They don't make films like this anymore. Would be good to see sinbad return to the big screen. Maybe one day eh ? The fella throwing snow at the walrus always brings a smile to my face
Compared to other Sinbad movies, this one really skimps on the menacing creatures: a trio ghouls who look like rejected alien designs from Men in Black; a "giant" wasp that really only looks to be about the size of half a man's arm; and a giant walrus?
Well...a moderately giant walrus, given how living walruses can weigh up to 2 tons and stretch 13 feet long. Surprised they didn't make it much, much bigger.
Considering there once was a giant Walrus, Pontolis (4 meters long & 4 tons), this scaled up version is not too far-fetched. The only caveat is that Pontolis is known from California & Oreogon. So maybe this one was spending time in the Arctic for many reasons.

@@baalfgames5318 I'm afraid that mindset is not what you should use when aproaching Harryhausen films. For example, the walrus here isn't really a villain. Its an animal that came in wrong time and that results in fight. Harryhausen's creatures are not meant to be just brutish, one dimensional monsters. They clearly feel pain when injured and react to noises when such are made, trully looking like they are living creatures.

Hi, thank you kindly for uploading this
One of my favorite "Harryhausen Monsters". Led me to a lifelong obsession with walruses..

That Walrus looks like Tyrese Gibson 😊😅😂.
Grew up loving this movie.. great monsters and great memories .. 💥👍
Good memories
Gosh, that's a deep dive memory, used to watch this at my babysitter's house like back in preschool or kindergarten!
These Pokémon encounters are wild

Wholeheartedly agree, but Minoton (despite being wasted), Trog, and the Saber Tooth Tiger were all great
That Walrus is scarier than the one from Pingu.
Agree
At least this one is confirmed to be a walrus. The beast from Pingu seems to be a mix of a walrus with other pinnipeds.
¿What if happen is we combine the giant walrus with maguma (godzilla Kaiju) and todora (ultraman monster)?
Cant a giant walrus just be chilling. Id push you too if you started poking me with a spear. Id say the giant walrus was pretty polite.
I think this walrus was the only creature in this film that gets out alive.
Delicious 😋.

This is a cool monster
Walruses are opportunistic feeders and large males have been documented preying on seals so the idea of a killer walrus isn't that farfetched.
Boa tarde , até hoje eu gosto desse filme
Também , yes too

Does this gigantic walrus swim or not because all walruses are meant to swim ya know.

I like 2 compare this 2 the Allosaurus sequence from One Million Years B.C.
I like giant animals
Take Notes 📝 Tusk (2014) this is how you make a scary Walrus!
Is it wrong that I actually feel sorry for it?
Delicious 😋.
Nah. HTat means Harryhausen has done good work with animation.

鳴き声が時折、ゴモラなの気のせい?
It sounds like gamora
Why they used elephant sound to emulate walrus tone.
Delicious 😋.
Where is the battle with those 2 sabretooth in the tample?
Cool and I'm the first comment :)
