One of the best recreations I have ever seen in OpenRCT2.

As someone who rode this countless times, this is excellent. Loved the beast station in the background

Never got to ride this, but you did an awesome job recreating it.

It's really amazing how easy accurate this recreation is. It's not perfect, but still incredibly accurate.

As a note, a little detail that annoys me. The vortex has an initial dip than a banked right turn at the start.

I'm so happy to have rct in my life since most parks don't have any of their classic rides anymore even nothing lasts forever though!
Roller coaster tycoon until the day I die!

This is the kind of stuff I used to spend hours doing when I played this game as a kid. I would actually print off pictures of iconic coasters from RCDB as well as its stats and then recreate the coaster in RCT2 to the best of my abilities. I think I was most proud of my Millennium Force recreation as in the parks I was able to fit it in, it would always have crazy long lines.

I was 6 when this opened and my dad insisted we go so he could ride it. I only remember walking in the park with my parents and him running off to get in line. I grew up terrified of roller coasters, and at 15 this was the first one I rode and was instantly hooked. That summer I rode it 40 times. It was a lot of fun at night before the park closed, cause you couldn't see the bottom of the hill in the dark. So much fun, and it is sorely missed.

    Very cool ! I can't believe that intensity rating is almost a 10 !

I loved this coaster, lots of loops but not overly intense. Not the greatest ever b the time i rode it, but I really like Arrow coasters so it's always sad to see them go.

This was a fun ride, but it always scrambled my head

I actually really liked Vortex, the pull over the drop in the back was incredible!

The anachronistic Beast in the background is a nice touch.. though in real life you couldn’t see that bit of The Beast from Vortex.. (perhaps you could’ve seen the lift hill, I’m not sure.) The Beast is (or at least was) a pretty secluded ride.

Any time I ever went to King's Island this coaster was always closed down, so sadly I never had an opportunity to ride it. Same goes for Top Gun/The Bat.

I remade the hulk coaster from islands, I would love to see someone like you recreate it! It’s a classsic

Is that chainlift sound edited or is that in the game?! Amazing!!

I'd take a "homage" or "remake" of this coaster anyday over Orion, the B&M fly-through giga coaster that was clearly rushed. I have no respect for parks that end up having to throw something out and replace it with something inferior just to try and please people, let alone a real classic like this one. If it "HAD" to go then the plan should've been to replace it, and to say at least reusing some of it's unique layout (like how it seems more like a hyper/mega coaster like Steel Phantom's Revenge for a big chunk) in new plans. Many manufacturers could've made a way bettter, more thrilling, and very long lasting replacement. Now they'll probably throw some overrated 1/2 as good thing in it's place by 2030 and claim a win. Theme parks were so much better when B&M was being more innovative and b4 Arrow got canned. We do have Vekoma and S&S doing some wonderful things but the former we are simply not seeing the USA catch on, and it needs too. Ask them to make a proper homage to "Drachen Fire" and I bet it'll be better than Steel Curtain, and be way better than another launch coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
    Anyways, sorry for the rant.
The design work and effort you did made me forget I was looking at a favorite game of mine somehow at times, cause of it being done so well and accurately, and obvious non-stock or actual arrow chain lift and break sounds.

A "Tribute" coaster that is a modern retake on the design of the Vortex would be incredible. Make it bigger, faster and smoother feeling using modern track building and design techniques to make tiny alterations to what is otherwise an upscale of the old design.
Particular attention should be given to altering heights to give some serious G-Forces through the lower part of the pretzel turnaround point, and attempts should be made to make G-Force transitions much smoother.
They should intentionally make most turns heartline for smoothness but have a few as far down as rail-line, just to give the riders a different, unexpected, sensation on those turns. I would particularly like if they started the ending helix with a track-line turn, and then slowly drew it up to heartline, ending in heartline, right before a hard upward hill. That would be the most amazing thing to do.

Nah. Made it lots of fun so you had hang time in the corkscrew.
