Shaper Origin is awesome. One of the best tool additions to the shop. Your videos/sessions to help us are greatly appreciated.

    Hey Shaper,
When you explained the bit where pattern router bits cant be used with shaper, i was thinking: that would be a seriously great new option: with origin you can set your depth exactly where you want it. Wouldn’t it be interesting to have a “pattern function”? What i mean is: in the pattern mode, origin doesn’t need tape. It operates as a normal router, but with a digitally controlled Z-axis. In this mode X and Y are fixed.

I love my Shaper and use it in my workshop almost every day, and its a quality addition to my woodworking skills and jobs I can do. I would like you to link to a site where I can get good quality cutters, in all the variants to all kind of material. I know you go through them in this video, but I would like a list with all the cutters, name and where to buy them. The cutters is the bottleneck where iam right now in my skills of using origin :D I hope you would help.
Thanks and awesome work guys :D

@shaper I’ve seen several people use for metal, heck even 3/8” flat bar question is I guess any carbide but would work just take it slow? Another q is on the sign blanks like we use in our print shops, I guess any end kill you’re off flat cutter tip would suffice?

Where can you find the 8mm collet shown? It's not on the shaper store.

Any particulars on the 1/2" cutter? Manufacture, part #, etc. I've never seen a bit like the one described and would like to order one.

I would likely use an o flute or an end mill style depends on what you are doing. It’s hdpe core aluminum outer.

When using the diamond tip for engraving and trying to hold the Origin still, couldn't the base of the Origin be clamped down for each letter while engraving in auto mode?
I know that is a lot more work, but the tool wouldn't move.
A location for the clamp would have to be chosen so as to not damage the base.
    Would this be possible?
