- After plugging into this incredible collaboration between @NeuralDSP and none other than @JohnPetrucciofficialit immediately sent me on a Petrucci binge... Because the tone is SO legit with my JP15!!!
So I wanted to write a tune that was inspired by some of my favourite vibes on his 'Suspended Animation' album! As a tribute to the man himself being an influence on me as a young player!

really awesome song and way of showing a plugin. An Archetype Rabea in this style or an Archetype Anderson, with less technical depth but a good allrounder, would be really awesome.

Where is our Archetype Bea? We need our Super Kraken, JVM and Soldano sims with a suite of wonderful ambient reverbs, mods and delays and brutal fuzz/overdrive options.
EDIT: Jeez man, this song is nuts. The drums and bass in your songs always support everything so well. No need to mention the crazy writing and Guitar playing quality.

@@DaveKanazawa I saw DT 20 some years ago in Tempe Az. They were the most boring band I have ever seen live. I got so bored I fell asleep. The only one with energy was the drummer. The rest just stood there like rock stars. They sounded great though
@@DaveKanazawa he’s not playing for them anymore. I met JP but it was a pain to even get to him. He had some huge bouncer try to rip my head off. Egos aside they are really good. Just not my cup of tea

I use This plugin with a telecaster fender and a focusrite scarlett.... Spunds horrible, they dont tell you certaing things about the mics that you have to use..

Another comment after listening 5000 times while pushing my son around in his pram. The best thing about this is how it stretches at the end. You expect it to end, but oh no, let’s push it for 2 or 3 more chords getting more discordant/beautiful, and he keeps the lead going up with it! My wife asks me why I’m crying when I return home with my boy. I know why, but I can’t explain it to her. She doesn’t like metal.

You can get these sounds with any decent modeler. There are TH-camrs who’ve already used the Helix to mimic these sounds and A/B’d them for comparison. The biggest reason so many people are excited is because Neural paid a celebrity to play through their plug-in. Yeah, this one sounds great, but it’s not particularly unique, or better than anything else on the market today.
Yeah but it’s £150 - how many modellers you know sound this good for £150
@@RabeaMassaad comparing the library of sounds in the HX Stomp to what’s on offer here, I’d argue the better value is in the Line 6. Also, the plug-in requires an interface, so what’s the real cost? By the way… great tones, great mixing, and truly fantastic playing.
@@JCleggy I guess it’s technically unfair to assume everyone has a computer and audio interface, but I think it’s still an assumption you could make these days?? And with that, it’s like, the quality of tone and effects on hand, for that price? I feel like, it’s a great price in terms of tone and effects quality. But that’s just me. Totally get what you’re saying on ‘the real cost’

Love this! Don't know if this will get seen this late, but new to the channel! Would you consider releasing/sharing the plugin presets you used for this? Or are you using one's that are baked in? Am sure JP himself would awe over your playing my guy
It seems for some reason whomever i heard testing of the plugin it hisses in high end harmonics more then Archetype demo with John Petrucci. It sounds pretty good, but imho very digital which is not a bad thing, just matter of taste and need. It lack of 3D sounds and smoothness of real deal, and kind a sound more compressed, but its also 40x cheaper then real thing so thats about that.
Man thats a beautiful guitar. I was thinking of getting a guitar for my son but I'm stuck between active pickups and passive? He is at an intermediate level I would say. Any recommendations from anyone on here. Thank you guys and girls!!

I have questions about how you go about your construction of your songs particularly the drums. I cant play drums! Do you starrt with a basic outline with a drum rhythm, intro-verse-chorus etc, or do begin with the guitar parts and add drum bits as you go? thanks in advance mate. im working w studio one and helix Lt and EZ drummer and im a newbie using daw and add ons.
