And your NPC says. "Let me entertain you". Was fun to watch too. My NPC is 40% deadly at the moment. I'll let her have a baptism of fire as soon as she makes elite.
This was really fun :) Look at how he's handling your ship, may be better than even us players :)))))) I mean yes, we can fly skilfully with training, but she's doing it with her eyes closed :)) The maneuvers. I see you use lasers only? :) Interesting build o7
@@bikemessenger7 The Corvette is a very capable ship and more maneuvrable than even some medium ships, just be sure to learn to use that huge drift in your advantage :) Also, NPC's love reverski, boost with pressing lateral thrusters and flight assist off to make the NPC get sideways, it will be confused and try reverski again, but you will open all weapons fire with targeting the powerplant then :) He goes boom :D
Yeah when you get an AI crewmember to Elite, they do fly better than you do. Well... better than I do anyway. I put her in my Crusader once in an Assassination mission against a Deadly Corvette, and never once got the "Warning: Ship Under Attack". Meaning she didn't even get hit before she killed it. If you don't use an AI crewmember, I would highly suggest you start leveling one up. If you get one at Harmless and train them up, they only take 10% crew share at Elite (rather than 20% if you just take one at Expert rank from the crew lounge) As for that build, it's not only lasers. It's my healing Corvette. It's... mostly lasers, haha. The two class 1s on the front are multicannon turrets for applying corrosive and emissive debuffs, to make her still somewhat useful in combat. But all the other weapons are healing lasers for use in wings. :)
What kind of build you got on that vette? Looks like she did well. I'd do lasers but i need the engineer for powerplant and distributors and well... lasers to make it effective but it would be awesome to do I feel. I imagine you run efficient on the beams right? I was thinking of doing efficient on the beams and rapid fire for the pulses, or doing all pulses with inertial impact and rapid fire since it isnt as much power draw overall for the same damage output at grade 5
@@Kaethena If you dont mind me saying, I would say that it would be best to go with standard 7A shields. Your recharge time is already at 15 on bi-weaves. Might as well get the extra 800 absolute shielding and go with the 7As when you get a chance. Can still do thermal resist and low draw and be able to work out that .5% overload in power management. Make it that little bit tougher since those shields arent really gonna recharge in the field as they are right now anyway. Just my two cents.
@@Kaethena On another note, I think I might look into those guardian shield reinforcements. They seem like they could be pretty useful particularly on ships with the power headroom like my krait. :P
@@wruenvadam That figure is misleading. It shows 15 minutes because I have the pips set with only one in the SYS part of the distributor. Coriolis bases its calculation on how much charge you have in SYS and how fast it will drain. If I put 4 pips in SYS (which I often do during downtime), the recharge rate from 50% drops to 6 minutes. That's 3x faster than using a standard class A generator, and 6x faster than a Prismatic one. As for the shield reinforcement, I find it invaluable. Especially on ships with low base shields such as the Type-10 and the three Medium Alliance ships. Since it offers a absolute boost in health rather than a percentage based one.
Good point. I'll remember to do that next time. Although I did check the shields on the role panel a couple of times, to make sure Darling wasn't getting my Corvette too beat up. :)

Go for it. It's kinda fun watching your overengineered mothership kick ass without you having to do anything, lol. :D
Awesome work by your pilot. Maybe you should do the same thing in the next CZ for the whole time and see how she does. Thanks for the video :)
You know if I thought I could avoid getting splatted in the SLF, I would do that. I might try it, thanks for the idea!

that was my thought as well, that NPC flies better than I do! I need to practice my FAO combat.

I try to be. I like supporting other people. If there was a Healer class in ED, I would be it, haha. :)

I put the build in the description. It wasn't primarily designed for combat, with more of a healing focus, but she can hold her own in a fight. :)

Just out of curiosity what is your Corvette engineered because if so then it wasn’t exactly a fair fight
No that's a fair point. I'll tweak the damage back up and take it back out against some of the engineered ships. :)
lol i felt the same way yesterday in the cg system. 2 player vettes vs me in my conda. ended about the same but less than half the time...
Awwww. You'll get 'em next time!

Nice! But I would have liked to have been able to see the condition of your Corvette from time to time, if you had targetted it every now and again.

You can see it on the small display to the top right of the fighter status. Shows shields and hull of your NPC piloted vessel.
