Two reasons why i hate Smart phones "even the name is so pretentious, then again Apple products are hipster aswell". But 1: No physical buttons. 2: Cant exchange battery, forcing you to buy new phones incase the phone blows up, since inbuilt battery blows up over time..

My phone died while watching this... Then I plugged it in which took 5 minutes to start up again. Then came back to this video where i left off and Steve started lookin for a place to plug in a charger. The irony had me Lmfao

had one from 2004 to 2014, no problems, still was able to charge the battery, could text people if i wanted to! now that I need canes to walk & need access to car service, had to change over to a smart phone. refuse to buy a phone that costs 1k, there are plenty of good ones out there for 150-300.

Glad there are other people out there with brains and not being a digital slave. My family and I've never had such a digital drug and never will have. No smartphone, no digistress, lesser chance of a burnout, etc... like in the 90's.

I'm 26 and I have a flip phone. Only use it in emergencies or when I'm bored on my lunch break at work. Only have to pay 99 dollars once a year on it. Sucks to text on it, but hey, that's alright. Besides, it's pretty satisfying to flip it shut after ending a call. xD

When I was in school in 2004 my first phone was a Motorola V66 flip phone. My friends and I were high up on the bleachers when my flip phone slipped and fell. I didn't want to break it because my sister was the only one who was paying for it. We all ran downstairs so fast and that phone sure enough worked. I still used it one more year later.
Likely you aren’t using the phone nearly as much so that makes it be less chance to break cuz it’s just in your pocket most of the time lol
Then people wanted actual pocket computers to listen to music, browse the internet, play better games and take a lot better quality of pictures than a flip phone could handle

I LOVE Steve Harvey. I wished I could download every episode of all of his tv shows. I love how generous and loving he is. How he is blunt and speaks his mind. I wished I could just meet him one time and let him know he is one in a million. His family is so lucky to have him apart of their lives.

I'm 37 and I still have a flip phone lol. I have never had an android phone or an iphone or a smart phone. I never wanted one. I see all my friends and students addicted to their phones and I don't want that for myself. AND it has dropped multiple times and it hasn't cracked or stopped working yet. Yeah!

DAMN right 😂 it's now the situation where people is mostly looking the charger place! Everywhere!!! I was born in 80's n mostly my childhood, 'teenage session', r spent in 90's so hahahahaha am still into flip phone, I have my Samsung GT - E1195 (sorry if am wrong in telling it) for my 'real'phone calls n messages since its battery stays longer than my 'modern phones' (am just following others for social media stuff) but am still into old habits 🙊

Yes the flipphones and the keyboard phones for avid texters, those phones were basic too! I have a smartphone and a keyboard phone as backup. I also have a flip phone as backup backup lol.
I think it’s a good thing texting tool all day because before social media and smartphones we use to actually talk to people.

Miss that time when I was young before the smart phone while ppl could talk to each other face to face. This smart phones is the curse of this era.
Just got a Samsung Convoy 4 on PagePlus Cellular and the thing is built for ip68 specifications. In between gaming research, for videos, and walks down memory lane; smart phones are not built for computer or tablet longevity.

I’m 27 and have a flip phone. It’s cheaper. It does everything I need it to do. I don’t spend money on apps or accessories. Google and government can’t track me as easily. It’s durable/dependable. People do make fun of me but I think it makes me unique. Yes texting does suck which means u only send txts that need to be sent

P.S.: we were recently visiting another city on vacation. We stopped at one of our favorite places to relax and have a beer outside. There was a young couple that we were observing at another table. They were both totally engrossed with their phones. From what we observed, one was watching videos while the other was checking Facebook, Twitter, or whatever. After watching this for about 15 minutes, one of them looked over at the other and said it was time to go home. They both got up, clicked off "whatever" on their cell phones, walked away, got into a car and drove off. Is that what today's society has become? Not exactly our idea of a date night!

Also: if not for the fact that you cannot find pay phones anywhere I wouldn’t even have a cell phone, just a good rotary on the kitchen wall with a 20 foot cord.
I'm experienceing the same thing with my Snapfon extwo 3G. Great ringtone, great call quality, Carrier FreeUp, an mvno that uses the AT&T network. Thinking of going with Consumer Cellular. They have two 4G flip phones. I'd likely choose the Doro. Reasonable plans. They'll send you include an AT&T SIM card if you ask.
What about those flip phones where you flip the screen sideways to gain access to the keyboard?

There are inexpensive smartphones and expensive flip phones.
My smartphone cost me $25. The only "accessory" I got was a case, for $6.
My battery lasts for days. Because I don't use it as a home entertainment system. It's not the phone it's what you do with it.

Loved my Samsung flip phone loved it even better when I learned how to set it to T9 hahha so thinking of going back. I want to be more present in my kids loves but always on that damn phone. Might get a cheap one at Walmart and see how long I can last with it again. Honestly don't think it will be too heard I hated switching to a phone without a physical key board but when i was younger everyone wanted one haha.

You can leave a flip phone turned on for 2 to 3 days if it's fully charged
well i'm 23 years old and i have an android phone and i use it for calling and texting only and my phones battery lasts all day long on it and i use it get to a hold my freinds and family so i don't need to charge my phone all i only charge it when it is below 50% or 20% one of the two and my phone has Unlimted calling and texting i can always try to talk to people on the phone two or three days with out charging it and if my phone reaches 50% or 20% i can always recharge it and i sometimes use to take pictures and take videos with it and Post the pictures and videos on facebook from my computer that i took from my phone and i transfer them from my phone and to my computer so they can be saved in my computer's files.

Oh i'm pretty sure they'll bring back the flip phones, but they'll be touch screens and you'll still need all the accessories in the world for it. Give it 3-5 years from now.
