    This high performance Power Steering Cooler for the Jeep® platform addresses the challenges of intermittent power steering shut off and pump failure due to excessive heat. Once installed, the additional fluid volume and cooler surface assists in maintaining a stable operating temperature and keeps your system at an optimal operating range. Ultra heavy duty-this component can be installed almost anywhere.
    Innovative extra large ports feature low pressure drop and allow fluid to soak longer for improved cooling. A triple pass design and internal fins permit more heat to transfer than a traditional system. Removable end caps allow for easy cleaning in the event of a pump or steering gear failure.
    he cooler has a high pressure limit of 1000PSI+ for serious performance, and is anodized for 1200+ hours salt test to ensure a durable finish that will stand the test of time. The Viton seals may be used with almost any oil, fuel, or coolant.
    Rugged design allows the Power Steering Cooler to be mounted in areas more fragile systems must avoid, so it can be mounted away from heat sources and other aftermarket equipment. A standard SAE ORB port allows for many fitting options. The cooler can be solidly mounted, no special rubber mounts required.

    Still never had problems with my JL's power steering. Even on 37's. Maybe because most my wheeling is much higher in elevation, cooler temps, more breaks along the trail. Who knows! Had a PS cooler on my JK. Also, my bumper has a recessed winch location, so I assume it wont fit.

    I don’t think anyone likes to deal with the dealer after the free oil changes. My only thing would be, it would be a pain in the butt to take my front bumper off after having to take it off once before because I got the skid and added the winch. The bolts are floating for the Poison Spyder bumper with some locking washers that really don’t lock the bolts.
    Bottom line I’d probably line this up with something else that needs the front bumper off.
    Did you say Heathen is getting this also? With Heathen not being a Rubicon I’d be curious how the install goes without the electronic sway bar disconnect. Once again you make the install super easy. This would have to be something after the Metalcloak skids.
    Awesome install video! Would like to hear a review if there is any difference unless really the only difference will be during the colder months.

    • @JLLIFEOFFROAD
      @JLLIFEOFFROAD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hear that often thou,, They would just take it to the dealer in the event if something broke. Some dealers are better then others. Mine, I wouldn't trust,, so many headaches from them, the last one was when I went in for my 'free' oil changes on heathen. had my appointment set up for about two weeks, took it in and they freaking told me it would be 8 hours! to do a 10 minute job! Another time we took it to have the sticking steering looked at, we told them how to recreate it. they kept it several days, told us they couldn't recreate the issue, but they 'seen' this issue and it was her synergy steering. Then turned around and tried to charge us $250 for a diagnostic fee. as I was talking to them, trying to get them to explain their logic and how they tried to recreate it, I just caught them lying over and over.... Like they are used to people who have zero idea how to work on their Jeep.
      Im still wanting a new bumper, lol. We did get one for heathen. Install will be the same except no eSway bar pin to hammer out of the way. I find this as cheap insurance, cause if one goes bad (pump of steering gear) you really need to replace both. when and if that happens, Ill change to PSC. Im not gonna drop $2000 to replace OEM steering LOL. NO!
      We will release a review video on this part come the colder months, I really hope it helps with the sticking, but with the other added benefits, im not gonna be upset if it doesn't.
      Thanks for watching brother! always appreciate you!!!

      Sticking... is anger causing... lol
      Overheating... wasn’t super often.... but has happened a few times... I know if my pump were to go out... the dealer would just blame it on something... then try to charge me $250 for a diagnostic..
      Which is exactly what they did to misty when we brought it in for the sticking... we told em how to recreate the problem... they didn’t do it.... they blamed the issue on her synergy steering and seriously tried to charge us $250 for a diagnostic. The less I’m there the better lol... and $800 for a ps pump... is BS 😂

      @JLLIFEOFFROAD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      LOL, you right, PSC... We all mis-speak from time to time LOL. I never claimed to be a professional LOL ;)
      The reason for the good stuff?
      This system MUST use high grade pure synthetic. Do not use ATF.
      Why the good stuff?
      High grade synthetics offer a much higher temperature capacity without breaking down. Even more important is that it will maintain a more consistent viscosity at low temperatures so the steering will not become heavy and blow off the pressure relief valve to soon. This could cause a large reduction in power assist at very low temperature conditions (sub 10 degrees F)

    • @JLLIFEOFFROAD
