- After almost 2 years, I finally decided to go back and do some of the Top 10s I did for Arc-V for all of the other shows! So, here we are, these are the top 10 duels that we wish we saw in YuGiOh 5Ds! I hope you please leave some duels you would like to see down below, and I hope you enjoy!

I think Leo would have dueled Sly to get back Stardust for Yusei
That would have been an awesome one as well especially with the shuffler throwing all the cards in the garage and sly seeing stardust lying there
I do too, and I would’ve loved it because Sly beat Rua in an off screen duel.
Or maybe Ruka could have dueled him? Lets her have more relevance, and then we could see Ancient Fairy Dragon vs Stardust Dragon

It kills me to remember the first time I watched Ruka's first duel and thinking "Interesting deck concept, I'm looking forward to the next time she duels." So much for that...

The thing is, her duels lasted at least 2 episodes and usually killed the pacing.
For being such an important character she's never participated in a 1v1 duel that she started. Her only solo win was for a duel that she took over from Leo
Hope you didn't feel that way for the Bracelet Girls in Arc-V.
Luna/Ruka lacks screentime. Her deck seems to be "unfinished".
Aki and Leo/Lua also needs more love for their decks.
Yeah I always felt Luna’s deck was very limited
The main reason for the lack of support for Luna and Leo is because their kids.
They can ride a D-Wheel, side cars aren't cool. They made those hoverboard things, but they couldn't keep up with D-Wheels and only brought up in duel.
So what was the point of them.
M F Dude Leo deck got support throughout the series but Luna was the one with very little
@@BlueBlazeKing Morphtronics were a full on archetype. With the very little we got, Luna was supposed to have some Cure-Burn deck.
@@sirkillalot9892 In the 5Ds World Championship games for the DS Luna uses a deck which is half Nurse Reficule/Simochi burn and the other half is light monsters which she used in the anime, along with Mystic Tomato and Shining Angel to search for important monsters.

I wanted to see Aki vs Divine in order for her character to have proper closure from that part of her life. Jack vs Crow is another good one. They were both in 5Ds and Arc-V and it was really shame that they never dueled, considering their constant arguments in both series.

I think with Divine he really is a projection of what Aki was on the road to becoming. A person who's psychic powers entirely identify them and has forever given up on connecting with others. A heart consumed by rage and pain. I do believe Divine has a very painful backstory of his own. Being rejected and abused which is why he cares so little about the suffering of others. After all nobody ever cared about his suffering so why should he care about those of others?
I think Aki defeating him could symbolize her forever rejecting the possibility of becoming like Divine. That she has faith in other people now and that her powers do have a place in society.
They should’ve at least done it in Arc V that would’ve been the ultimate fan service

I loved this list and i couldn't agree more. Especially with Aki vs Divine. Considering the Japanese exclusive game Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V tag force special has a What if story for Akiza who's trying to stop the Arcadia Movement from rising once again.

Whenever I play the PSP games I love having her as my tag partner! She is a sweetheart and her deck is fun to play with.
Aki vs Divine leading to a Blazing Rose/Blood Rose Dragon upgrade would have been amazing.
We could also have had an overkill moment at the end.

Jason Bornot you cant count the team speed duels. Because they only lose if all 3 members lose.
Coincidentally, some of duels on your list did happen in the manga:
Aki vs. Sherry (rivalry complex)
Yusei vs. Crow (funny how both run similar cards)
Jack vs. Kiryu (Like in the anime, Kiryu also used a card that lets him Duel with 0 LP.)
Jack vs. Rex (This is one of my favorite 5D's duels if including the manga. #5 at best)
I'm kinda confused about how the canon works. So the anime came out before the manga right? This means that the anime has it's own canon (I guess the official canon) and the manga is it's own "universe" with it's own canon. I am I correct on this?
@@ssgsaxgamer4902 From GX-onwards, yes manga is separate but "parallel" canon. I say that because 5D's manga has scenes from the anime.

About Rex Goodwin, he did have a duel before the final duel arc vs jack, yusei & crow.
It was off-camera but it happened, it was his duel against his brother: Rex vs Rudger, the duel where he revealed his motives as to why he wanted to become a god by resurrecting as a Dark Signer and stealing the Crimson Dragon's marks aswell.
Just wanted to point that out Dylan, great top 10 list!
Rex had a pretty stacked deck, too. He was shown having Mirror Force, Divine Wrath, and Solemn Judgement but threw the duel with Rudger.
@@Demonmagnos To be fair, Underground Arachnid's effect prevents Mirror Force from going off when it attacks, but I honestly don't remember if the former was on Rudger's field or not when he won...
Wouldn't it have been super dramatic if Sayer kidnapped Yusei and Akiza had to rescue him

Would have loved to see Team Satisfaction in a four way like in DM season 3 and Yusei/Akiza vs Jack/Carly in a "Couple's Duel Event".

Yeah poor Luna I mean in the beginning of the series I could understand since she didn't have her signer dragon but after that it's a shame she never duel much.
Yeah I'm really disappointed sly story never got developed I was so interested why he wanted to take stardust.
I agree with your list so many more duels I wish I could of seen man I wish 5ds was still going on.
Agree completely.. She was lowkey one of the bigger disappointments in the show, considering how much awesome potential she had with the spirit world and everything
I just realized Yusei summoned AFD almost as much as Ruka
I was so disappointed that there was no storyline with the Arcadia movement after the Dark Signars arc.
So was I. Divine would have returned with a half robotic face, in attempt to create a Neo Arcadia movement. And Misty would have returned and teamed up with Aki to ultimately stop him once and for all.
Then we have a turbo duel between him and both Yusei and Akizq where she’s the one who finishes Sayre in the duel.
Same there should have also been a secondary arc with The Earth Bound Devil and making new people into dark signers.
For me, faction fighting in YuGiOh never got better than Yuma, Shark, Tron and Faker. So many factions and somehow none of them feels like the least important like Arcadia or SOL technologies. Both Tron and Faker are threats, and that is cool to see.
Hell, a Triangle Duel between Yusei, Jack, and Crow would have been awesome x3 or a Battle Royale among Yusei, Jack, Crow, and Kiryu
it would have been so amazing to see Aki who stood by arcadia movement, helped it grow and basically was obsessed with divine, turn her back on them after choosing the right path and then bring them down with her own powers after she supported them so much. so powerful. so many feels
I think these regrets were shared by the creator as Kalin vs Jack, Jack vs Goodwin, Akiza vs Sherry happened in the Manga
Jack vs. Godwin was awesome.
I wish see Aki vs Sherry but in Speed Duel to show how Aki progress. Just like Yuzu vs Masumi she can be great rivals. But never happened.

She actually has a monster from Yusei's archetype (Chevalieur de Fleur, (it should have been "chevalieuse" as it is the female name for knight in French) aka Flower Warrior).

Remember how back in Dm we got that 4-way duel between Atem/yugi, kaiba, jonouchi and Yami marik? I would have loved to see something similar happen between the members of the enforcers.
There were literally so many mini arcs in 5ds that were missed and could have xoncluded with awesome duels
I think Rua did get his moments to shine. I especially like his duel against Devak as he was just so courageous and would never back down.

I'm glad you mentioned Aki vs Sherry because the show kinda alludes to the idea that they will have a turbo duel and it never happens
The only thing I am sad about 5Ds is that we only saw two Arcadia duelists (Divine and Aki), so I would have loved seeing them atleast duel more or include other members fighting against the Signers. But 5ds still was a great show (top 1 at the moment, Vrains may top it) and I would never want to change too much of this masterpiece
Yeah I love 5Ds as well! But I feel every show could have done things better, and any of these duels would have been more interesting to me than like Jack VS that mob boss, Crow VS the clock guy, a lot of the S3 random filler duels I wasn't a huge fan of!
Dylan would you consider doing a video: top 10 duels we want to see between characters from different shows? My no 1 would be Zane vs Reji. Great video, there was definitely wasted potential in 5ds and i would love to have seen any of the duels you mentioned over some of the season 3 duels, except Crow vs the Old Junk man, i love that duel

JCD Godot has something similar on his channel, called the "Cross Anime Tournament." Look it up -- you'd be surprised as to who wins the whole thing.

I wish we can see a Kiryu vs Lotten duel. Technically we seen one but Kiryu fueled along side with Yusei
I feel Luna vs. Sly would be more interesting then Yusei vs. Sly cuz Luna could be protecting Yusei for a change. & while I agree Aki vs. Divine would be a great duel, it would be redundant if we also got the other two matches against him.

I would have liked that they both used their psychic powers. Destroying everything around them. That Aki embraces the fact that she's a psychic and will use it's powers for the things she chooses to.
I think if they did Aki vs Divine they probably would've made Aki losing to Divine and then they would bring in Yusei dueling against Divine, possibly rescuing Aki in the process. Or you could just have both Yusei and Aki dueling against Divine, i mean it would be interesting to see the protagonist and it female lead teaming up. Because most of the Yugioh protagonists usually just team up with their Rivals or sidekicks but not with the female characters.
If any of the Yugioh season’s deserves a movie, it’s 5Ds. Have it set after the series when they are seen years later.

I fully agree that a Yusei or Akiza vs Divine/Sayer Duel should have happened, in fact that would have been a perfect opportunity to gift Akiza with the Black Rose Moonlight Dragon as a new boss monster.
My heart swelled when you mentioned Yusei vs Crow. They had so much tag team chemistry when facing off against sector security. And Crow often made Yusei smile since he was a better vibe than Jack. Seeing them face off and have some playful banter in between would have been a treat.🥺❤
I would like to see more Luna duels in general, it was hard to take her seriously as a signer when she never really dueled independently. Also I would have like a lot more Carly duels, I understand why we didn’t, but that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t have been entertaining.
Awesome vid man. with those characters you could do a top 50 or 100 duels, ik it would be insane but think the posssibilities are endless. 5Ds defently gave us some great story & duels

Also there wasn't any duel I wanted to see tbh. I thought 5ds duels satisfied me. The only thing I did want is to see that kid duel Yusei. however because they foreshadowed it. But I think compared to arc v, I think 5ds gave us a lot of duels we wanted to see.
My fav ones that were hinted at (but cut out for some reason) were yusei vs sly, yusei vs sayer, and crow vs jack would have been great to see too. Great list man! I really wish the show didn't have so much cut out, because it could have possibly been an extra year or half a year long imho.
Yeah those 3 would have been awesome! It's honestly a shame, 5Ds had a lot of untapped matchups, and instead there were a lot of random one off Season 3 duels

As much as I love Aki, I would have put Atlas vs Crow on first place without a moment´s hesitation. But then again more Aki is always very welcome.

Yugioh everything, I actually wish that we saw the 5Ds vs. Taiyo duel, I know we saw it in the sub, but I really wish we showed it in the states, that really would have showed some development

Their so many duel I wish I could have seen Divine in since he one of my favorite villian in the series and the potential he had to be a great villian but they screwed him over at the end. Out of all the possible duelist the one I wish Divine face the mos is definitely Yusei. I can kinda see while Misty and Akiza duel was going on that Yusei and Divine would duel and that how Yusei get the information about Toby.
Would have been so great.. Such a disservice what happened with Divine after the DS arc

no 1 aki wins (and then spares him dispite being able to extract karma with her own psyicic powers)
For number 4 Divine wins it sets up Akiza vs Divine maybe he cheats using his psychic powers

Yusei vs Devine really was the duel for me! When I first saw the episode in the dark signers arc I really did think we would see them duel even more so when they pulled their duel disks out! Crazy how some of these actually took place in the manga. I think Goodwin and Jack could have taken place sometime later like during Jack's training focus episodes dueling his spirit maybe as prep for team new world/ark cradle as Yusei does wish to him for luck. The sly character always was odd. Divine definitely could have dueled more
Jack and Crow got an ENTIRE extra season in Arc-V to have that duel and it still didn't happen. :(

Yugioh Everything should be noted that they are alternative counterparts of 5ds characters
I hope one day an animation team will animate a few of these duels. Seeing any duel with Divine or Leo in it would have been nice. I can't wait for the next video on this series.
I feel like Lua VS Luka should be higher. They are some of the best characters and I love how Yuhi and Yuamu in Go Rush are spiritual successors to them.
I've always felt tag duels were underrepresented, so maybe a few of those? Off the top of my head Leo/Luna vs Misty/Carly would have be fun.

Anyway, great video mate!! The duel I would *LOVE* to see in 5Ds more than any other would be Yusei and Akiza vs. Divine *(or just Akiza vs. Divine)* . It could end a mini arc to end the Arcadia Movement, give Akiza some closure with the organization and make a fresh start, being some magnificent development for her character, *AND* give her an upgraded version of Black Rose Dragon.
I’d love to have seen a Riding Duel with Aki and Enjo Mukuro/Hunter Pace. It’d be as training for the WRGP, in which Aki wants to learn more about the speed aspect and gets recommended Hunter by Yusei. Considering in ZONE’s future, it states that Yusei formed a tag team with both Aki and Hunter, it wouldn’t be that implausible. Would also maybe give her a window to maybe perform her own Accel Synchro.
I'd love to see Yusei, Misty, and Akiza take down that bastard Sayer.

Oh yeah, Crow was supposed to be a Dark Signer (not sure if story is otherwise the same tho). Not sure what to think about the latter matchup, but maybe they were supposed to have more interaction.

Some of these duels where meant to happen but since one of the voice actors was linked to a cult in a bad way they had to drop a lot of the Arcadia stuff. And crow wasn’t meant to be a signer more so a dark signer but the black wing archetype was too popular in the card game
I have to agree with the divine duels like have a small arc before the dark signers arc where yusei and the gang duel divine and his cult to free akiza or just to take divine down because he’s crazy.
What could also have happened was a Yusei and Aki go Tag team against Divine to wrap up the arc, with Aki being the one to finish off her former mentor.
Jack vs Aki could have been an awesome duel to see as well.

Yugioh 5D's is one of my favorite spin-off shows in the Yugioh TV series my only wish is the show was completed also Yusei Fudo is one of my favorite protagonist and his Junk Archetype Deck is awesome even the evolved forms of Stardust Dragon Shooting Star Dragon and the mighty Shooting Quasar Dragon
5ds is my #2 best anime its amazing
Judai vs Yusei would be a fun duel to watch.
NGL, Yusei dueling Sayer while Akiza & Misty duke it out would be very fitting. Not only that, it was the first time in 5D's we actually see Yusei PISSED OFF, so it would've made for a beautiful overkill moment if the duel ever got to happen.
Thinking back, Crow vs Yusei probably could have happened back in the Dark Signers arc. Crow could have challenged Yusei to a Duel after Jack and him have a physical confrontation to try and help snap Yusei out of his self-doubt. And you could either have Yusei pull out the win, or still be feeling down enough for Crow to beat him and that would snap him out of it.
You could make 50 duels we wished we saw! All these characters and different archetypes make for likely incredible duels we were robbed of seeing!

More duels for Divine, Aki, the twins basically. Maybe they could have alternated with Team 5Ds when it came to the WRGP arc. It didn't have to be just Yusei, Jack and Crow with Aki being a one time substitute.
10. I would love to see more depth about Luna's deck and playstyle especially for having many tuners.
9. Could have made a fun filler duel. Sly with Stardust could have faced the twins was another idea I thought og.
8. I wouldn't mind a Crow vs Kiryu duel either.
7. All the cult related drama ruined a somewhat interesting character.
6. Maybe this could have been a practice duel for the WRGP.
5. Both of these characters needed more duels. This would be a Turbo duel.
4. I think if we had an Arcadia Movement arc, Aki vs Divine would have been the finale due to the emotional significance. Crashtown proved that the main protagonist doesn't have to resolve an arc.
3. Interesting, but I have trouble thinking of a scenario.
2. Crow always leads to some fun duels. This would be no different.
1. As I just said. Maybe an Arcadia Movement arc could have Aki, Misty and Yusei face other Psychic duelists with Divine being the final boss just to avoid being repetitive.
They should have put Aki, Rua and Ruka as another team in the WRGP and they fighting first versus team new world and later be avenged by the team of Yusei
An interesting idea, but I have a few issues. I liked the WRGP arc but it was very long so having even more duels may lead to boredom. Therefore I went with Team 5Ds cycling through their six. Maybe the Team Taiyo duel could have been scrapped since it was just some good fun that didn't forward the plot that much.
Actually I just realised some issues with Luna and Leo turbo dueling. Their Ace monsters don't fit well. Power Tool is supposed to search out equip cards but there aren't any Speed Spell equips. Ancient Fairy is supposed to destroy field spells and search them but Speed World is always active. Maybe their decks could get a few modifications.
Sayer/Divine kinda reminds me of a more calculating and serious version of the Joker (without the purple costume, of course.) 😂😂Just ... the laugh and sadistic personality are great! Same with Vector!

Damn those final 2 duels i think they would've been incredible , i wish we saw kiryu more tho he is my 2nd favorite 5Ds character and it is sad when you think that he just got a mini arc and that's it , i wanted to see Kiryu vs Crow ..
1 Akiza/Aki vs Sayer/Devine
For the same reasons you said. The fact they didn’t duel in a mini arc is shocking
2 Yusei vs Jaden/Judai
Odd choice but considering Yugi and Jaden/Judai dueled I think the main protagonist vs the previous one would have been interesting for all Yugioh shows. Yeah it would have been fan service but it would have been interesting seeing Jaden react to this duel academy where the uniform is to divide the boys and girls vs how skilled they are. Vs where his duel academy uniforms divided depending on who’s better.
3 A Battle Royal Of Team 5Ds
its a shame it didn’t happen again. And honestly Team 5Ds having a Battle Royal to test out the decks before the wrgp would have been cool
4 Carly vs that coffee shop girl
Carly’s role was reduced a lot and even if it would be a filler duel it would be funny to see them duel to see who would end up with Jack. Also fun fact in the dub they were voiced by Veronica Taylor And Sarah Natochenny who both voiced Ash Ketchum in Pokémon. So it could have been what if Ash dueled Ash
4 Crow Vs Jack vs Yusei Vs Kalin. The only 4 way Battle Royal was in Duel Monsters and it only happened once. I think a duel where all 4 of them dueled like that would have been interesting
5 Leo/Rua vs Luna/Ruka
They also neeeded more screen time as time went on so a duel against each other would have been nice. Same reason like you said but that duel writes itself
6 Akiza/Aki vs Crow
Considering Crow basically took Akiza’s spot I can see a duel where Akiza feels down after loosing her power and Crow tries to tell her she doesn’t need them. You can easily replace the duel Crow had against the clock guy for this. Nothing against that duel but it was pointless. But I would want a tie to leave it up in the air who’s stronger.
7 Team New World vs well anyone else. Mainly cause I think a 3 part duel where one of the other teams in the wrgp to show off their decks in this style would have been nice
8 Lester vs Primo
They always seem to spike each other in the show so those two dueling would have been an interesting way to settle the score. Lester even has a motive considering Primo stole some of his cards to duel Yusei
9 Roman Vs Goodwin
Yeah it happened but off screen. Considering they are both the main antagonist I think the brothers dueling to show who Rex really is.
10 Leo/ Rua And Luna/Ruka vs Jack
Considering Leo wanted to duel Jack early on, I think a duel in season 3 would have been nice to see. A sort what it Leo made it to the top in the fortune cup. And Luna again could be trying to boost up Leo’s confidence and she request this duel to try and help them. And considering Luna was the one who actually gotten the invite to the fortune cup and ended up in it anyway despite her brothers disguise. It could have also been a what if Luna made it to the top.
11Trudge vs Mina
odd pick but considering he liked Mina I think this could have been a way to show how much Trudge changed compared to when he started.
12 Mina vs Jack
Odd pick but Mina also liked Jack and she didn’t duel so it would have been nice to see her prove herself to Jack
13 Trudge vs Jack. Trudge did like Mina. I can see him thinking Jack is stealing her away so he challenges him to a duel.
14 Yusei vs Sly
Like you said he wanted that Star dust dragon card so Sly could have dueled Yusei for it or used it against him
I think Yusei dueling Sly could have been interesting as a way to show Sly that you don’t need a signer dragon to win a duel. Would’ve been cool to maybe see Yusei beat over Stardust with Junk Warrior. Or defeat Stardust by using a monster that doesn’t need a destruction effect, like Junk Archer to banish it and attack directly or Turbo Warrior to halve Stardust’s attack.

I really like your video and I often agree with what you say (Aki is my favourite girl duellist so I agree it would have been so cool if she could finish Divine on a last dual... And if she dueled Sherry on a turbo duel instead of being a forgotten character on the end of the show it would have been amazing !! And a dual against the twins !! And Misty and... Well I basically agree with everything you said xD) Except for one dual which is your number 2, Crow against Jack. I think it is well better we don't see the dual because it would have been a really interresting dual that's sure, we can't really guess who would have win. And that's why I prefer how the things were. We don't know who wins this duel. And I think that's perfect for the ending because they both could have win this dual and it's to the viewer to interpret things the way he wants ! Without an answer shown on screen he can theorise about that and will not be disappointed. So I think it is better they didn't show us this dual, for the imagination of the one who watchs the show. Now I just would like to say because I don't often comment your videos that I learned a lot of things about 5D's, Zexal and GX thanks to you ! And one of the first thing I'll do once I'll see the others show will be to watch your videos about them as well, because I always learn things interresting in them, so I really think your videos are amazing !! So thank you !! (And I hope I didn't do too many english mistakes while writting this.)

in that game, the MC is apart of the Arcadia movement after being kidnapped, and you actually duel Sayer as a chapter-ending boss, now on NG+ he's a joke because (At least for me) i had every single card in the game when I did a NG+

I totally agree with all the Divine duels, but I personally would've wanted to see Jack, Crow, and Bruno take on Greiger
5ds is so underrated but for me, the best arc with great and solid characters, political and humanitarian messages. That duel between Akiza and Sayer would have been a blast, emotionally and strategically! Both using their psychic powers and in the end Sayer being defeated by his own “student”. Damn I wanna see Black Rose Dragon obliterating him!
Gonna write this before watching your list:
Crow vs Jack would have been a cool one to see. It would be a really close and a fun one. It wouldn't have to be a super serious duel. They could just argue and then settle it with a duel or something. It is my number 1 mostly because it is one duel that would be really hard to guess who would win.
Crow vs Yusei would have been fun as well.
Aki could duel pretty much any decent duelist which would have been fun. Crow, Jack, Sherry (1v1). Anyone really.
