Just wanted to share this video was the final push I needed to make the switch. Been on the fence about this for two weeks. Ordered my basic phone today. Got a 2 year old and I really connected with your message. Thanks!!
Congratulations!! I am a year in and no regrets! I do have to remind myself that the "convenience" of the smartphone is just not worth it. You got this!! Your two year old is the most precious thing, they deserve your full attention!
Me and my wife cut out social media years ago and have never looked back since. Lowered our stress and privacy concerns and the only people we care about can reach us on our phones. Getting a flip phone for me would be helpful, even without social media a smartphone is a huge distraction at work.
I am doing the same thing! I am 18 years old and done with smart phones. I think that social media has ruined our society and I wanted to change my ways.
Gosh yes at 18 I had just gotten a flip phone, I can't imagine how I would have felt having social media like it is today back then. I would have been so stressed! Well I hope your journey goes smoothly 🙂 I think more and more young people feel this way. You got this!!
Not much on apps... Alarm, calculator, weather, Bible, news, camera, that’s about it. I use search throughout the day. Texting is a little frustrating, I don’t like that it’s become a primary form of communication for most people. Things can get lost in translation. When all we had were landlines, we had to talk. People are losing their communication skills because of texting and posting online. Humans need face to face conversations. I like what you’re doing. You recognize an issue, then you take the necessary steps to fix it. That’s awesome!
Love my Kyocera flip phone, I've been using it for the last 9 years. If I need internet access my wife has a smartphone. For me the flip phone is far more durable in my work environment. Going tomorrow to upgrade to the newest Kyocera model flip phone.
My Kyocera DuraXV has good battery life imo. I usually charge it every other day, but the battery is usually only at half. I've not charged it for a few days before and it lasted. I don't think it's the best of the flip phone world but it's decent!
I started down this path about a year and 3 months ago. First I had a newer revamp of the old Nokia phone, and it was a great change. People have been flabbergasted by my choice of phone for sometime now. I just embrace it. Recently I switched to the Kyocera, and It's been better than the Nokia. I was actually finding that Tetris on the Nokia was a huge problem for me in certain situations. This phone has been a much better experience. Keep up the path you're on-you'll find ways around the problems you have with switching to a dumb phone. The reality is that humans, when given a challenge, become more creative to solve such problems. You'll be fine. You did the right thing in my opinion. Of course, I'm biased, but I think that a phone like this is a good thing to have. It's a tool, not an addiction.
I want to make the jump myself. I am a total phone addict, and I don't think it's doing good things for me. Sharing your experience is so helpful. Thank you!
@@CaptainAiryca Thank you. It feels like I've lost 10 years of my life to this damn thing. 🤦🏼♂️ The world really needs a Smartphone Addicts Anonymous. “First, we admitted that we had no power over our cell phones…”
One of the real-life examples I've never forgotten of how new technology can separate us FROM the real life around us -- was just a few years ago at a live baseball game at a stadium. I was sitting in a section with a good view of the field-- and two guys sitting in the row in front of me watched the ENTIRE GAME... from a podcast on their smartphones!! :) :) I doubt they actually glanced at the real game in front of them more than twice!! :) You've made a wonderful statement in this video about gaining more control and clarity about what's important in life... for yourself and your children. Well done!
Go Girl! If we can remember that the smartphone is a tool, we can keep from getting so addicted. It is definitely refreshing to walk away from the phone for a while. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and prospective! Good luck with your endeavor...
Always been a fan of the "Flip Phone." Just bought this one, today... So far, I am loving it...! I work outside all day and a Smartphone would never survive .... This one will serve my needs....
I'm glad there is still flip phones. I just switched carriers and I'm thinking of doing this. My old carrier if I couldn't download the carrier app I couldn't use the phone on their network. Back to old reliable Verizon and looking at flips phones. Now I have to make sure it's a VOLTE or 4G LTE phone since they are shutting down 3G. Which sucks I wanna use my old favorite phone
It is sucky that there aren't more options. Verizon has a couple options that will be 4g though, I hope you get what you need. I miss keyboard flip phones!!
@@CaptainAiryca Just wanted to say I switched over to this phone a few days ago and turns out my smart phone really was ruining my life. I'm definitely not going back to a phone beeping all day and distracting me with social media stuff. Just thought you'd like to know you made one person's life a lot better, thanks! 😍
Speaking of Amazon in 3 weeks from now will be a year since I made a purchase on Amazon, I was a hardcore 10 year Amazon customer, July of this year is when I deleted all social media accounts, the most challenging is friends and family is still utilizing social media platforms, I’m looking forward to using a dumb phone, thanks for encouraging others with your journey!
Glad you made the switch! I don't know what it's like to have a smartphone (I never had one), but I do know from personal experience that Kyocera duraxv phones are unbreakable and have immortal battery lives.
A good substitute for Facebook is scrap booking. purposefully fill a book with physical pictures and memories. If the power goes out.. facebook is done. The scrapbook will remain.
No, I exported my contacts as a .vcf file, plugged my phone into my computer to put the file on my phone and opened it on my phone to import everything. Manual input would take a long time!!
Insipid marketing, news that is intentionally framed in ways to get people riled up, clickbait titles, etc. People get sad and have down days. That's normal. The emotional rollercoaster that our media consumption is creating is not. Congratulations! I hope that you are able to continue to find a way to make this work in the modern world!
I just ordered one of these as my Casio G'Zone 3G flip phone will be useless in the near future. That thing a very similar ruggedized phone to this, I've had it as a 2nd phone for 12 years and the only issue was I had to put a battery in it about 5 years ago. Hope this phone will even approach that one.
I've been happy with the battery so far! (1 year) I charge it every other day when the battery goes to half, but it'll last longer easily. Just depends on how much you call people I guess
Gonna do the kyocera switch with verizon to get rid of my smartphone! I’m trying to relearn maths so focus is important! I still have a desktop and ipad for other stuff but I don’t use them much.
This is all I had back in 2003. We had these and Nextel with the walky talkie feature that didn’t use your minutes. I was 23 in 2003, good times Checking devices is an actual addiction disorder btw. We have a problem
I had the exact same flip phone you have in this video and ended up giving it to my brother to go back to a smart phone. I regret it. I'm hooked again and the ads are doing some serious stalking. I plan to go back to a flip phone permanently and get rid of my Google account for a more secure browser instead
I use my desk top computer loaded with Linux 21 for social media as I use my XP5700 Rugged phone for a regular phone use along with a flip phone. No distractions while driving and I have a reprieve from social media.
I have been back on a flip for 4 plus years and love it. I have the kyocera version just below yours. I made the switch and don't miss the hustle and bustle of the old smart phone. I have a friend that calls me jitter bug and I love it! I'm currently looking to switch from verizon and keep my flip. It is not showing to be an easy task. I like the ruggedness of these devices, but the corporate cost of the plan is ridiculous for the basic use of it.
Ha ha, I just activated my new red Jitterbug flip phone with no internet browser at all! I needed something that I could not access TH-cam on, the most addictive App on my smartphone. I probably would find a way to at least listen to TH-cam podcasts on a Kyocera. Too bad it looks a really durable phone.
Yes, the Kyocera can technically play TH-cam in it's browser but it's really annoying to use. I never do it even though I did enjoy it on my smartphone before. I use my computer for TH-cam now.
@@CaptainAiryca Thanks, I will keep that in mind if this becomes permanent which it might. I did a smartphone detox 5 years ago until my flip phone broke after only 6 weeks. I thought I was cured and was too cheap to buy another one. I wish back then I had gone out and bought a rugged flip phone like yours instead. My old habits gradually set back in.
The only downfall that they need to fix on flip phones is when texting, you gotta hit the one button to scroll to the letter you want. Unless they already fixed that. I deactivate my facebook and just barely got back on but I will do that frequently and recently stayed off for at least 3 months and don't miss it but only want to stay connected to friends is all. I hope Cameron is doing good these days. Also, a smartphone still can call 911 no matter if you have cell service or not. In case people don't know that. The cell companies don't like to share that.
Predictive text has solved the t9 texting issues. I can go pretty quick once I got in a groove with it! Deactivating social media is a good exercise for sure. Cameron is okay, he is definitely struggling with his health but we do our best. :)
Seeing a lot of these types of videos. Its funny, as I never "upgraded" to a smart phone, but I hate how flip phones are so big now. My old one (that sadly broke) was half that size,...it was awsome!
@@SNOWQueen87-v1g I wish this phone was available in a bright color. When I lay it down somewhere ("now where did I lay my phone?") the black is kind of hard to spot.
Good on ya, Airyca. I just ended up burying all those evil apps in folders so by the time I choose to pull one up, I've had that extra 2 sec. to remind myself of said evil. Then it's back in the pocket till the next dopamine drought. Cheers!
Negatives: A nice advertised feature is the Navigation key has 4-way programmable functionality. Unfortunately, the phone keypad’s Navigation and Enter keys are not sized for manly sized thumb or finger tips, as you can’t push one without accidentally hitting the other, and neither has tactical or “click” feedback. The Android OS is not intuitive and has so many extraneous steps just to accomplish simple tasks such as entering Contacts or Calendar events to the point of frustration. Okay-okay? No tool for Measurement Unit Conversion. I think the FM radio is as useless feature as you imagine. You can only listen to FM while using corded headphones, not a bluetooth ear piece, as the headphone cord is the radio antenna. lol
Thank you for the extra info! I personally haven't had any issues with the programmable buttons but what you said might be important to someone. I don't mind the OS but agree it's clunky if you're not previously an android user. And I don't regularly use the FM radio but I learned that it only works with the corded headphones. So I carry some just in case I need the radio in an emergency.
Do you remember the Razr flip phone? When I was like 13/14 all the rich kids had them lol. I didn't even get a flip phone until I was like 15 or 16 and even then I felt like I didn't really need it.
Oh man I always thought those were SO rad! But I didn't get one, I paid for my own phone at 17. It was an LG flip phone, very durable. Not very "cool" but I used the heck out of it.
Note on GPS, a lot of things with browser based alternatives will work on this phone's browser albeit not as efficiently/smoothly as their app based counterparts. I didn't even use GPS much when I did have a smartphone so I haven't tried G Maps on the browser, but it would probably work in a pinch.
Yes! I have done a test where I can, in a pinch get directions from the browser. Funnily enough, I've never been in a pinch enough to need it. I think if I were traveling a lot, I would totally purchase an external GPS unit. The browser is a nice backup - it's funny I thought I'd be using it all the time to look stuff up just in case, but I literally have done that once in the over year and a half now that I've had the phone. I just do it at home on my computer!
How about a demonstration of how exactly it texts? Finding there's a big variation of texting quality between phones so that would have been helpful. Thanks!
I haven't been able to make a video in a good long while, but I would say this is a better texting phone if you use the predictive text. (it's call XT9 WORD in the phone) It's still t9 but I'm just as fast with it, I have found it useful to add names/specific silly words that I like to the "my words" option so it comes up in predictive text. The part that sucks is the interface is annoying because you have to go into and open every text to count it as "read" it threads everything but you still have to open the text individually. It's weird. It also has a very limited selection of emojis, but you can receive any emoji and still see it.
That is an unfinished blade a friend sent me that was started gosh, 10 years ago now I think! I have been kinda pondering giving it away on this channel!
Sounds Great! What point & shoot camera are you using? Did you have to change your cellular plan? Curious if flip phone cost as as much monthly as a smart phone -
My phone plan is cheaper - I did have to change it, I'm on Verizon and they have a basic phone plan and a smartphone plan that are different, I couldn't just swap SIM card without calling them to do it. I use a Canon G7X Mark II camera for my point and shoot. There are loads of cheaper basic phone plans depending on your carrier options, I am on a family plan so I stuck with verizon.
Thnx for the update. As someone who's tech illiterate. I really only use my smartphone for Google, YT, calls and texts. Oh and the calculator! I'm glad things are working out for you and you're on your way to "tech-covery" lol Best to you and your family 💕
I’m getting a dumb phone soon. I usually leave my phone at home and go a day or two without checking it. My iPad however, I have TH-cam on it and spend too much time there
I have two smartphones with amazing cameras, yet I've only used them a handful of times!! I'd love to see a "dumb phone revolution"!!! I even tried to get service on my amazing and loved, original Motorola RAZR...but 3g is no longer available!! Needless to say, I was crushed!! But this phone has gotten my interest!
I like a good flip phone as well. I got to have a smartphone for work though, got to have that email, zoom, Google maps, etc. But I have all my notifications turned off, except one email account and 4 people. Other than that nothing pops up or dings unless it's important.
I congratulate you and salute you ...I am about to do the same ... I turned my phone off at one point for two full days and it was the best feeling ever ... I started seeing nature .. trees .. things .. my kids and others .. peace of mind.
Terry I just realized I had a bunch of unanswered comments! So I apologize for not answering but my point and shoot camera that I shot this on is the Canon G7X Mark II. I also shoot some of my videos on my main camera which is a Panasonic GH3. But I don't carry that one around, the Mark II is my on the go camera.

to curb the social ediction you could buy a cat s22 flip. also the fact the device is made in japan is amazing. they literally make all the best stuff over there no matter what it is.
@@CaptainAiryca I understand that. The reason I took the cat is I liked the access to online banking. I only wanted to get rid of social media on the phone and keep the stuff I need. But if you wanna scrap everything then any flip phone will do. Just make sure it’s at least 4g as 3G won’t be round for much longer
I don't know. Sorry for the delayed reply! It seems to run andriod apks fine but needs a mouse app. You can get a lot of help with those things from the dumbphones sub reddit.
I use a Canon point and shoot camera. Then I put the pictures on my computer and do what I need to from there. If it needs to be done on the go, the camera on the flip phone is totally fine for a picture, as long as you're not concerned with posting it to Instagram or something.
Great video! You touched on topics I don't think much about, like how apps program you (sorry, I forgot how you put it). I don't do apps. I have a simple flip p hone, so I never got into apps. Just wondering, do you have a land line? Do you know what one is? They are very useful too, in case you lose your flip phone. I want to do a video on this, too. I hope I do as good a job as you did in this one :)
Thank you! You are smart to have a flip phone. I am old enough to know what a land line is. LOL. A lot if landline services aren't actually landlines bit go thru internet and so it seems pointless to me because the phone will go out if the internet is out. But I think a true landline isn't bad!
@@CaptainAiryca Ok. I'm still looking into this. I think AT&T, a phone company here in the US, does provide land line service that goes underground in my area, so that in case you lose electricity, your land line still works. I'm considering getting that kind of land line again. Are you in the US?
@@brynne77 Yes, I'm in Oregon. I haven't researched land lines much, but if I were more rural I certainly would. We loved our land line when the power would go out as a kid.
Next time you post a review, let's go over the interesting things on the wall behind you. A wooden soup spoon, civil war sword, a hatchet, etc..Are their stories behind those items? And I agree with your "take" on flip phones. As I type I am watching the mailbox for a new one I have on order. when I closed my business 18 years ago I needed to get rid of my landline because I was getting calls at 3:00 AM from people selling shop supplies. At that time my wife headed out on a 20 mile trip each to work on country roads. Having good towing insurance does no good if you are unable to call from a snow covered ditch. 18 years later I would not be without my flip phone. At my age it is security. Any device that is sophisticated enough to overwhelm the operator is worthless as are smartphones.
Your last sentence is key! I believe these devices are designed to overhwhelm us in a subtle way, it's so sneaky. I'm still carrying my flip phone and it's great. And I never thought about a video about my background, but there are loads of stories hanging on the wall that's for sure!
I am not sure, it should be able to do that. If you post here: forum.dumbphones.org/ or here: www.reddit.com/r/dumbphones/ those communities are usually quite helpful.
It is a hard switch, but I would assess if you need those things on the go. It really depends on your job and lifestyle, but for me personally, email and banking at home only has been fine. I check balances before I shop - but I don't shop much haha. For maps, you can get a car GPS or consider a flip phone with GPS options like the Sunbeam F1 phones. I get along fine without GPS most of the time, I really remember street names and directions way better now that I don't use GPS every day. But I do use it for long trips - I just hotspot my old smartphone to use the GPS. but again, I only go on long trips once or twice a year so that's no biggie, it really depends.
I’ve been eyeing the idea of using a flip phone or a KaiOS based phone for some time now; I’m torn between this phone or using the new Nokia 6300 4G. I’m getting closer and closer to switching. Some smartphone features are available on the newer Nokia feature phones and I like having some options but I definitely want to minimize my distractions. Pictures are a major set back for me but I would just use my smartphone to snap pictures and then upload them later or just get a point and shoot camera with uploading capabilities so I can leave my smartphone behind a bit.
Based on my experience if you can leave the smartphone behind it will be more successful!! But even so I recommend trying it out! If you can get a point and shoot that keeps the smartphone away from your pocket
@@CaptainAiryca Thank you for your response. I definitely am considering doing this even if it’s a detox from time to time thing at first; I miss reliving life how I did when I was a teenager and smartphones weren’t such a strong hold on us. It’s great to see they are still making these kind of phones and they are still seeing their is a market for them. I only hope they get better over time.
@@bmloveofficial yes! I am glad I am old enough to remember life pre smartphone. Simpler times! Haha! I don't know if feature phones will ever be good. There isn't money to be made from advertising that way. Heaven forbid they make a phone with really good tools and nothing else! Lol
@@CaptainAiryca One could dream; I know they have come further in recent years than they did back when I was growing up. Every time I watch a video about these kind of phones; I remember all the ones I used to use; the Nokia 5100; Nokia 2160 and the Nokia 1100 too… they will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️ I’m just ready for a movement back into simple phones… they are so feature rich that they forget to be phones…. That’s the main function and these “dumber” phones remind us that we’ve grown away from that… I think the one caveat to take away is that these phones have incredible battery life compared to everything now; all the more reason to switch 😄
Dropping Amazon was pretty painless for me. I kept my account in case something important comes up but deleted my credit card. Haven't gone back. Amazon doesn't miss me, I don't get emails asking me to return or anything. Dropping Prime was harder with the nag nag nag.
Seriously considering this phone. I miss flips and am sick of paying for smart phones with a bunch of crap I don't need installed on it. So my question is, can I get my contacts and pictures from my galaxy to this phone?
I used Google contacts and exported a .vcf file. Then I emailed it to the email I have set up on the flip phone. I do not have my main email connected, just one only I know so I can send myself stuff. I don't want to do email on my flip phone in general. Anyway, I opened the file and it imported all my contacts in one go. Super easy. :)
As far as pictures go, I don't recommend using this phone for photos very much. The screen doesn't do them justice. I manage my photos on my computer and a little bit on my smartphone that I use as a tablet.
I think most carriers are getting rid of, or have gotten rid of 3G. The phone I chose is 4G. So I'm good for now. Honestly, if they force everyone to go 5G at some point - I'll get a landline.
The only social media I ever use is facebook on my tablet when I am curious what my friends and family are up to. my phone is a nokia 225 4g and I do not recommend it because of how broken the software is! (they are slowly fixing some of the issues) I am going to purchase a somin xp3plus (xp3900) because of how durable the phone is and it although is extremely expensive compared to others, it really can't be beat!
It does seem like the phones in the $200 dollar range is a lot for a flip phone but they work so much better. I am SO happy with my $240 Kyocera - I've dropped it a lot and washed it with soap and water.... still works fine!
I know exactly wht you mean about having the dumb phone vs the smartphone. I still have my smartphone and a dumbphone as backup. I may get rid of my smartphone altogether because I have toxic relatives who keep hacking into it remotely😠. And can't get over seeing an innocent-looking woman in pigtails with a sword, butcher knife and axe in the background. I promise I'm not judging! I just find it kinda funny🤗😂
No, however I have tested going to maps in the browser and it can get directions! It's a pain to use the browser though so I never use it. It's fine, I am getting so much better at knowing where I am!
I hate to be like and only lady and say "the good old days" were better, but I think there are a lot of pros to the 90s/early 2000s tech! It was just a bit easier to enjoy them without totally losing touch with reality.
@@burntsky64 I don't blame you. If you're really looking to have maps, there is a way you can install some things via something called F Droid. I honestly am not that techy but i think you can do it that way. The browser on this phone is also quite good, I can pull up Google maps on it but I haven't attempted navigation. You certainly could find directions somewhere if you were patient.
With my old flip phone , in order to text the word "so", I have to tap the "7" key four times and then the "6" key three times. Predictive texting? Half the time I don't even know what I'm going to say, so I can't imagine the phone would know. I want a phone only for calls and texts. I've never used an app. My plan is to get an inexpensive smart phone and to uninstall every single app that comes with it without even trying them out. Hopefully it will then just be a fancy-looking dumb phone that is a lot easier to text with than a flip phone. I hope to die app-less. Am I being unrealistic?
You aren't being unrealistic, how privacy oriented are you? I recommend a "degoogled" phone or one with an open source android os. Something without all the secret spying stuff. But if you're just trying to decrease use, lots of people find success with just uninstalling everything. It just depends on you! I find it too easy to reinstall stuff to have a smartphone.

Well done!
Mountain biking looks so fun!
Go Girl! If we can remember that the smartphone is a tool, we can keep from getting so addicted. It is definitely refreshing to walk away from the phone for a while. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and prospective! Good luck with your endeavor...
Thank you and you're right. The tool aspect of the phone is so great, the slot machine addictive nature of the unnecessary apps are not!
I have gone back to a flip phone and a small MP3 player. I feel like I did back in the 90's and early 2000's, FREE!
Congratulations on your freedom!!
Always been a fan of the "Flip Phone." Just bought this one, today... So far, I am loving it...! I work outside all day and a Smartphone would never survive .... This one will serve my needs....
We should go back to pagers and just using landlines. We will be saving countless people from brain cancer
Great idea
eh, most car wrecks would go down, see A LOT of distracted by the phone drivers involved in accidents.
That would be a good idea if there are more payphones in public, if you need to contact someone on the go
I'm glad there is still flip phones.

Nice job!! We have stopped our prime, and I make just a few purchases there. Working on finding alternatives. Baby steps haha
I have the same flip phone, and it has at&t. It's super durable, reliable, and easy to use
Glad you made the switch! I don't know what it's like to have a smartphone (I never had one), but I do know from personal experience that Kyocera duraxv phones are unbreakable and have immortal battery lives.
Yes! I love the indestructability so much!
A good substitute for Facebook is scrap booking. purposefully fill a book with physical pictures and memories. If the power goes out.. facebook is done. The scrapbook will remain.
I had thought about this. Loosing my contacts and manually inputting them into the flip phone is an issue. Is that what you did?
No, I exported my contacts as a .vcf file, plugged my phone into my computer to put the file on my phone and opened it on my phone to import everything. Manual input would take a long time!!
Insipid marketing, news that is intentionally framed in ways to get people riled up, clickbait titles, etc. People get sad and have down days. That's normal. The emotional rollercoaster that our media consumption is creating is not. Congratulations! I hope that you are able to continue to find a way to make this work in the modern world!
Thank you! Maybe if people are curious in a year or something I can update again. I am determined to make it work forever!
@@CaptainAiryca we would like an update

I was 23 in 2003, good times
Checking devices is an actual addiction disorder btw. We have a problem
It is a disorder.
@@MrVayolence why don't you just not use it?
I had the exact same flip phone you have in this video and ended up giving it to my brother to go back to a smart phone. I regret it. I'm hooked again and the ads are doing some serious stalking. I plan to go back to a flip phone permanently and get rid of my Google account for a more secure browser instead
You can do it!! Your privacy and sanity is worth it.
Hi there! are you still using your phone? I saw your review its awesome and I think I'm going to change

Wait, first off what is that big beautiful chopper blade behind you next to the hatchet??? Me likey

What do you use for camera? Like if you need to take a picture of a document or something like that? Or if you need to email a pic?

I am struggling with forwarding an existing text message with attachments to another e-mail address? Help
I am not sure, it should be able to do that. If you post here: forum.dumbphones.org/ or here: www.reddit.com/r/dumbphones/ those communities are usually quite helpful.
Is this phone unlocked??
I’m having a hard time making the switch because of my banking, email, and google map needs
@@CaptainAiryca I’ll do that, I feel more tempted now after trying it and rethinking it! Thank ya!
That’s the main function and these “dumber” phones remind us that we’ve grown away from that… I think the one caveat to take away is that these phones have incredible battery life compared to everything now; all the more reason to switch 😄

I bought it on Amazon, there is a link in the description! It's not a cheap flip phone but I have been very happy with it!
@@CaptainAiryca ok thanks so much :)
I hear they may discontinue these flip phones. I don't know how true that is but... something to do with the 3G of 5G. Not sure
How does the group texting work? Is it all within one thread?
It is! You have to turn it on in the menu, but it works just like a smartphone would do it.

@@CaptainAiryca I recently loaded q4os linux on my laptop and I even bought a physical gps unit because I am not happy with google maps, they actually sent me somewhere 4 miles off, so really I rather put my faith on a real gps device
@@vatolocooperations6111 nice, you're ahead of me, I need to get the physical GPS still. But I don't use one much so it's okay. I have maps for backup and I can just call someone to ask for directions if I'm lost in town.
I have a dumb phone too. It's best.
You know what annoys me, I have a Light Phone 2 (Dumb Phone) I go into my iPhone for something like email or something non-social media purpose, and then I get distracted on something else. I am not much for social media anyway, I never understood them. I mean I loooooved MySpace but I think it's cause there was always something to do on it. But after the fall of it all that facebook crap is for the birds, IG is over rated. Like I said, I don't get it. BUT YOUTUUUUUUUBE!!! I really need to figure this crap out. and stay way!
I only watch TH-cam on a desktop PC! Due to the nature of having kids and stuff it means I don't get to binge watch much, I just watcha couple specific things I'm subscribed to and move on. Pretty much for me personally, if I am doing things on a computer/device that doesn't fit in my pocket, I just don't get sucked in like I do on a small screen!
I use to love the flip phones ❤️
Its called behavioral modification. Read Jaron Laniers: Delete Your Social Media Accounts Right Now. Its very easy to train people without them knowing.
I'm about to order Nokia flip phone today. I'm completely tired of smartphone.
You got this!!
