Because the front of the vehicle is also space that allows the subs to breathe plus it's so close to the dashboard basically it's like having the subs sitting in the passenger seat... So if anyone spots subs in a truck remember ( subs, amp / basically passenger seat will seem to hit hard but in actuality it's not ) but nice subs though 👍🏿

If that's a single 10" sub you have it in the wrong box.. to get the maximum bass from a single 8"- 10" or 12" sub behind your seat, you should put it a Bandpass Enclosure.. you can use your same Amp & put a lower wattage sub but almost Double the Bass just because of the Box
