I would start with Pillars of the earth. Awesome series. You wouldn't think a book about a cathedral would hold interest. But it is awesome. Great mini series available as well. political intrige and good versus evil. Great characters and his historical accuracy is amazing.
I definitely agree that every series should at least have a short recap of the previous books (prefaced with a SPOILER ALERT lol). It would make it so much easier.
My most recent hauls were The Ship of Destiny (just about to start Liveships, so of course I had to get the full trilogy) by Robin Hobb, and two new releases, The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst, and All This and More by Peng Sheperd
Just found your channel about a week ago and you have been such an underrated gem. So much great information on fantasy books and I have been building my list with many of your suggestions. Finishing “Will of the Many” which has been amazing and then ordering your books to read. Love the videos 🤝
The Blacktongue Thief was great, The Daughter's War is on my list and cant wait to get to it. The audio book for Blacktongue Thief is also really well done. Christopher did his own narration and knocked it out of the park.
Column of Fire is the third book in the original Kingsbridge Series. He’s since released a prequel and a fourth book. I would start with Pillars of the Earth…it’s long but a great ride with memorable characters, particularly villains.
I have just scooped up 7 books! Two standalone and 5 book 1s of a series. The Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jimenez, The Lions of al-Rassan by GGK, The Forgetting Moon by BLD, The Justice of Kings by Richard Swan, Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir, Empire of Silence by Chris Ruocchio, and The Pariah by Anthony Ryan!
@@surpriseitsus9622 had to celebrate a personal thing in my life... and I was able to use credits, so I also got Hyperion by Dan Simmons and Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer 😌
I just joined the newsletter, so I'm excited to read Silence is Silver! Artemis was quite disappointing for me as it felt like one of Andy Weir's weakest works. I had never 1-stared a book on Goodreads until I read that book. I absolutely loved The Martian and I still need to read Project Hail Mary.
I have read all three of Andy Weir's books in the last year or so. I actually enjoyed Artemis the most. It is a little less science obsessed then the other books and less of a solo adventure as well. I think people had expectations from The Martian going into it that it does not satisfy.
Got my trauma club hoodie two days ago and it’s so sick! Would’ve probably worn it for a month straight if I had it when I read the final empire for the first time back in may 💀 Still not over it
I hope they don’t change the narrator and covers for Dungeon Crawler Carl on Audible. Artemis is not his strongest but not bad. Also the cover has nothing to do with the book which is odd.

Excited for the special video! Love dumb things too. The world has felt heavy lately and could use a good laugh 😊
2:01 I agree, physical media is unbeaten. Owning a thing you love is worth more than anything.
A column of fire is part of the Kingsbridge series but I’d definitely recommend starting with Pillars of the Earth. One of my favorite books ever

I really appreciate that!
I bought dreadful as well! It looks like a bunch of fun
Ken Follet is amazing and I would start with Pillars of the Earth. Best book
Also the audiobooks of Blacktongue and Daughters are brilliant 👏🏼
A 'don't-miss-it' novel by Ken Follett is the WW2 thriller Eye of the Needle. I'd start with that one.

I’m reading now Pillars of the Earth and it’s incredible, book of the year contender, loved every page.

Wow, what a line up!

Project Hail Mary won the 2022 Audie award 🎉
Recently picked up silence is silver...crawling it's way further up my TBR📖
I'm so glad that they didn't change the covers of Blacktongue and Daughters'.
Read Blacktongue FIRST!!

A new video? On my birthday??? You shouldn't have! 😍
Oh happy birthday!
Happy belated birthday 🎂 🎈 📚
Awesome list, another great video. Thank you 📖☕
You’d be able to finish the Rise of the Rangers in a day or two. It reads super fast.

"it's been some amount of time since..." Andrew Watson. The perfect quote

Like ur books.. enjoy reading them… 😊
Thank you!
hmmm that acknowledgement is amazing!!!
A Column of Fire is better than Pillars IMO. It's my favorite Kingsbridge book. The Kingsbridge books are interconnected standalones.
I hate the new cover of DCC. I wished they used the original cover. 😢
Yeah the original covers are so eye catching and unique!
@@the_fools_tale where did you find the originals because I only see it out of print?
I had to track them down on eBay and second hand seller sites!
The echo saga is great, I'm on book 7 now
New video!
good idea not trusting me 😌

Signed up for mailing list. Am I automatically in the draw? 😊
Thank you and yep! There should be a welcome email with a free ebook too
And it's totally worth reading... NOW!
@@Andrew.Downing I should read Harbinger first though, right??
