Brilliant mate 👏 I did a woodland camp on Friday night in the East riding of Yorkshire My attempt to get wet firewood burning failed! So I was tent bound All go though I was in he helm 2 great tent I also have a Thermo rest neo air British army Arctic bag and the snug pack jungle blanket also down suit nice and toasty all night 👍

Great video, I’ve just returned from my first solo wild camp up above the cove not far at all from where you guys have just camped in the video. One thing I picked up from your Q&As was when Chris said if you have a bad experience ie tent breaks then get it repaired and go out again. My camp was amazing however I lost my car key and had to call out a mobile specialist, once I’d forked out a fortune for the new key programming I then set off home to Leeds only to break down 3 miles from home. What should have been an amazing de-stress turned out to be a terrible stressful experience so my logic from watching this video is get the car repaired, it’s only money, and get back out to the same place to do it again hopefully this time with no hick-ups. Basically you guys just inspired me not to give up on wild camping after my first attempt

I do subscribe to MCM Outdoors. I love the questions and answers as I feel like I get to know you all better. In winter in Northern Ontario winter camping is not possible for me, but I dream about warmer weather kayak trips. Maybe this year I will make it happen. If my body and mind will let me.

Loving all your videos I’ve watched. Just picked up a lighter tent today a Vango F10 helium for £60 quid used once and a little over a kg. Makes up for the photography gear I’ve bought. Have a Thermarest neo extherm. Can fit everything comfortably now into my Osprey Stratos 36. Can’t wait to get out again 👍🏻

I did buy some kit last year and the first thing I did was spend a night in the garden so I'm glad I got that one right. I got stuff so I could go bike packing so I then did 1 night wild camp local to home, then a 2 day ride 1 night wild camp in the Peak District and finally a 3 day ride 2 night wild camp in the Cairngorms. All went reasonably well thankfully! I'm just itching to get out again now! Keep up the brilliant content 👏👍 #no1youtuber 😀

Loch Sligachan camp site, Skye August storm. Family frame tent 150ft in the air explodes and never seen against. The only tent that stood up to it was a Blacks Geodesic . Night in the car and new tent buying in Nevis Sport in FW.
The trick is, even if yer Scottish or whatever, you can be understood by the rest of us. English speakers. Give Blue a hug. We would find rabbit bones in the yard when the dog had had enough. Big dogs.

I’ve never had a down jacket but for when I’m out in the cold I do have a 12v heated vest run via a power bank, I don’t know if you have ever come across them at all I certainly recommend one as I’ve found it to be good for back pain to. Good video again and blue loving it as always
I trekked up to base camp a couple of years ago. Amazing, there’s no other words needed. There’s actually an Everest marathon which goes from base camp back to Namche Bazaar.

No problem mate. My GoPro definitely struggles at times even with the white batteries. It occasionally doesn’t save the video section. Annoying.

Fire helps but sometimes can be hard work to get started. Chopping out the dry central parts of logs usually helps. Good solid kit though mate👊

I remember seeing Gordale for the first time when I was up there as a young lad with campschool.
The whole area,the cove,tarn and the dry valley are truly outstanding areas of natural beauty.

I do subscribe to MCM Outdoors. I love the questions and answers as I feel like I get to know you all better. In winter in Northern Ontario winter camping is not possible for me, but I dream about warmer weather kayak trips. Maybe this year I will make it happen. If my body and mind will let me.

Loving all your videos I’ve watched. Just picked up a lighter tent today a Vango F10 helium for £60 quid used once and a little over a kg. Makes up for the photography gear I’ve bought. Have a Thermarest neo extherm. Can fit everything comfortably now into my Osprey Stratos 36. Can’t wait to get out again 👍🏻

Alan, I'm a very inexperienced hiker but I've already got a bucket list entry of trekking to EBC for my 50th next year. Through watching so many vlogs about the EBC trek I came across a fella who's channel is 'Fulltiltward' ... you'd love his channel if you're not already on to it, loads of amazing ultra running vlogs etc in incredibly scenic and challenging locations, right up your street mate 👍🏼

Excellent trip out there you two. That's one of my favourite places! Trying to work out where you camped in relation to the cove? It really is one of the most interesting parts of the country. I did buy some kit last year and the first thing I did was spend a night in the garden so I'm glad I got that one right. I got stuff so I could go bike packing so I then did 1 night wild camp local to home, then a 2 day ride 1 night wild camp in the Peak District and finally a 3 day ride 2 night wild camp in the Cairngorms. All went reasonably well thankfully! I'm just itching to get out again now! Keep up the brilliant content 👏👍 #no1youtuber 😀

Loch Sligachan camp site, Skye August storm. Family frame tent 150ft in the air explodes and never seen against. The only tent that stood up to it was a Blacks Geodesic . Night in the car and new tent buying in Nevis Sport in FW.

I’ve never had a down jacket but for when I’m out in the cold I do have a 12v heated vest run via a power bank, I don’t know if you have ever come across them at all I certainly recommend one as I’ve found it to be good for back pain to. Good video again and blue loving it as always
Yes heated jacket are becoming better snd better. Not sure I’ll need one though 👍
I trekked up to base camp a couple of years ago. Amazing, there’s no other words needed. There’s actually an Everest marathon which goes from base camp back to Namche Bazaar.
