Kobe in the 04 Finals with 2 of the GOAT perimeter defenders in Prince and Hunter then watched these 2 guys on skates trying to keep in front of Manu who dunked on Rasheed in his 11-point 4th quarter of game 7 and dunked on Ben Wallace the quarter before.
No one better use the "not most athletic" trope. His agility and body control was as athletic as there's been in the NBA and he's had plenty of monster blocks and dunks, including the one Jalen brought up when old bald spot Manu dunked on Bosh
Adanced numbers prove his greatness.

Manu was overlooked as an allstar and all pro because of his sacrifices. But he is without doubt the greatest defensive player ever.He has the greatest shot block ever on KD,that's never mentioned. He's easily one of the 10 best players ever, although noone would put him on that list because he doesn't have the stats, but if you saw him play and really understand basketball and everything he did for his teams, that would be all you need. Should have been 6th man of the year every year, defensive player of the year most and all defensive team every year. He could score in every way possibile and had so many hockey assists, that if added to his statistical assists, would probably be around 15 per game. That's the type of vision and understanding of the game he had. He saw things before they happened and made things happen the way he wanted. He was way too unselfish. How Parker got the finals MVP instead of him I'm '07,I'll never understand. He embarrased LeBron on both sides of the ball. He made Kobe hit him because he frustrated him so badly. I can't think of anyone other than MJ or Bird, that I might choose to start and lead a team over him. He did whatever was required at that moment. Honestly, he is probably the 3rd best player of all time,by just a hair behind Jordan and Bird. He WAS the Spurs. He was the epitome of a team player and really, what a basketball player should be. A great passer and scorer, despite not being a really great shooter. He could leader any team and he found ways to get everyone in the best position to score and defend He guided others to where they needed to be to win. He led Argentina and the Spurs to heights they couldn't have achieved otherwise. Had some great teammates who he made better and others he lifted to greater heights. It would take weeks to really explain his greatness on the court. He's also as classy as any celebrity I've ever met.Dude, you are definitely wrong. He could have been a mega superstar if he hadn't been so team oriented, but that is really what made him so great. He's definitely on my Mount Rushmore
I am a huge Spurs fan and Manu is an all time great!!!! So crafty and exciting!!!
If you haven't enjoyed Manu throughout his years in the NBA, you might wanna switch sports. Manu was chaos, a beautiful chaos.
He was a leader. Unique and old style competitor in an era that they still play defense.
To me, Manu was my favorite SG. He's unique, sneaky athletic, genius slasher, creative and super exciting. He could have been the finals MVP in 2005 NBA Finals. He was unstoppable throughout that season. Lastly, during the 2004 FIBA Olympics, he won Gold with Argentina as their solo bball star.
I love this! Glad you're giving GINOBLI the credit he deserves! GINOBLI!!!
Manu played with his heart! Aggressive, determined, committed, indulgent, prepared, strategic, selfless, without hesitation, devoted to helping his teammates win and putting them in that position to win! I played with a player I grew up playing with that reminded me of him. He played CYO games then played our game and would still win the MVP in both games. He stole the ball, he was the leading scorer, he’d be laughing while you were trying to steal the ball from him and could make it from anywhere on the court. Once I saw him attack, I knew he would be the toughest guy they be head hunting for! I told him in Spanish, No te Rajes! Don’t let them stop you! Mano a Mano.
Precisely for that reason.
He didn't become a superstar because of his humility.
The ugly thing about basketball today is because of the media and the players themselves who are superstars more for what they do off the court than for what they do on it.
Manu just played. He loved to play. And off the court pure humility.
Great video. Manu Ginobili and Jamal Crawford deserve their flowers. The SIXTH Man is so underappreciated.
Manu had is own style of basketball and was so entertaining to watch. One of my favorite players of all time.
Manu is the definition of dedication determination and all heart.
You made me a fan because I totally agree with you. Manu only cared about his team and winning. He didn't care about his personal gains. It was always about the team. He loved the game so much and he played every summer for his country, Argentina. Can you imagine how much better he would have been had he just relaxed like everyone else? However, he played year after year for Argentina on his off season because of his commitment to his Country and his teammates. He didn't ever complain. He played hurt and just sucked it up. I love him and he will always be my favorite player. Thank you for this vid.
Underrated! He's a superstar and hall of fame... Stats don't mean so much. In today nba, he would be as good as Doncic... He have it all... The mindset, the work ethic, the confidence, the IQ, the athleticism, the skills, the swag... He was before his time. Tell me one thing, Harden do better than him... Gino can play in a system and also be the system... One of my favorite guard of 2000s
well, there's one thing that he's better than manu ..... james harden can easily spot a very nice strip club in any city in the u.s.a ...... 😂🤣😂🤣-🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 ....
Manu!! Crack! Great Player Star, from Argentina, loved
Manu is an example for Never giving up, Playing constantly, Loving exhibition
We Spurs fans in San Antonio, know how special Manu was. He had already played as a professional for seven years before being drafted by the Spurs. And, he was p
art of Argentina’s “Epoca de Oro,” national team. Legend-Legend-Legend
One of the most unselfish, skilled, and talented players ever ! The guy would have started on 95% of the teams at that time. His "flop game" was on point too !🤣😂
Manu, es el mejor. Una bestia competitiva
My favorite player. Played the game the right way. Was a team player and backed it up.
I loved watching Manu. He was so scrappy and would do some amazing things. Be it passes, steals, shots or dunks all over people!!!! I would definitely love to have him as a teammate.
People take points stats too serious when talking about being the goat or mvp, but Manu was a court general. Everytime he got the ball you could see how he moved to make a gap in the defense to make a pass or shoot, one of the highest IQ in basketball. Definitely a underrated player that needs to be more respected
Manu came off the bench and simply electrified!
Best player of the 21st century, won 73% of the games he played, 4 NBA titles, beat the USA team twice. That winning percentage is the highest of all players with 1000+ career games, overall I think still top 5 or 6.
Kobe and Lebron loved Manu too. They had so many battles against the Spurs and Argentina so they had a deep respect for his game.
He is my absolute favorite player of all time! i love and admire him. ( i also take always No. 20 ). gracias Manu... Danke für das tolle Video :D
I’m a big manu fan thanks for this!
I remember when he was pulled from starting rotation…always felt Manu should have remained a starter. His impact on the game was immediate whenever he stepped on the court. Great player.
Love this channel so much. Just ball and facts about basketball
Manu won championships everywhere he played in his career- italian league, euroleague, nba and Olympics
Tim, Tony, Manu. The winningest trio in NBA history. Enough said.
in an era with prime tmac, kobe, wade, allen, AI and other great scorer/superstar guards, spurs had manu to give them something to work for when spurs come or they come to san antonio!
Such a great NBA/Basketball player
It was about strategy, manu coming off the bench , when the game came to the fourth quarter and we needed our big dogs in manu was in. It was all about strategy
Manu was more than a great player. He was/is an inspirational person. He is a phenomenal father, an introspective soul, and a world class role model.
I love Ginobili, I have his Jersey hung up in my closet. I hung it up when he hung up his! I love Manu. I actually ended up buying two jersey because someone stole one!
With the game on the line….Manu, Duncan, and Parker in their prime….i want Manu with the ball
If I have to expand the list of the 50's greatest to 75, I start with Manu Ginobilli. And even though Soccer is the #1 sport in Argentina. Argentina historically has beaten the USA Basketball team in World Championships and Olympics.
When Manu retired, he was the last of the few good players that we had in the NBA. I stop watching Basketball right after Manu retire. And now I'm back and it is because of Victor Wembanyama, he is the real deal. I don't know how long I will last because the NBA is brutal in its deterioration. But Victor right now, has brought me back. But I don't think I'll last that long, and that includes me been back playing Basketball 3 on 3 at the senior circuit.
Manu was a super star you forgot how he destroy tim Duncan and team usa.
The fact he has blocked pretty much every superstar hall of famer in his era proves his insane IQ and discipline.
Manu could’ve averaged 25-30 ppg easily
This channel has been excellent for years now. I have been so happy watching a genuinely good person succeed at something he's passionate about. Love seeing all the players he gets now as well.
If you do a little research you will find out tha this dude was a career like neighborhood champ, district champ, city champ, state champ, national champ in Argentina then goes to Europe and league champ, national league champ, Euro champ. Then panamerican champ, fiba world champ, olympic champ and few nba champs. Just like that.
He won respect of all HoFs from 20s, best South American of all time, and was the heart of SA during the glory days
Nobody played harder than Manu, loved his free style, effective af
Yes indeed… Manu was a fantastic player. Incredible IQ
I love how all of her performances are so
One word for Manu if you never got to see young Manu even…..BEAST!
Flopping is another.
One of the greatest 2 Guards ever
There are too many great players on the Spurs to name....Gino was the most fun to watch. He did it all. He destroyed offenses...he destroyed defenses. He put it all out there on the floor.
Finally! The Goat gets respect! Manuuuuuuuuu!!! Lets watch and enjoy!
His euro step is the best.
Nice vid. Manu helping Argentina winning the gold medal and beating a usa team with duncan, iverson, other established nba players, Larry Brown and his own coach Pop in the coaching staff, is one of the greatest achievements in sports. Look at his passing highlights if you havent seen them, because he's also probably the greatest passer at the shooting guard position. He was definitely a better passer than mj.
Ginobli is an afterthought because he voluntarily went to the bench. He was the straw that stir the drink while Timmy was the fountain and Tony was the engine.
Manuuuuuu!!! 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
Bench or not, a man's game speaks for itself. Too many NBA players act like no one will give them credit for their play if they aren't a starter. We live in an age of every stat being scrutinized. Players' stats have stats. Play well, starter or not, and the world will know.
Manu Ginobili is one of the greatest foreign NBA players in history definitely in my overseas starting 5 for NBA players
He’s definitely the most accomplished.
My all-time favorite player!
He was a superstar periodt
Crowd goes crazy over this guy during the playoffs . Very skilled
The Spurs are the team everybody wants to hide under the rug, cause it shows that good basketball can win on any Era. When people said players from the 80s couldnt compete now, explain how far away are the Boston Celtics or the Lakers from the 80s to this San Antonio team, if anything, they were better. And Manu was the Magic of the SA, you needed leadership from the PG you put Manu there, you wanted points you just unleashed him. He was always there hungry for more.
Talento;tenacidad e inteligencia solo algunos pocos...
Manu was a superstar
NBA legends explain why Manu was a monster- “Manu was a monster”
Great video, i love Manu!
Yea his game made it exciting to watch, came off the bench in a clutch, and preformed to his best ability to win, he wants to win, and it shows
Mamba knew Manu was a real one
The Master of the Euro-Step.....
For sure 1st ballot HoF
He would have been a STAR avg 25+ on any other team, and he beat the WARRIORS in 2018 1 game when LeBron could not
Manu will always be my fav Spurs player and I am a Huuuuuuge Tim Duncan fan
Pop is the brain, Tony the engine, Timmy the chassis and body and Manu is the heart
😏
I do love me some Manu
I was lucky to live in San Antonio when Manu started playing with the Spurs and Tony Parker and Tim Duncan and they were called Los Tres Amigos. It was fun watching them for years as I was Raised in San Antonio and watched the bad years but was always a a Fan and I Live in Washington State but remain a Spurs Fan.
Hi Im Manu, from Argentina. For me Gonobili is a Top 5 all time SG. It dosent matter the stats, or that he came from the benche, the only that matters its that he always close the games and was absolute crucial in clutch. I started watching NBA because of him, and I really became aware of out of this world talent when I saw a 20 compilation of his last season. There is no way to describe his talent to pass, fake, confusw his oponents, he's pace and rithym, he sae the play before it happen. Was somethin like what we see with luka. Thanks for this video!
Mi favorite player!
Yes finally a manu video. 🎉
Basketball reference was tripping on that. His sacrifice and what he brought to his teams are what made him so hall of fame worthy. Not many players like Manu exist.
