Ok, I am playing against red blue, please brick, please brick. Didn't brick ok I'll see myself out. I really think this is the number 1 deck of the set.
I guess it’s preference. But it certainly got a lot more tools to where the emerald steel matchup is not too difficult anymore. I’m just happy it isn’t Ruby/Amethyst. But nowadays I’m not worried about that deck anymore
I've been playing this deck. My rough matchups are against Green/Purple hyper aggro. Really tough to come back from merfolks on board for a few turns and dropping down some locations at the same time
Nice video! At 25:32 wasn't it better to quest with everything (and still kill robin/ursula with sisu)? You'd go to 14 with threatening lethal (3+1+1+1) and they could only go to 19. So they'd have to suicide some of their stuff into your board.
It only changes the outcome by 1 lore since we would be at 19 instead of 18 after they trade both ursulas into gramma tala. Losing to Pegasus regardless so I would assume it is better to trade in case they top deck let the storm rage on which they could have used with Ursula to banish Sisu. I believe trading was the right play.
Hey Zan, do you have any updates do this one? I really feel lost with this deck atm. I loved it in Set 3 but, damn, all those Sisus, do feel wonky somehow,
What else would you have done? His hand got fully got discarded in the end either way. You end up just top decking against this deck and you may as well have the ink for something good. Opponent had all the cards to play his game plan so it was near impossible to come back from this.
@@olieeburthe correct line would have been to cast one OJA and pass. Oja or be prep gets ripped next turn and discard the other off sudden chill. Then you go into Hiram and try and recover.
why wouldn't Ruby Amethyst win against emerald steel or this version or ruby sapphire? I have not had the time to dive into all the new yet so forgive me if it's obvious
Ruby sapphire can, I haven’t lost against emerald steel yet with my list, you can call his game bad luck or realistically bad deck building for having 25 uninkables. Never the less Ruby amethyst on the other hand struggles way more because they can’t really afford to have the uninkable sisu cards and that’s what gives Ruby sapphire a chance
Honestly kind of sad we now have a tier 0 deck, here's to hoping someone discovers the hard counter soon so we can punish the ruby sapphire players haha
@@2KgADay i find running anything aggro that has removal tears apart emerald steel. Ive used amethyst/steel for a near 90% win rate against it and same with the sapphire steel going midrange eith new hero mechanics. Smashing a ursala and firing the cannons on merfolk tend to set you up to win immensely easily. New diablo wait till they play the 2nd and grab your swords. Idk maybe its just the decks i play but this is my fav meta deck to get paired against. Ruby sapphire is like unwinnable for me and steel song is next hardest
1 and 2 drops don’t count. You can always play those. Unless your opening hand has zero uninkables but you just mulligan for inkables and keep the low costs it’s pretty simole
Looking at your list, honestly there is simply no way 4x Be Prepared is the way to go anymore. With 3x Sisu we are looking at 7 high cost board resets on a format where the most important matchups are a discard deck and the mirror, and I do think Sisu is the superior card. There may be better alternatives on those 2 slots, ideally an inkable removal that can take out Diablo would be perfect. Also with so many "X Strenght or less" effects makes me think that a 1/3 Tremaine/Medusa split can be just better. But I have not tried that yet.

Try to Add the new Ruby Pegasus 3-1 evasive take out Male Dragon - It will help vs Diablo and Pegasus vs Evasive
I played against this in locals last night with an amethyst steel aggro deck and man they struggled. I then got humbled by steel song so 🤷 lol

@@olieebur hold one of the one jumps so that way you get to keep one card in hand, his whole hand got discarded because he dumped it

Ruby sapphire was slumming in set 1 and 2, about time it got some shine. But it’s still not the best deck, we need a hard counter for steel emerald😂
