@@GUNMENusa question what kind of system is in this firearm is it DI, LS, or SS I'm looking to make a very similar rifle myself the only problem I have is getting the 16" barrel in 300blk but other than that I know everything I want
It's the 300 blackout subsonic round that makes this particular setup so quiet. Suppressors do a very good job cutting down decibels, but to achieve this quiet of a sound, you have to be shooting subsonic rounds.
The problem with movies and games isnt necessarily how quiet the sound is, but more about what the sound is. Here you can hear what really quiet guns actually sound like, in some games and movies its literally "pew pew", which is ridiculous to anybody that has ever heard real gunshots.
This is because Subsonic rounds are just that, subsonic. They don't break the sound barrier. A Suppressor is going to reduce the noise levels, but it can't stop a super sonic round from creating a sonic boom. In this case, subsonic + SOCOM 300 sps = insanely quiet
That is the cleanest and most eye pleasing gun I have ever seen. MAN I WANT ONE! I feel like I should have seen this video 8 months ago lol. Amazing editing and videography as well, cheers to you bud.
I've gotten a good friend of mine into AR's over the past year or so and his first AR was a 10.5" .300. Coming from hunting with bolt guns and shotguns, he wanted something that he could hunt medium sized game with that wouldn't be deflected easily by brush. With some of the various 110 grain ammo his gun clears 2,200 feet per second so its got solid energy and good terminal ballistics, but its also a defensive carbine obviously.
I just finished setting up my .300. Here’s my setup: A Faxon 7.5 inch 1/5 twist, SA bleed off gas block, LWRCI enhanced BCG, Lantac Cam Pin, David Tubbs .308 flat wire spring, TACCOM 3G 3 stage buffer and a Diligent Defense Enticer S.
Smooth and swift, it may not be silent, but neither is the wind! Anyone who gave you grief about starting out with 300blk is just jealous they didn't! While the 5.56 has good qualities, if you are using this for self/home defense, it is just the way to go! Thanks for the radical vid man, keep rocking!
The funny thing is that the strike industries dust cover is one of the only dust covers that actually lets you adjust the position of the detent to let you adjust exactly how tight or loose you want it to interface with your ejection port. You just need a flat security bit to adjust the screw the detent rides in.
I respect your approach. Went budget where u could and spent more where it counts. The lower is 1 place u can always save $. I’ve found that PSA lower receiver is no different than one I’ve spent 3 times the amount. When comparing Mil spec to mil spec.
Ur so smart and the only one who can combine the red dot sight and the back up sight together…well done…that is function and design together!Good job!Hope other can learn from it!Ur a smart guy man!
Outstanding review and quality presentation. You just earned a sub. I've been debating what to do for my next build: either a 300 Blackout or 20" 5.56. As I don't have a 300BO yet, I think this video convinced me to go with that caliber. Thanks again! Keep the content coming.
300 BLK was my first build as well, mainly because we used .223/5.56 exclusively in 14.5” barrel M4. I actually went to .300 BLK because bigger round = swinging a bigger hammer so to speak. Don’t throw too much shade on good old 5.56 tho I have seen it kill a lot of bad guys if you put rounds center mass in vital locations. I have become to like the .300 BLK in short setups because of weight, ease of carrying, and to be honest most engagements happen in close range in the civilian world. It is a niche that fits a certain need and has seemed not only by my experience but the likes of many that shoot more often than myself these days. Good review and your build.
Great overall review. My dedicated coyote/varmint rifle is configured much like yours with the exception of a Pulsar thermal scope. I use the Sandman S can and it is a pleasure to shoot night or day. Accuracy is more than acceptable.
@@GUNMENusa If you look closely at the detent you will see notches on either side of the ball. These are for a small screwdriver. Push the detent ball down with the end of the screwdirver to engage these notches and screw the barrel of the detent in or out to adjust tension. th-cam.com/video/WYOTvexe3Kc/w-d-xo.html has an example. Hope that helps.

Love your videos as always my man. Very curious, as I'm preparing to build my first AR. Where did you learn to build ARs? I'm unclear what guide to follow
Heck yeah man! Thank you! So what I generally do is find builds on Instagram that I like, then I research the companies of the parts I like the look of then if the parts are solid I’ll run them for a while and see if it’s good enough to keep! If you’re building one from the ground up, find somebody’s build you love and build it out with the parts you like. (You can find part lists for AR builds anywhere) then piece by piece build it out! I generally take my uppers to be built by a pro and I build out my lowers myself. If you’re going to build out a complete then just go with reputable brands depending on your budget. Aero is good lower budget.
I know its a little late but the strike ind dust cover ball detent is adjustable. All you need to do is unscrew the ball detent with a thin flat blade screw driver and it will extend out or in to fit your receiver.
Love the build, clean. The video, clear and concise; awesome. What made you go with a 8.5” barrel as opposed to any other size? Are you planning on doing another 300 Blackout build in another barrel length or are you satisfied with what you have? Do you use this for HD? Thank you. Again, great video.
can someone explain the iron sights not even having a remote chance of co-witnessing with the glass? Wouldnt you need to rip off the holosun in order to use them?
Great content brother. .300 was also my first build, still ironing out the kinks. Just had my gas block walk off on me. I had a bolt gun for the remainder of my training that day.

.300 blackout has a dual personality. It can be "sneaky boi". But it can also be a very potent PDW pistol for defense when a rifle is too big and a pistol isn't ideal either. Camping in Wild boar country for example.. Supressors are a moot point. Simply because Not many people want to go through the extra paperwork headaches for them. We need to reduce the paperwork legislatively .. and they'll become more popular

A 300 Blackout upper will fit on 556 Lower receiver. However, keep in mind most lower receivers are multi caliber. You can get a 5.56 round in a 300 BO barrel and it may not fire. However, Keep your 300 BLK rounds and 5.56 caliber rounds separate. Watch “will 223/5.56 fit in 300 Blackout?” on TH-cam.
