Do a lesson on how to Sing like Disturbed. I've been trying to understant their style for a really long time and there's something about it that I can't understand. Since you give such good lessons I really consider your video about this helpful.

It’s funny how singing and learning a language are so similar. Not to sound cringe or anything I saw what you did with tongue placement for sound, very cool.
I was a lead singer in a metal band back in the late eighties early nineties. Scorpions was a band out of my range. Great job my friend you have a rocking voice.

are there any videos, etc of your band from the 80's? you also have what is known as " a great FM radio voice". (i did many 100's of hours of DJ'ing in college -- sadly my voice just doesnt have the appeal yours does. have you ever done voice overs for games / commercials ? i'll be busy watching up your videos for awhile. great job on still loving you. and yes, finally someone notices the german accent Klaus uses so well to distinguish his unique vocal qualities. what power he has as well.
The word "You" during the ending vamps is very breathy and can get away from a singer if pushing too hard.

I noticed in the rolling Stones top 100 male singers that Klaus Meine is not listed which is an absolute shame because whether people love his style or not he is a fantastic singer with incredible power. He hit those high notes effortlessly back in the day and he's still not bad even today. Fantastic job on a tough song Ken from one of my favorite bands.

I've always loved how moody and haunting this song is. It's like a slow burn. I love my hair band rock and roll and I hated it when Nirvana and grunge came on the scene and took all of the melody and fun out of rock music.

in my humble understanding, with correct technique application; you can can sing pretty much anything it doesn't matter much which voice designation you may be, although for certain songs; some designations sounds better than others..

A vocal type simply refers to the range where a vocalist can navigate the best with support thus the most pleasant to listen, but not necessarily the confinement. Some sopranos can go down real low where most tenors can't even hit.
A Countertenor or Sopranist would be interesting to study.

I just cannot believe that Ken is a baritone. He transits so effortlessly between the baritone and tenor range.

Great singer and great song from an awesome band! Klaus and Scorpions will always be at the top of my list. Scorpions were a huge part of my life in the 80's, and I still enjoy listening to, and playing to, them to this day. Klaus is truly amazing, considering he never thought he would sing again after his vocal cord surgery in the 70's. The surgery instead made his higher register even tighter. Klaus still has an amazing voice today, even in his 70's, unlike a lot of other singers that did not take care of their voices as well. Scorpions also have a new album coming out soon. I can't wait. Good job, Ken!

Doing high falsettos with head voice isn't as hard as hitting those high notes at the rest of the song.
@Epic Terryactually, I am aware of quite a few people who can sing the song without using falsetto. It might not be the smartest or correct technique, but Klaus himself doesn't even use falsetto in the recording

@@Al.j.Vasquez but to make them sound good and musical is the big deal here. Also for example, that specific note is my highest note I can produce when I strangle my throat. So its very painful and hard to even reach and hold that pitch :p.

well dammit, and Ken even messed up some of the lyrics. I find Klaus' singing to be rather clear and understanble. Perhaps cos english is not my native language so might be easier.
These lyrics also actually make sense, unlike some of Klaus's earlier songs. Scorpions lyrics from the 1970s are often just weird.

I highly recommend buying his DVD set. My wife bought it for me as a birthday present and our band rocked hard for 5 years straight. My voice improved by a ton. I was doing Journey covers.....something I never could have dreamed of before Ken's program. We even got a couple of originals on the radio from Coast to Coast. It all ended abruptly for me when I got Covid. 2 years and my lungs are finally on the mend. Pray for me....but more importantly buy the Sing Like Nobody Else training program from Ken.
Hope you´re doing better and will be able to sing again!! Thanx for your great story. I started Ken´s program also - with incredible results within a short time already. :-D

My all time favorite band and I am now 58... I've witnessed every lineup change through the years... loved In Trance and even Virgin Killers but when Matthias Jabs came on the scene, Their sound changed for the better. All of the sudden They had melodic, beautiful rock ballads that actually changed the world... for anyone that was listening. I loved Uli Roth and Ulrich and little brother Michael but when Lovedrive came out, the world changed... If Klause hadn't recovered his voice, Ken Tamplin would have been the perfect replacement!!! I'm so glad that Klause recovered. I can't imagine Scorpions songs being sung by Don Dokken.
BTW Ken, your voice repair course has helped me immensely! I'm the guy that was cut too close to my vocal chords when ventilated for the first round of Covid.
Apparently the body is more resilient than one knows. Using your course daily... and sometimes I feel dumb doing it, It is the best medicine That I have received yet.Made it through Tesla's "What you give" at our has been Rock Star karaoke last week and didn't lose range, never went flat or even cracked once. It's a good feeling to see people applaud and cheer and cover the dance floor again. Thanks my friend and God bless you!

Ken you sing so good you’re scary! The way you nailed Klaus Meine’s “Still loving you” and Steve Tyler’s “Dream on” and nailed em so effortlessly, at least to us who watch you with our hair standing on end. I know you have a trained voice but man oh man to have the guts to take on those songs and nail em pitch perfect is inhuman! I’m singing way better myself since plugging into your channel, anyone who sticks with you will, how can one not? I learned to sing by singing along with Rush, Scorpions and other high rangers like them but I gotta say Ken you’re definitely in their league, God love ya!🤟🏻

Klaus lost his voice in the 70's just before the blackout Album he needed and had surgery and had to learn how to sing again from a special teacher he thought that he would never sing again fortunately the Operation and teacher helped him to save his voice and get back to what he does best you can hear the difference in his voice on the Blackout album onwards he sings good but a different technique to previously

On the 70s records when he hitted the high notes he had a really wild vibrato. I really love their early stuff, with Uli Jon Roth on guitar.
Yeah. Was way raspier before the surgery. You could tell something was up with him. It was nodes.
