Did Birmingham to Lincoln ourselves in 2019 - the last part from Sheffield was our one and only time on a Pacer.

@@LemoncloudGT it was a novelty for us to be on one - they didn't visit the West Midlands (our local area) much - though it was a 3 car 144 with high back seats if I recall so not the full Leyland National experience!

“If I’m not mistaken” - nick said not realising at the time that he was in fact mistaken. Upon realising his error nick badley knew that he badly messed up. He then cried for a few seconds before correcting his error and resuming with his day

A brilliant video Nick, I like the idea of Geo Guessr finding stations for you to travel between. Really enjoyed this video. :)
Perhaps you should consider adding a third geoguess station as a “via”, so for example: Warrington to Kings Cross via Bournemouth.
Well, that would mean Avanti West Coast from Warrington to Birmingham, CrossCountry from Birmingham to Bournemouth, South Western Railway from Bournemouth to London Waterloo, London Underground from London Waterloo to Warren Street and then London Underground from Warren Street to King’s Cross.
This was brilliant. Please do it again.
Cardiff to Brum is a journey I do a fair bit. The views are pretty spectacular

An idea for a journey that came to mind, a train journey on the National Rail Network that would require the most number of trains and changes to complete, That is using a recognised route that a 'normal' passenger would use, and the least number of trains to complete it, not sure what such a journey would be yet, are there any journeys that would require more than 5 trains to complete? I will have a look when time permits.

Everyone thinks 2 hours on a 170 is bad but Scotrail operate 170’s between Glasgow queen street and Inverness via Aberdeen which takes 5hr 30

@@FMP346 your videos look great, I just watched a few! but 1. your channel is much smaller than Nick's, so perhaps he hasn't seen your channel before? and 2. how do you know there wasn't an even smaller channel than yours doing this before you without you realising...
Llanhilleth is just down the road from me. I pass that station all the time. I'm surprised they put a nice train on for you - it's always a real surprise what train type they're runner each day! You could have been on a 150 if you were unlucky! But TFW are doing a lot of work to that line to increase capacity and also have brand new trains on the way, so yay!

It’s about time you could get a direct train from Ebbw Vale to Newport instead of having to go all the way to Cardiff! It might even be quicker to jump off at Pye Corner and get a bus, or even walk!
If I’d done this journey I think I’d have stayed with the XC turbostar to Nottingham and then gone via Newark Castle and Lincoln. Good video! 👍🏻
Yeah but who wants to travel on A) Cross-country and B. A TURBOSTAR for that length of time?

Be honest... how many 'goes' on GeoGuessr did you take before it came up with Llanhilleth to Gainsborough Lea Road instead of, say, St Ives to Thurso?

Have you done railway lines and railway stations in the Republic of Ireland such doing Limerick Junction to Limerick. And maybe you should do Windsor & Eton Central to Windsor & Eton Riverside via London Paddington and London Waterloo.

Good video, also Gainsborough has 2 stations Lea Road and Central so that could b an idea for a future pointless journey video Gainsborough Central to Lea Road or the other way round.
I love random train journeys and mad ideas. Me and my daughter went to every Scottish city on a day last week. 11 trains and 13.5hrs

Excellent run, though I had visions of Geoguessr handing you a brutal 14 hour "Penzance" to "Inverness" combo. I think there is a single CrossCountry that gets you most of the way without changing, but I expect you'd need buttocks made of clouds to pull it off.
That must be one of the most awkward two stations to get. East to West connections are dire.
I'm from Gainsborough, theres a painted subway there that I helped do 😂 hoping you saw it because it took days to complete

Ah. Tamworth, I actually stayed there during my trip of the UK, nice small town with close access to Drayton Manor.
Before I've watched, I'm guessing the simplest route is Llanllilleth to Cardiff, Cardiff to Nottingham, Nottingham to Gainsborough. Let's see...

Probably take 6 hours to Cardiff when the ebbw vale service is replaced by a bus there has been a lot of work going on the line with new platforms at newbridge and llanhilleth some years ago took me 15 hours risca to Inverness
