Cheesey nationalism. It’s cuz he’s a foreigner and white. You probably didn’t know your neighborhood was shaped through racism. Your city like nearly all cities greatly limits multi family dwelling and that’s a legacy of racism. The first zoning code was enacted by Lexington Ky in 1907 after they lost a Supreme Court case with a city ordinance that banned homes being sold to minorities. After that Lexington enacted that nation’s first zoning codes forbidding anything other than single family dwelling with minimum square footage and acreage rules to keep minorities out. But your right, when your white you have very little to complain about.

Well, unfortunately, there’s plenty of very valid reasons the Air Force has been trying to get rid of them.
Namely that they’re almost 60 years old, and will have no use in a conventional war that can’t be done better by other air platforms.
Oh, and the small fact that they’ve killed more Americans in friendly fire incidents than every other American aircraft, combined. The combat record may look good when they’re firing on terrorists who don’t have a counter, but the moment that the a-10 runs into any competent air defense, it’s gonna struggle just to stay alive.
Add to that, the speed is slower than some fighters in ww2. If your plane, that you are using in your military today, is able to be countered by antiquated ww2 40mm bofors, you have a very big problem on your hands.

Most missiles are proximity fuse, so they explode when they get close to the aircraft. The flares not only are there in hopes of getting a missile to lock onto the flare instead, but also to mask the actual location of the plane giving it a better chance to loose the missile.

I was in the US Navy back in the late '70s. I was in a light attack Squadron called
VA-304 FIREBIRDS. The aircraft that we flew was the A-7 Vought. I was an Aviation Ordnanceman. I worked on the weapon systems and 20 mm Cannons, and loaded the various weapons such as sidewinder missiles, Mark 82 bombs, mines, and so on. It was basically peacetime right after the end of the Vietnam war so there wasn't a lot of bad pressure going on. Me and some of my buddies had a lot of fun, and worked hard. I will never forget it.
