While I like the look of the older vehicle, I understand why “That which will remain unnamed” tried to stop a surperior vehicle from being imported. Crawling under the machine you find a steel transmission and transfer case instead of aluminum and plastic. Even with the newer moon buggy appearance I can overlook that for 2 simple reasons: PRICE I can get 2 Roxor’s for the cost of one wimpy “Trail rested” domestic FUNCTION- everything is built tractor tuff!
Hopefully someone will come out with a complete front/hood replacement kit to return them to Willy style front, the current court ordered 2021 look is horrific, it would scare small children and dogs. Eff "that which will remain unnamed", scared of quality competition at a reasonable price.
@@Jesussaves77789 Mahindra is a huge tractor brand in the US, my family used mostly Mahindra tractors, built in Texas. The Roxor was just really taking off, almost everyone did the minor things to make them street legal for half the price of a Jeep so Chrysler-Fiat who owns Jeep sued them claiming the Willy's contract from 1947 with Mahindra to make their version of the "jeep" was not valid in the US and a US court agreed making them change the front end, in following the crazy court ordered changes the new 2021 front looks horrific like some drunk guy came in with a saw and just started cutting and shaving parts. I am hoping a company makes a complete front end, hood etc kit to bring the new ones back to the classic Willy's look that people love.
@@deanfirnatine7814 The top 1/3 of the front grill looks bronco like, then the bottom 2/3 of the front grill they didnt change and looks like someone gave up. Honestly if they finished it and it looked like a bronco it would of looked better then their ugly grill on the old model. Of course ford might go after them but unlikely or make it similar to old russian suvs have a look that'll match (UAZ, etc) and couldn't be sued. They had a few good options and gave up - looks like they didnt want to spend $ on a designer and engineer and a full face lift since the front end basically is unchanged but a wider hood so it looks jacked up. Hopefully they can retry in a few years but man they might not sell enough with that ugly look and might give up. Oh well, $22k was still costly in my book for such an ugly/small body since they f-d up the jeep portions in a few places. Honestly, if they could make it a bit more modern & look good they would sell - even more so if it had coils, made a bit longer and be sorta old mid-size truck shape or body as the running gear is decent - I mean fuck in AU you can buy the land cruiser trucks new on the 1980 design (because they are so wanted toyota makes them new) Wish we had a something similar.
this is a common rail diesel , so it 100% requires a battery to run. the injectors won't fire if there is no 12v present at ecm. producing a mechanical injection diesel is now not economical as india requires euro 6 emission for cars and trucks, mahindra have not produced any mechanical diesel truck or car in last 15 years and even in their generators and tractors have moved to common rail last year under the new emission norms for farm vehicles. so this is not as mechanical as you think and it won't simply run with a dead battery like other mahindra's before 2005.
Pipes out the back like that suck all the fumes into the cab. Jeeps have an area of low pressure back there. I had this setup and the smell was nauseating especially without the cat.
And if Mahindra did try to sell the latest generation Thar in the US, JEEP would shit bricks. You ppl should check it out. Does most of what the Wrangler does with a way better safety rating in crash tests.

The one in this video isn't good. It's peaky, with an obnoxious drone and whistle that a quality system shouldn't have. Shit like that is why people close trails to ATV traffic. Google is a thing you might want to check out. A bro dozer is an obnoxious truck used to compensate for a small penis. None of my trucks have been bro dozers. 1) I own a tree farm so they actually get used and dirty. 2) their appearance is left stock other than upgrading the backup lights.
You do realize a youtube video recorded on someone's phone does not accurately represent the sound of an exhaust, don't you? Not to mention that if you were even a minor automotive enthusiast, you could weld in a new muffler inexpensively.
There are a few states that allow you to register these for on road use when the come equipped with a few of the add on features shown here like turn signals and side mirrors. Baby steps until we can get stick it to fiat.
