Robbie, you are a breath of fresh air in a messed up world. Thank you.
Hi Robbie. NW LOWER MICHIGAN here. We had a big storm the other night. Lots of rain, high winds, trees down and power out for 24 hours. Weatherman said it was a METEOTSUNAMI. Guess a wall of water hit our beach. I'm 74 and have never heard of such a thing. It's still on the cool side here. 😊
From Michigan also. This raIn every other day is ridiculous.
Hey Linda, I'm on the Saginaw Bay. Want that a crazy storm! We didn't get the worse of it, but we have several leaves down.
I have watched and followed you for years, love all you have to offer!!! I've been looking for Wondering onions for a few years because of yours and I'm so excited,,, I found them a few blocks from me, a neighbour selling plants in front of her house!!!!
Wonderful!
I went to Lowes and purchased 5 1/2 price daylilies, I didn't use to like daylilies, but I learned they are very hardy and hummingbirds love them. They also had 100 gallon livestock water troughs on clearance from 159 marked down to 39.95. I wish I had picked up 2 of the troughs. I don't plan on using it this season. It will take a while to fill with plant matter, etc. I need to be 100% sure where I want it as well. Thank you for all you share/teach.
I am thankful for all of your videos. We have been getting cucumbers for a couple of weeks now. So glad to see that you are getting some planted.
One thing I love to look at during your gardening videos is how you have done your tubing. That alone has really helped me, but so have all of your ideas, especially tulle and how to make our own soil.
I temperatures have been so hot, ranging between 95 and 101. But, we got a good rain and that cooled it off some today. The wind wasn't good. It knocked over one of my tomato plants that I have in a bucket, but luckily, no damage was done.
Keep the videos coming! ❤😊😊❤
Stay hydrated Robbie and Gary, we had a heat wave here and it was bad. I'm with you plant cucumbers because you get more food.
Hey, Robbie! I am in IN, and have been watching your videos for a while now. I wanted let you know that I have the most beautiful and healthy tomato plants this year using your techniques. I grow my tomatoes in containers, mostly 5-gallon buckets, plus a couple of totes. Early in the spring I started prepping my containers by digging out some of the soil from last year, and layering in food scraps, tp rolls, leaves, etc., then replacing the soil on top with some mushroom compost mixed in. They already had some earthworms in them, which was great to see! When it came time to transplant them, the containers were all ready to go, and wow!! My plants have never looked so good. They are healthy, growing very quickly, and loaded with blooms. I know it is from the method you've taught us, and I wanted to thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I love seeing what you and Gary are up to.
With the yellow house, purple tree a tunnel with red flowers or something red would be gorgeous at the end of drive.
We are in a heat wave until about September or October. 😂
Us too here in Texas
Same - Monsoon heat and humidity here in Peoria AZ
This year the heat is crazy odd, stay cool! ❤
Stay hydrated.
It finally rained today and cooled us off but the humidity will be horrible tomorrow. I did a chair garden this year and it’s doing great. Lots of tulle also. Had to put on top of plants too because of heat. I’m starting to eat Sun gold tomatoes now and boy are they good!
I love all you do with your gardening. You have taught me a lot with putting sticks and leaves etc in the bottom of containers. We need rain really bad here in Pa. Our grass is crunchy. Not good
I’m working in morning also. It’s 6:15 pm and 100 degrees with 109 heat factor.
Stay cool and safe. It's been very wet and stormy here in Wisconsin. Had a small heat wave, but we're cooling down a bit. Your use of tulle is ingenious. I used it a bit last year, but went full on this year. Just ran out of what I had and just ordered from the link you provided. Last year the cabbage moths decimated my brassicas. This year, I covered everything with tulle from the moment they were put in their containers out in the garden. Am in the process of doing the same for my squash and cukes to help reduce the squash bug and cucumber beetle pest pressure.
Hi Robbie! 101° today in Orlando!
Great new ideas 👏🏻🤗🦋 another amazing video!! I’m trellising my cucumbers & using tule, chairs, tomato posts & tubing everywhere!!😘🤗
Hi Robbie & Gary. I see Gary playing peekaboo with you Robbie lol. Great job on all that you did today. I'm sure you are beat. See you soon on your next video. God Bless you and Gary
Thank you Robbie for this great information on peppers, watermelons & cucumbers 🥰🥰
You are such an amazing inspiration!!!
Hah!! I found styrofoam in a couple of my pots from years ago too. I removed it all. I love replacing with sticks instead. Much healthier. Thanks to what I’ve e learned from you.
I love your inspiration I’m going to plant some cucumbers in a pot thank you Robbie ❤
What I would give to have 100 degree weather. I cannot stand being cold. Even when it's 80°+ in my house I don't do air conditioning. If I get too warm I just go outside and hose myself down. No biggie. Juli from Michigan.
Thanks for all the tips - great ideas!!
ok. I need to be putting some of my plants into containers and set them into tubs. I always think that I need to plant everything in the same container. Just keep showing us what you are doing so that we can get stuff growing.
So crazy you were just in the 50s now heat wave. Zucchini in my Fl area a bust. Going to try again to sow one this weekend. Going to try and find the time they like where I am. Good to know about that peppers like a tad of shade. Thanks.
I love all your gardens and ideas . Show yourself , we like to see you and the gardens even if you are a wreck as you say.
😊 Thank you ❤️
Looks really good Robbie 🥰
I covered my sage and thyme earlier today. Got to go water now. This heat is already stressing my plants.
I would love a chair garden. So much growing in one area. I would have to weed wack that area because I don't have somewhere that grass and weeds aren't growing.
It would be beautiful, think about all the food you could grow.
Wow! I can only garden in the late evening waaaay to hot 🥵
Everything I grow HAS to be covered with tulle. If it isn't the rabbits, it's the birds eating my plants. I have had some big birds just move the tulle off the soil to get to my plants.
And the bugs are horrible this year.
I’ve got to get watermelon and okra planted. Need seeds.
Robbie help the squirrels are drinking all the water out of my hummingbirds feeders what can I do?
I have not had that issue, maybe hang out 2 feeders, put a plate on top of one, make a second one easier to get to so he will use the easy one
If your having a heatwave to the squirrels might be thirsty. Try placing a small container of water on the ground. Maybe it will help.
You are awesome...😊
Robbie, you say not to get the leaves wet, however, what if it rains?
Hey Robbie 🥰
👌👌💓💓❤❤💞💞

Why are my zucchini plants just having male flowers ?
I thought cucumbers need trellises that allow their tendrils to curl onto something. Is that correct? I have no idea what your cucumber trellises are going to look like.
I'm thinking about growing soyu cucumbers because their supposed to do well in hot weather.
I also don't know how to make trellises inside the containers strong enough to hold canteloupe and sugar baby watermelons.
How to you stop ur cucumber from getting bitter in this heat ?
Last ur mine grew well but were all bitter and I couldn’t remove the taste no matter what I tried
Have you tried METALLIC TULLE to reflect sun? Do you think it will work? I have asked before, but am unable to find any reply. I watch all your videos, could you mention your opinion?

I live in the AZ low desert. That is the kind of high heat I have to deal with!!
