When you’re on a long journey it can be easy to get caught up in every single challenge. In fact any lofty goal requires that we focus all of our attention on each problem as it arises. But now that we’ve completed our atlantic crossing and we have calm winds predicted for our to sail to Gibraltar, the gateway to the mediterranean, we have a chance to take a breath and look back on our journey to remind ourselves just how far we’ve come.

Fabulous. SPAIN TO THE NORTH, MORROCO TO THE SOUTH AND THE ROCK....OH, MY GOD! So few people in the world ever get to see that sight and you did it for all of us. OMG....and thank you.
Want you to know how much I appreciate your content! No bikinis, no foul language, LOTS of knowledge shared, demonstrated love and affection for each other and, of course Atticus! What a boat!
1st time we sailed into Gib was 1986. No radar, no Sat Nav. Just a School Teacher I had met in Florida the year before and a blue ChowChow. The last time I sailed out of the Straights was 2009. 50' Catamaran with every ounce of modern electronics available.
During the 25 years we lived in the South of Spain, we probably sailed in & out of Gib more than 50 times. Regardless of the boat or the equipment, it is always a white knuckles sail through one of the busiest shipping channels on Earth.
You guys did well. If you run into David or Dudley Evans, tell 'em the dog says hi.
Vacuum bags ( like Delos) put everything you can into Vacuum bags. Keep your clothes dry and fresh. Takes less space too.

Des I love the way you acknowledge that you really don't know what it will be like to be a Mom. Your candor will allow you to grow and mature as a parent along with your lovely daughter. Last video when you said "I can't wait to meet her" I knew following you thru the birth of your little one was going to be "must see TH-cam content". You two are going to be so blessed and the little one could not have asked for a better Mother & Father. Oh ya I almost forgot her little sibling Oso! 😍

Wonderful video! Congratulations on reaching another milestone. It’s been such a pleasure to see the transformation, in not only your sailing platform, but in you both as sailors. They about to leave that area.
It is so good to see how far you have come. I have actually transited the straights 3 times in the mid 70's on a Fast Attack Submarine and stood sonar watch using passive sonar just listening keeping track of over 50 contacts at a time. We never even came shallow to raise the periscope and take a look so your video is really the first time I have seen the transit.
Your channel has some the best video and audio ever. You certainly have grown as sailors and videographers over the years. Keep enjoying what you do!
Thanks again Jordon and Desiree for sharing another part of you journey. I can see the salt building up on you both for every nautical mile you travel. Soon you will be old salts and the experiences will be so much more stress free and gratifying. You guys rock! Once again.

Gibraltar is also referred to as "The Pillars of Hercules". Classical history begins there and you are sailing east into its heart. In your travels, I hope you explore the Greek islands. Get out and walk around. Fantastic video.

If so you have to visit the mother city for a few days and then sail to where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet at Cape Agulhas east of Cape Town ⛵

Your Pacific Seacraft 40 is about one of the most gorgeous and fantastic cutters (or any monohulls) out there. It's real sailing.
This episode reminds me of the silly old yarn about how England had sold The Rock of Gibraltar to France - and then the French voted to rename the famous landmark after one of their own 'heroes'... but nobody really wanted to have to call it "de Gaulle Stone" - for good reason, I reckon. "This, too, shall pass." Your mileage may vary.
Hi as always Desiree and Jordan, wow what a sight the Rock of Gibraltar is. I've never seen it up that close and didn't know it had vegetation on it, always thought it was just p l a i n rock but then again it makes sense that it would have vegetation. I've seen all of your episodes but never that many with ships around you and with slightly rough Waters. Desiree, you're black hair looks so shining and pretty, especially with it down. Well be careful and enjoy and keep your eyes out for any of those UFO s, adios.

Great footage of your passage to and arrival in Gibraltar. What a pain having a leak in the forecabin, when you have the time rebed all the fittings, and perhaps the toerail, in butyl tape. Oso seems to be enjoying his travels more and more.

Awesome! Lovely area, La Línea is just a normal town, but Gibraltar has some cool tourist spots. Hope you get to visit the best of the South of Spain, , not only on the coast area (Malaga, Marbella, etc.), but places like Granada, Seville and even Ronda. All the Mediterranean coast is fabulous, enjoy your journey there!
The big takeaway for me here is that “project boats” are (for most of us, anyway) fool’s gold. You two bought a FANTASTIC boat in Atticus II and it still required a good bit of re-fitting to be ready for what you’re doing now. I’m getting ready to go boat shopping myself now and as strong as the temptation is to buy something inexpensive and “fix it up”… the smart play is to buy the boat that someone else spent THEIR $$$ fixing up, upgrade what needs upgrading and go from there.

You can develop a leak in the forward hatch through the LENS and experience the kind've leak you are seeing. Temporary fix: take some electrical tape and use it to seal the edge of the acrylic LENS.
You're beautiful boat appears to have been a wonderful decision. It took some work to punch it up and look at you now crossing oceans. Wishing you many years of Joyful living and travel.

I'm so happy for you both and I've seen it happen many times where a couple will adopt an animal or a child and all their fertility issues go away and they end up getting pregnant not that you guys had fertility issues so the first episode we got to see osso I thought to myself how you all would make great parents and that you were great parents for a little Osso! I'm actually pretty good and knowing when people are pregnant and animals I've been a midwife for a long time it's an absolute Joy for me to experience pregnancy for someone who can't have children I adopt animals into my life everywhere I go and all children were my nieces and nephews so I turned out to be the world's greatest auntie🤣🙃😂🤔🥸
Sending you loving Good vibrations to you and the belly and don't forget to put headphones on your belly so the baby can listen to classical music and papa needs to read stories to the baby too thank you good even read the paper if that's what you're reading it starts the bonding early.
