Loved the show, love this song. Justin Cooley's facial expressions during this song are so sweet and charming. Can't believe this is his first show. Victoria Clark is wonderful.
Justin Cooley is sooo good as Seth Weetis. Victoria Clark is wonderful. Bonnie Milligan is beyond amazing. Kim's parents are played so well by Alli Mauzey and Steven Boyer. The show choir kids are fun and funny. David Lindsay-Abaire's lyrics and music by Jeanine Tesori are spot on. There's quite a few new musicals coming on board soon. But right now, Kimberly Akimbo is my favorite new musical currently playing on Broadway. I expect multiple Tony nominations.
I just saw it last week for the 4th time. There are some "Easter Eggs" in the show. Obviously, "ANAGRAM" reveals the source for the show's title. Second one: next time you see it again, note Pattie's leg brace between scenes.
@Sarah Weissman I would tell you, but you know what would have to happen! You...me...homicide...prison...misery and unhappiness. It would be so much better for both of us if you make it back to the Booth theater one more time for 145 minutes of happiness and bliss.

@Zack Stark In total agreement! I would add Justin Cooley as deserving a nomination. A Tony for set design, too. The way it transforms reminds me of the cleverness of the Company set (but with a smaller budget) Of course, Bad Cinderella, New York New York, and Shucked have yet to show their stuff, but Kimberly Akimbo is a front runner.
it's surprisingly easy to forget the actress's age during the show, since she's pretty freakin good at her job, but i'll agree that it is weird to see her sing this as the actress and not as the 15-year-old character
@@BroadwayMe no i admit everything i have heard is from these videos the show has released, but i would assume they are releasing the songs that best represent the show (if not, they have very questionable marketing tactics), and so far, i do not get the hype at all.
@@claddagh1826 Both Anagram and Better make more sense (and seem less creepy) with the scenes that precede them. Most of its impact comes from the staging and subtle acting choices that can only be experienced by watching the show in full.

This is such a charming "first love" type song, and it hits the teenage girl vibe so well.
This song is what made me decide to see the show when I went to NYC last year, I knew I'd love this musical when I heard this song!

Have you seen it? All the songs need context to understand. It’s one of the most entertaining and uplifting musicals I’ve ever seen.

The show is phenomenal, but I get your point. I don't think this would work if it was a guy playing the lead.
