  • Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray have been huge for the Denver Nuggets' success in the NBA Finals, but Ric Bucher stresses the importance of role-players like Aaron Gordon. Gordon has been instrumental in keeping the Nuggets ahead of the Miami Heat. Plus, what's the future look like for Chris Paul, who could be waived by the Phoenix Suns?

Also i am not sure teams will even try to copy the Joker. Realisticly finding another guy that is a efficient and consistent threat on all levels is close to zero and they know that.
And you absolutely need that guy to Top 15 in things offence otherwhise he cannot replicate what the Joker does or means for his team.
Think about it this way if you where to find a guy that is 75% Shuaq O`Nell thats instantly a great player you would want. (And we haven`t found such a guy yet)
If you find a guy that is 75% Joker you just managed to get a center that is average in all the boring categories of the game. Any competent defence can deal with that kind of player.

Reggie never had enough help sadly in terms of another prime HOF or even multi time prime all star then PG injury really set us back. I have been a Denver Nugget fan for over 30 years, I want them to win tonight and be champions, and I don't care about a dynasty. However, this is reminiscent of the Washington Redskins in the 80s when Joe Gibbs, then Washington coach, had the first offensive line that averaged 300 pounds each that was athletic (counter trey?). Parcells, then coach of the Giants, said that if there were ever going to get out of the NFC East, they needed to match Washington's line. Same here. If anyone in the West wants to get past the Nuggets, they must rethink their roster composition.

I am very happy for Aron Gorden he had 2 dunk contests stolen from him plus the guy who was given the dunk trophy was his teammate. so Aron Gorden had to go back to a team that was favoring LeVine who (in my opinion) was never better than AG. Gordon is by far the best POWER Forward in the NBA today. He's todays SHAWN KEMP
So Denver has the best Scoring Interior Center and the Best Inside Scoring PF. What do you know they ARE WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP JUST LIKE I TOLD EVERYONE that it's all about INSIDE SCORING And not about 3's. Denver would sweep 2017 Warriors. I TOLD EVERYONE FOR YEARS AND YEARS. I Was right. I could tell cause a memphis almost beat the warriors and they are average inside scorers. Give that team Jokic and Gordon and they would've won.

It seems all sports are a very copycat league, but I'd argue that the Nuggets didn't just lay the blueprint for success....the Heat did.
Much like soccer, basketball is a sport where a top seeded team is usually going to roll a lot of the time.
But the Heat who barely got into the playoffs and on paper just don't have the talent compared to the best teams of the NBA. They have overcome this for the past few years and continually compete.
Just because a lot of the media have the Ricky Bobby mentality "if you ain't first, you're last" doesn't mean the bigger takeaway can't come from the team that seems to have just hit the mountain of a far superior talented team.
Hats off to you Miami Heat regardless of the finals outcome.

He's their best player. Cause he's 6'10 250 and their SMALL FORWARD. He is the guy that makes them a BIG team. Without him they would be a normal size team again and wouldn't win. He is the guy that averages 15 a game and posts up when Gordon and Jokic are doubled. He he a great defender and rebounder. Also he is their 3rd best interior scorer and dunker. Your'e a dumb denver kid that doesn't know sports or basketball. democrats don't understand team sports.

Porter has done well this post season at being a team player lots of rebounds some key assists but not up to his scoring par

Is that the same Warriors team that was getting destroyed by Kawhi until Zaza intentionally injured him?

The Grizzles almost beat them. Denver are a lot better Interior team than those Grizzles.

Warriors would beat the Nuggets! Jokic (big) can't guard the perimeter like AD and LeBron (bigs).

Nuggets would destroy the warriors. Bigger at every posiition. Even The Grizzles almost beat them. Remember the Gasol and Randolph Grizzles and they didn't have a 6'10 SF that could post up. While Jokic and Gordon are WAY better at Posting up then add 6'10 post up Porter. Nuggets are the best team in the last 20 years.

AD isn't guarding Jokic. LeBaby isn't guarding Jokic. No one on in GS is stopping Jokic.

Well it’s not Denver’s fault GS was not able to advance far enough to play them… Hard to imagine the team (GS) that lost to a team (LA) beating the team (Denver) that swept the team (LA) they lost to in any scenario, but will never know.

😢 it's well deserved for the denver nuggets it'll be considered the best nuggets team in history huh? Jokic and murray (coming off a broken leg) 🦵 is the best duo in the nba at least at the moment. We can't talk repeat next year because it'll be some much turmoil and players feeling themselves looking for deals and outside noise 😁😔 but we will see what'll happen.
