What I really find interesting about Bruno's room is that, apparently according to the directors, the stairs grew as his relationship with his family got worse. There were less stairs when he was younger. I find that very poetic. They both kept people from coming to get visions, but also stopped his family from coming to help him, whenever he was isolating himself.
That would mean if and when he got a new room(assuming it had stairs again), the amount of stairs is VERY SMALL since his relationship with his family has been fixed!
Isaac Carlson pointed out that Bruno's room used to be next to his sisters'. But the doors to the rooms can change location and, as Bruno became estranged from the rest of the Madrigals, his door was relocated to another floor. Bruno's Tower was the only room on that floor, a poetic way of showing Bruno's loneliness and isolation.
I think that along with all the mirrors in Camilo's room, there is one mirror that always showed his true self. That way, no matter how much he shapeshifted into other people, he would never lose track of his true self.
Originally, Camilo when he lost his gift, he would of transformed into his “true self’ and no one could recognize him. The directors and writers decided that this would pose too many questions, so they didnt feature it.
OMG. I also thought that Camilo's room would be filled with mirrors! My personal headcanon is that there's several normal mirrors, but also two special main mirrors: one like you said, that shows him as he truly is no matter what he's turned into, but the other shows him what he has in mind. Basically he can practice transforming without physically doing so. Like a preview of sorts
Theory that just occurred to me about Pepa's room (and probably Julieta's): What if her room used to be more magical and it's normalized a bit since Felix moved in? Like how the rooms adapt to each character's powers, it'd also adapt to his lack of powers? It'd be kinda nice if the house welcomed and adapted itself to the newcomers. Like, the powered family members that live in each room can deal with its extreme conditions because their powers help them control the room, but when a non-powered moves in, they'd be helpless. We already see this with Maribel's difficulty in Bruno's room; imagine if someday someone moved in with Antonio - how would they deal with all the animals they can't communicate with?; or Pepa's room, which could've been all extreme weather conditions - she could redirect it as she pleased, but not Felix; and etc for the other rooms. So, maybe that's why her room just looks more like a normal room now. Julieta's might be something like that too, to account for Agustin. Plus - Abuela, who has no powers, also has a simpler room. And Mirabel's original, simple room, which, yeah, wasn't designed or magically adapted for her, but it does make you think of whatever her new room in the new house is. Probably not that huge or complicated (she probably also wouldn't spend much time in it, but in the rest of the house, with her family, but I digress).
For that, I direct you to Antonio's room. The first few feet of his room were fairly normal, and gradually morphed into the jungle. Isabella's room does not do that because she does not need nearly the open space that Antonio does for the jungle for the habitat of the animals. It is reasonable to think that Pepe would have a fairly open space for her weather control, but also a "normal" space for entertaining and relaxing. Because Mirabel was able to bump her through the wall, it is not unreasonable to assume that she was on the adjoining wall near the door to her room.
I had wondered about the husdands moving in also. And if the rooms can react to the powers , I have to wonder what would happen in Peppa’s room while they were … having “alone time” 😬
I imagine Dolores has a room in 3 sections 1 normal-she can hear everything 2 soundproofed-she can here everything in the house and 3 a sensory depravation tank-dead silent but she probably cant stay in it long.
I believe Camilos room, just like him, would transform and shift. I think this would help him learn to shapeshift and react faster depending on the situation. The layout of the room would change, maybe there are obstacles, his room would have him become more adaptable to sudden changes and become what is needed in the moment. In the movie he is constantly adapting to become what is needed in the moment (comic relief, emotional support for his mom, Jose, etc). I thought of this while watching the scene where Casita is falling and Camilo is able to transform to different sized people to avoid getting hit by rubble. Reaction time like that needs to be practiced and I believe his room is where he practices. I think that there would be mirrors but in the form of a maze maybe. I could be wrong, just a thought.
There is another possibility, which is taken from his door. His door includes a stage and some chairs, so his room might include a theater. That is not to say that the mirrors and obstacle course are not there as well. Mirrors can be against walls, and flipped around when not in use. The theater and audience pit can provide a space for an obstacle course, and the props can provide the obstacles.
I'm just gonna casually mix these ideas in with my first thoughts that his room is almost like a wardrobe or costume department, where there's all kinds of outfits/pictures/facsimiles of people he knows, so he can look at those to help perfect his appearances. (Also I imagine some of the mirrors being funhouse ones just because!)
I'd like to think that Casita made a little extra room for Agustín and Félix in their wives rooms when they got married. Agustín even points out he knows how it feels to not be special make it seem like he doesn't feel like apart of the family. They even end up on the front door which is beautiful because before Abuela clearly only saw them as a means to produce the next generation. The Casita is telling them that they are an equal part of the family and no longer just the outsiders that just married in.
If Casita didn't adjust the rooms to make sure that spouses were accommodated, I think producing children would be more difficult. Imagine adding a husband and a pregnant belly into a twin bed. The beds must be adapted for the growing size of the Madrigal family. And don't forget bassinets and places to breastfeed.
@@jasonhenry3534 I also think that Casita can grow inside without taking up more space outside for when they have plenty of children, they will need more room for the doors
I know we're talking about Encanto, but for Julieta's room, I've always kind of pictured a mixture of the Hogwarts Potion's classroom and the Hufflepuff common room with a kitchen.
I don't think it would have a kitchen. The house already has a kitchen which we see her using. I think there's a garden with herbs, vegetables, fruits and things. Ingredients that she can use in her cooking.
Abuela’s line is foreshadowing about how controlling and out of touch she is. She doesn’t have a magical room, so her room is normal like Mirabel’s. She has unrealistic expectations of her family because she expects them to clean the magical rooms in the same way they would clean a regular one. She sees any resistance as a bad excuse.
I believe that the stairs were because in most mythology, when you want to see an oracle. Someone who could tell prophecies, you would have to do a very hard challenge. The stairs being that.
@@alexjewett7455 that makes sense actually. A bit sad tho. It's the house letting him have a break from the family and townspeople who saw him as only a bad guy from his gift. Made it harder for them to intrude and demand a prophecy that in the end made more people hate him for seeing that a goldfish in an improper tank died..a guy was balding...another gaining weight...and he was teasing at the wedding....wait how is any of that his fault?? Dude he warned you, you were getting fat you could have exercised. Lady learn more about your pet and get them a bigger tank. Dude your balding you have a solution your wig nothing could have changed your outcome comes with getting old. Isabella he did see her powers growing they did grow and become amazing. He was also correct in Dolores's crush almost marrying another but she never spoke up never showed she liked him so not his fault...and Marabel did see the house from all the drama and stress her grandma was putting on everyone causing the fall and helping it get built back up along with the family finally bonding.
Something you guys didn’t notice on the left side next to Pepa‘s head there is a photo frame and it has Antonio in it on the day he got his gift how adorable is that!
@@charleslee8313 I spent nine years living with two other people in a one-bathroom house and we all hated it. There's twelve people here. It's gotta be complete chaos.
Not to mention she probably heard her parents make her little brothers. I think her and isabela are both 21 so she already had her gift for 11 years when Camilo got his. 6 when he was born.
Also at the end after Casita fell. Julieta went directly to get small bottles. That she knew where to look with all the debris. I think this is a hint that she is like an alchemist.
I like to think that Julietta's room also has a little spa section with some vanilla essence infusers, constantly warm pools and heated massage tables so that she and her husband can relax and care for themselves and each other after a long day. And I hope that the rooms of the children will grow and evolve so that they can incorporate similar elements once they have learned their lessons too.
I hope the new house had a non-nursery room for Mirabelle. Rooming with your cousins is fine and all, but by the time the nieces and nephews are coming along that's gonna start feeling a bit weird... x
I’m curious if the room changes at all once the husbands join the family. Does a twin bed become a king? Does the husband get an area to themself or do they just have to deal with whatever was in the room? Maybe that’s why Pepa’s room is plainer so it’s more like a normal house since there’s a husband to add to it?
I really hope Disney make a TV series for Encanto! Then we’d be allowed to explore the characters so much more and possibly get to see the other characters rooms too
Just a theory here, what if the stairs in bruno's room weren't there originally; but formed alongside the rift between bruno and his family. The more his prophecies (or educated guesses) unnerved people the more abuela felt he was hurting more than helping and casita responded by gradually distancing bruno physically from the rest further compounding bruno's feelings of isolation. But that's pretty flimsy at best
I think Camilo's room has a lot of mirrors, but a lot of pictures of himself as well, so he never loses his personal identity. We only see a corner of Pepa's room. I think there's a space with a lot of sun lamps and fluffy pillows as a calming 'clear skies' place. I imagine Julieta's room also has a whole wall of cook books.
Isn’t it just possible we did see Julieta’s room? When she was talking to Mirabel and healed her wound on her hand, it looked like a kitchen. If her room had to have a kitchen as you said, what if that’s her room?
you made me realize that the children's powers in relation to their parents was really cleverly done. animals, sounds, the changing visuals all feel somewhat related to weather while plants and strength do feel related to eating and healing.
I do like the idea of Peppa’s room being simple, but I also think the part of her room we see in the movie is just the normal part. Like in Antonio’s room the first few feet inside the door look like a normal room with wallpaper, then it expands into the magical jungle dimension. I think Peppa’s room expands into an area where she can unleash her emotions and her powers without affecting anything or anyone.
Maybe in a sequel we can see if the rooms are connected at all, which might sound strange but I think it would be cool to see if the rooms have any other interactions that could just be to their parents or siblings but could also be close friend relationships eg. Mirabel and Antonio. This would be an interesting addition to the lore if they did it :D
The doors light up when they use their powers. Their doors are lit the whole time, minus when the magic is fading. That adds to the stress they were under to serve. They constantly used their powers
Maybe. She might also inherit Abuela's room when she passes away. (This room is for the current keeper of the magic, and Mirabel is the heir apparent.)
@@marksebree5218 oh! Yeah. I’ve actually thought about this. One theory I have is that all of this took place because Abuela is going to die soon and Mirabel will take her place.
when they rebuilt the house they weren't expecting it to be magical, so they should've built in a new room for Mirabel. Even if it doesn't become magical, let our girl have a room that's not *the nursery*!
@@GreenMeansGOF : I thought something similar. The Casita/magic was "looking" for someone suitable to be the next keeper of the magic with the second generation, and when Mirabel was 5, not only did she have the right elements of the right personality to be the next keeper, it was unlikely that there would be another child born, and who would be old enough to handle the responsibility of keeping the magic before Abuela died. Keep in mind that Abuela was about 65 when Mirabel had her ceremony, and is now about 75. Even with Julietta's cooking to keep her healthy, she is not likely to last long enough for the next generation to be grown, i.e. another 20 - 25 years.
@@marksebree5218 Personally, my headcanon is Mirabel kinda just got unlucky. I think the magic was already waning at that point, and since Mirabel is only a few months younger than Camillo, the miracle didn't have enough time to build up the magic to give her a gift. Antonio is years younger, so there was a lot more time for it to prepare for him, but even then it was barely enough. At the end however, Mirabel pretty much earns the miracle again. Between everything she'd done during the movie and during the repairs after, plus the love and care involved in the family giving her the doorknob as the final piece of the home, Mirabel and the madrigal's bond was strong enough to bring it back, and as the central focus of all of that, Mirabel became the new keeper.
i love all theories, and the hint that brunos stairs got bigger as his relationship with his family got worse. but what if walking up all the stairs gives you a chance to think "do i really want to see my future or do i want to live in peaceful ignorance?
Louisa's unsung power: not even breaking a sweat. Anyone else know J was going to say "Robitussin" the moment before he did? Group therapy. Does Maribel's Front Door at the end stay open or closed? The door has two parts that separate when open.
I always figured along with a fully functioning kitchen, there would be a flower/herb garden. But also a whole section that would be a library full of recipes as well as empty books to will with new recipes she created on her own.
I heard she might get her own room and I hope she actually does! I can imagine when everyone was making the new Casita, they made sure to make a room for Mirabel along everyone else!
I think that, just as Alma's room is similar (if not identical) to the room she shared with Pedro, Mirabel would get a nee room similar to the nursery. It would probably be more personal, but she grew up in there, so she probably wouldn't feel at place in a different room (especially if it was huge like the ones we see).
My theory is of Mirabel getting a pure blank plain white room that’s like a canvas. And like Rapunzel she begins to fill & decorate it with her art & crafts & maybe a item of furniture inspired by everyone else’s room. It goes from a clean slate to bursting with color & personality & reminders of those she loves…just like Mirabel
For Camilio I always thought that it would be full of mirrors and then have another door hidden among them to a room that could shapeshift based on their mood. Like if they were sad it would be full of soft fluffy stuff and when they're angry stuff to break with no consequences. Idk, I just like the idea that the shapeshifter has a shifting room
It's worth saying that right behind the doors there's a relatively normal room We can see this at Bruno and Antonio's room Normal floor and furniture and bed. And there's no "back wall". It just opens up to the magical part of the room. I think Isabella had it too, but maybe used her power to just grow the flowers and make it as one. So I'd believe the Pepa is sitting in her normal part of the room. The one she's living in with her husband.
One thing i noticed in the movie is that at the end of it we get to see almost everybody's door when Casita got her magic back. There weren't any 'drawings' or carvings on the doors as we all know them and idk if that means they got new rooms???? Or their rooms just got rearranged a bit.
I don't know why but I always assumed Camilo's room sorta... Shifted with him and his feelings? Like a mood ring, but his room. So he could change it to be whatever he wanted, just like he can change himself.
This might just be me but I feel like there weren’t always that many stairs in Bruno’s room and the more distanced he became from the family the longer the staircase became
I think Camilo's room could potentially replicate other bedrooms or environments too, like a stage theater setting but with maybe some standing mirrors and stage lighting and whatever prop he needs in the moment as his furniture, for acting out whatever person he's imitating at the time.
i'd assume bruno has all those stairs to prevent him from abusing his power and knowing everything that will happen. it takes a lot to be able to use that strong of a power
I think camilos could be filled with mirrors (as you said) but also a whole bunch of closets and manekins so he can try and be other people and imitate them
Just some random ideas that pop into my head while watching the vid... Bruno's room is based off of a natural occurring erosion. One could say that the sand that erodes are a witness to time passing. It's a nice representation of how sand can see all and Bruno is just looking skipping ahead. Luisa's room could have that secret room, it's just that house provides her with it, it doesn't mean that she "allows" herself to use it. After the movie, after her self realization. she might finally go into that room. I think the mirror idea is great for Camilo, but just to add a bit more. Those "House of Mirror" mirrors in carnivals. the ones that distort and there might be one in his room that will ALWAYS show his true form, regardless of what he turns into. If Pedeo is Casita, then it could mean the entire house is "his" room, wanting to protect his family and provide them with what they need. So it's not that Pedro as Casita is giving the family powers, but he is just another recipient of the "Gift".
4:00 I think the reason he has so many stairs is because he has to learn patience with his gift because his visions can be frustratingly confusing sometimes. It could also be because he needs to put a lot of consideration into performing his gift, because it may negatively affect people's views of their life(and of Bruno). It may be dangerous at times to see your future(just imagine if you knew the time and date of your death. How would you feel?)
Hi Chad the plant! Love your videos as usual! I'd love to see the other rooms in a possible sequel or series, that would be awesome. Regarding Bruno's room though, it was my impression that the reason why there were so many stairs was to represent how distant he had grown from the family. The more and more secluded and ostracized he became, the more stairs were added to his room, until it finally culminated in that ridiculously long stairwell, plus a bridge. Also, it may have been a way to help with ensuring whoever made it to his Vision Room had a really important vision to request - basically, preventing him from getting pestered with really small and 'pointless' vision requests all the time, as having visions is obviously very stressful for him. Oooor it was Casita preparing him for all the parkour he'd have to do to transverse the inside of the house with all its cracks and holes.
I really hope that Disney will build an Encanto attraction in their theme parks. An adventure where you go through all the different rooms. I can totally see it! 😍
I had the theory that we see Luisa's room during "Under The Surface" song, I believe hers is a room that changes to different quests so she can practice her powers, you can see weight decorations on the walls during the song.
I also suspect that Julieta’s and Pepa’s room changed a little when they got married to accommodate Agustin and Felix too. I imagine it might be rough for a non-powered person to sleep EVERY SINGLE night in a fantastical room tailor-made for the exercise of a single superpower, so Pepa’s room may have been a bit more on the ordinary side for Felix’s benefit.
The stairs in Bruno's room might have been to filter out people with frivolous questions. If you want your prophecy read you have to want it badly enough to make that hike.
I always envisioned Julietta’s room/power coming from the food growing in her room, so that it was kind of like jungles and fields full of trees and bushes growing exotic food with healing properties that she then cooks in the main kitchen we see her in
With Pepa's room that scene in the movie is her normal room. When Antonio walked in his room the first part was normal but then became the jungle. So Pepa's real room I think would be some kind of cloud dimension.
This has nothing to do with Encanto but the sponsorship at the beginning....what you said about it being okay to have "bad days or a lot of bad days" gave me pause and I felt compelled to comment and tell you "Thank You" because even such a small sentence made me feel seen for the first time in a while 💜
I'd like to think that when the town helped the family rebuild their house, before anyone guessed/hoped it would regain its magic, they included a room for Mirabel. It would have niches for all her crafting supplies, and the rest of the walls could display her best work (which of course would all be family-related). Once the Casita regained its sentience, it might have a glowing door, like Abuela's, but it might just stay normal, but cozy, and exactly what Mirabel needs. A reminder that it doesn't have to be magical to be right for her!
Day 3 of asking for my Theory: Mirabels gift is breaking things. Luisas gift stopped working RIGHT AFTER Mirabel talked to her. She broke isabellas unhappy engagement, and actually WAS the one who broke the house, and the miracle. But it NEEDED to be broken so that the family could come back together. Also, immediately when she got her gift she broke her door as her power manifested.
luisa’s power only stopped working because Mirabel and Luisa talked it through and decided that Luisa carrying way too much wouldn’t be good for her. but even after they had that talk and bonded, Luisa eventually got to overthinking and just thinking of her family’s expectations and that they’d be disappointed so she started feeling bad. she let her own mental health deteriorate again because of the family, hence why her power stopped working. plus the house started breaking because everyone started blaming Mirabel for the magic ending up breaking in bruno’s vision
I found what you said about Julieta interesting because because her power is healing nd she uses herbs then you brought up Isabella power involving plants. Well in a way her kids mirror each other and there connected Julieta: keeps people alive and safe Luisa: is the strength and protector Isabella: Represents the family's image imperfect and unpredictable Mirabel: Is the heart of the family she keeps everyone grounded and listens to them At least that's just how I see it but of course it's my own opinion 😅
Its been 2 years but this movie still amazes me. A nice hidden detail is that when Mirabel got her “room” the entire town lit up because they also helped build casita. And casita’s powers extend way beyond the front door when it dragged the family and villagers into the house. Is it possible that Mirabel is not only the keeper of the miracle but also the keeper of the town? Like, her power being similar to reading emotions?
What happens if the Secret keeper of the fidalius charm dies without telling anyone the secret? Does the charm break or can no one ever learn what was being concealed
I'd assume it breaks. There are other instances of the charm being broken, like the Potter's house where it's broken despite Wormtail still being alive, and even though Dumbledore was secret keeper of Grumauld Place he though there might be some magic that would still let Belatrix see the house due to inheritance, should Sirius willing the house to Harry be void, and when Dumbledore himself died the house technically stayed invisible, but everyone who knew about it became the new secret keeper, so it's hardly an airtight spell, and as such I think it'd break should the sole secret keeper die.
I think Delores' room has a soundproof section, so that she can hear what she wants or needs to, but when it becomes too much and she needs a break, she can go to that soundproof part and just zen out.
@SuperCarlinBrothers I have a theory that the room that we see in Camillo's verse in we don't talk about Bruno is Camillo's room and Camillo made his room shapeshift into one resembling Bruno's room. It would explain how he was super chill during his verse and how the rats were basically obeying him (they might have been elements in the room that Camillo controlled like puppets). Also when Mirabel fell through the ground Camillo was just there at the bottom floor ready to catch her. If that didn't prove that it was his room and he was controlling it I don't know what will. (I posted this theory as a TH-cam short)
Julieta room probably has a garden or some fields, to help the town if there was ever a shortage of crops, and to hang with her sister. After Isabella grows her power, she definitely took her there too.
@@mecawilliams6692 oh you saw that too yeah people think that in her song surface pressure when it's like pink clouds and stuff people think that that is part of her secret getaway room
I think Julieta would do her cooking magic in Casita’s kitchen, and her room would be where she does her homeopathic magic. After the candle goes out, she grabs a tincture bottle from a box in the rubble on her way to help someone that was hurt. I can totally see her growing the medicinal plants in her room, maybe even with help from Isabella now that she’s accessing more of her own gift. And also, hi Chad!
I wish you guys would do a theory on why Camilo remembers Bruno and Mirabel doesn't. He is only a year older than her. Even if it happened when they were both very young, it makes no sense that one knows him and the other doesn't.
Actually that's simply just the normal part of Pepa's room! Every Madrigal room has it (you even see it at the very front of Antonio's for a second) before it turns into the giant magical portion
I think Mirabel would have like a crafting room or secret space just for her to unwind and do projects she likes. Like rows of fabric, looms, needles, thread anything and everything.
For Luisa, I think the part of her room that's on a beach would be there after Mirabel resurrected the miracle, because Luisa now has learned slowly but steadily to relax so now I think it's there in her room And hopefully when they make an Encanto sequel we might get to see it
With Peppa's room I feel like we only see the normal part at the front of the room, not the magical skill honing part in the back. Just like Antonio's room next to the the door it is more like a house, and both of there gifts are nature based. So I think her room is a vast area to test and practice different kinds of weather variations.
1:08 don’t forget about mirabel we saw a lot of her room as well and in the movie we saw a glimpse of Abuela’s room when she was walking out of her room during the first song
A theory about the stairs in Bruno's room: the more people began to turn against him for his visions, the more he tried to distance himself. As Bruno continued to distance himself, the room adjusted with him
Y'all I JUST realized Abuela took off her grieving shawl at the end of the movie signifying she's finally ready to move forward with her life! I wonder if her room will change...
I‘d really like to know whether Mirabel gets her own room after rebuilding casita. I’m sure she wouldn’t stay in the nursery forever? I mean, more children are bound to come and at some point it would just get really awkward, I guess. So, what would her room have? I’m guessing a lot of space to fit the entire family if needed, but probably also a corner for her crafting
i feel like juliettas room does not have a kitchen but a loooot of books about cooking. resoning behind this? well there is already a kitchen in casita, she also seems to have a mobile one. if she wanted to practice cooking she could use those at any time. but there are no books about cooking anywhere, so for here to really engage in new recipes she would need to get her inspiration from somewhere, hence a library with cooking books and a herbal garden :D
Can I imput that he also could move up and down the stairs for seeing the Steps to take like they showed with mirabelle's seeing moment
Interesting
hoodoo
That would mean if and when he got a new room(assuming it had stairs again), the amount of stairs is VERY SMALL since his relationship with his family has been fixed!
Isaac Carlson pointed out that Bruno's room used to be next to his sisters'. But the doors to the rooms can change location and, as Bruno became estranged from the rest of the Madrigals, his door was relocated to another floor. Bruno's Tower was the only room on that floor, a poetic way of showing Bruno's loneliness and isolation.
When Casita was rebuilt, I like to think it renovated everyone's rooms to both encourage and give them a better space for self care
And that Mirabel actually got a bedroom to herself rather than being stuck in the nursery again.
yeah, I agree. :) I do plan to write Luisa's new room. :)

So, until this comment, I never thought about the fact that the muggle husbands would live in the wives’ rooms 😅😅
Wow Paige I think you have been reading a little too much Harry Potter ( or watching too many SCB theories about it!)
I had wondered about the husdands moving in also. And if the rooms can react to the powers , I have to wonder what would happen in Peppa’s room while they were … having “alone time” 😬

OOOO not a bad theory! this is my personal headcannon now thank u ^^
That makes complete sense. I now accept this as true
Love this idea
Probably be a big kitchen
In my mind
With moving staircases……..
I don't think it would have a kitchen. The house already has a kitchen which we see her using. I think there's a garden with herbs, vegetables, fruits and things. Ingredients that she can use in her cooking.
@@darrenmacqueen9884 oooh i love that idea.
Sucks that poor Bruno had to climb them too
@@madethistocomment727 Maybe they turned into a travelator for Bruno
I think the director said on Twitter that the stairs grew as Bruno became more distant from the rest of the family.
Like in percy jackson how the Oracle used to be in the attic
Something you guys didn’t notice on the left side next to Pepa‘s head there is a photo frame and it has Antonio in it on the day he got his gift how adorable is that!
I feel so bad for Dolores. Her "gift" is the most horrifying thing ever. I don't even want to think about when somebody in the family gets diarrhea.
especially since they have only one bathroom in the house.
Idk it seems like she has control to some degree of it
check out the song "Turn it down" sometime if you want to explore this concept a bit more. sung by Dolores' actual voice actor!
Ohhh, that's a good point - the married Madrigal's rooms also now house their spouses! I wonder if that changed anything in their rooms?
Bruh I want this -
I hope the new house had a non-nursery room for Mirabelle.
That’s exactly what happened. I believe that’s confirmed
Yeah, that's just straight up known information.
@@tahjramberan9038 confirmed where? I just haven't seen it
@@stevenbobbybills same question?
@@tahjramberan9038 and the fact I came up with it without any outside confirmation shows how well it's done by the creators imo
Are you kidding me, is she going to stay on the floor to sleep
I would hope and like to think that Mirabel got an ACTUAL room in the new house that was just hers. Not necessarily magical but unique to her
I think she should at least get a magical door that represents her as the new miracle keeper
I think when Abuela dies, she'll get her room
you made me realize that the children's powers in relation to their parents was really cleverly done. animals, sounds, the changing visuals all feel somewhat related to weather while plants and strength do feel related to eating and healing.

@@weedleisopcute3626 itwasveryenjoyable
I do like the idea of Peppa’s room being simple, but I also think the part of her room we see in the movie is just the normal part. Like in Antonio’s room the first few feet inside the door look like a normal room with wallpaper, then it expands into the magical jungle dimension. I think Peppa’s room expands into an area where she can unleash her emotions and her powers without affecting anything or anyone.
I think for Bruno's stairs...it might have represented his reluctance to give prophecies out. Making himself hard to get to.
8:19 that’s an anemometer, not a barometer. 😉
Oof
Maybe in a sequel we can see if the rooms are connected at all, which might sound strange but I think it would be cool to see if the rooms have any other interactions that could just be to their parents or siblings but could also be close friend relationships eg. Mirabel and Antonio. This would be an interesting addition to the lore if they did it :D
that concept of the rooms being connected is actually a deleted scene, so it was originally planned.
I don't know how far into consideration Encanto 2 is, but if it gets made, it had better be about the other rooms. All the ones shown were awesome.
The doors light up when they use their powers. Their doors are lit the whole time, minus when the magic is fading. That adds to the stress they were under to serve. They constantly used their powers
That whole “this the real Camilo” bit was beautiful. On a separate note, do you think Mirabel has a new room?
When you have such extreme strength, your body wouldn’t have to push itself to do most things so you wouldn’t overheat and therefore wouldn’t sweat
I always figured along with a fully functioning kitchen, there would be a flower/herb garden. But also a whole section that would be a library full of recipes as well as empty books to will with new recipes she created on her own.
Hold it, does that mean Maribelle is still sleeping in the nursery? Seriously, she needs a room.
agreed.

I can't subscribe you talk too much in the video 😢
Is he uhm gender woke? U saying them/they
It's worth saying that right behind the doors there's a relatively normal room
We can see this at Bruno and Antonio's room
Normal floor and furniture and bed.
And there's no "back wall". It just opens up to the magical part of the room.
I think Isabella had it too, but maybe used her power to just grow the flowers and make it as one.
So I'd believe the Pepa is sitting in her normal part of the room. The one she's living in with her husband.
I imagined Camilo’s room as a giant stage. He’s basically the ultimate theatre kid, taking on the role of anyone he comes in contact with at will.
8:19 Each room has a basic part before it gets to the "main attraction" U can see this in Antonio's room
One thing i noticed in the movie is that at the end of it we get to see almost everybody's door when Casita got her magic back. There weren't any 'drawings' or carvings on the doors as we all know them and idk if that means they got new rooms???? Or their rooms just got rearranged a bit.
17:17 no no it makes sense. She has a place, but feels guilty if she uses it instead of getting stronger or helping
I don't know why but I always assumed Camilo's room sorta... Shifted with him and his feelings? Like a mood ring, but his room. So he could change it to be whatever he wanted, just like he can change himself.
This might just be me but I feel like there weren’t always that many stairs in Bruno’s room and the more distanced he became from the family the longer the staircase became
its confirmed your true
3:59 yes your right cause without strong footing the wind will kick him out of the vison
and the bucket of sand that Bruno carries is no doubt heavy
I really hope that Disney will build an Encanto attraction in their theme parks. An adventure where you go through all the different rooms. I can totally see it! 😍
I always thought that Camillo's room would have a replica of everyone else's room for when he shape shifts into one of his family members
Falling sand is also a way to measure time, so it makes sense in Bruno's room
This has nothing to do with Encanto but the sponsorship at the beginning....what you said about it being okay to have "bad days or a lot of bad days" gave me pause and I felt compelled to comment and tell you "Thank You" because even such a small sentence made me feel seen for the first time in a while 💜
Question: did the Casita make Camillos' clothes? I noticed when he's shape-shifting his clothes also change as well..
I think there must be a secret passage between Camilo’s room and Dolores’s room which would explain a lot
Her room has rock walls, walk for rock bed, rock bathroom, rock pillow rock everything on the other side side of her room she has the gym
Day 3 of asking for my Theory: Mirabels gift is breaking things. Luisas
gift stopped working RIGHT AFTER Mirabel
talked to her. She broke isabellas unhappy
engagement, and actually WAS the one who
broke the house, and the miracle. But it
NEEDED to be broken so that the family could
come back together. Also, immediately when she
got her gift she broke her door as her power
manifested.
luisa’s power only stopped working because Mirabel and Luisa talked it through and decided that Luisa carrying way too much wouldn’t be good for her. but even after they had that talk and bonded, Luisa eventually got to overthinking and just thinking of her family’s expectations and that they’d be disappointed so she started feeling bad. she let her own mental health deteriorate again because of the family, hence why her power stopped working. plus the house started breaking because everyone started blaming Mirabel for the magic ending up breaking in bruno’s vision
I found what you said about Julieta interesting because because her power is healing nd she uses herbs then you brought up Isabella power involving plants.
Well in a way her kids mirror each other and there connected
Julieta: keeps people alive and safe
Luisa: is the strength and protector
Isabella: Represents the family's image imperfect and unpredictable
Mirabel: Is the heart of the family she keeps everyone grounded and listens to them
At least that's just how I see it but of course it's my own opinion 😅

Its been 2 years but this movie still amazes me. A nice hidden detail is that when Mirabel got her “room” the entire town lit up because they also helped build casita. And casita’s powers extend way beyond the front door when it dragged the family and villagers into the house. Is it possible that Mirabel is not only the keeper of the miracle but also the keeper of the town? Like, her power being similar to reading emotions?
What happens if the Secret keeper of the fidalius charm dies without telling anyone the secret? Does the charm break or can no one ever learn what was being concealed
Um?
I'd assume it breaks. There are other instances of the charm being broken, like the Potter's house where it's broken despite Wormtail still being alive, and even though Dumbledore was secret keeper of Grumauld Place he though there might be some magic that would still let Belatrix see the house due to inheritance, should Sirius willing the house to Harry be void, and when Dumbledore himself died the house technically stayed invisible, but everyone who knew about it became the new secret keeper, so it's hardly an airtight spell, and as such I think it'd break should the sole secret keeper die.
I think Delores' room has a soundproof section, so that she can hear what she wants or needs to, but when it becomes too much and she needs a break, she can go to that soundproof part and just zen out.
luisas room was probably just a gym
Makes a point😉
This is the perfect movie to also have a show...there’s SO much to explore
I could see Camilo's room being a theater(or part of one anyway)
Wait. What year is encanto set in? Because how did abuela know she was having triplets?
okay real quick we already have concept art for Luise's room it's mostly rocks it looks like a gym and yeah

@@mecawilliams6692 oh you saw that too yeah people think that in her song surface pressure when it's like pink clouds and stuff people think that that is part of her secret getaway room

FIRST MAYBE!!
Yes sadly
You beat me to it by 20 secs
Yep
Loving the new glasses, J! Does this mean we will get to see updated animation for the intro?
For Luisa, I think the part of her room that's on a beach would be there after Mirabel resurrected the miracle, because Luisa now has learned slowly but steadily to relax so now I think it's there in her room
And hopefully when they make an Encanto sequel we might get to see it
Was hoping that there would be a call back to the original days of SCB with never going behind the door. Good memories with that one.
With Peppa's room I feel like we only see the normal part at the front of the room, not the magical skill honing part in the back. Just like Antonio's room next to the the door it is more like a house, and both of there gifts are nature based. So I think her room is a vast area to test and practice different kinds of weather variations.
Fun Fact: mirabel and miracle both have the same starting letters! Mira-bel and mira-cle
Hey J and Ben! I really like how you gave the Pikachu glowing green eyes at 11:53! I thought that was a fun little thing!
I think Bruno’s room has all those stairs because they are meant to be used in a walking meditation in preparation for using his gift.
As Bruno continued to distance himself, the room adjusted with him
Also in the deleted scene "Chores!" Dolores had Julieta's poweres and in dolores' room you can see a bunch of beakers and cooking supplies!!!🧤
About Camilo- I thought of the exact same thing right before you said it- and the part of that he can realize that he is himself 😂❤❤
i love how you made the video funny and bring joy to all of us! tysm :D
Why do I feel like Camilo room is like every time he shaped shift into a person his room change into the person room who he shaped shift
I’d like to believe dolores room is sound proof cuz i can’t imagine how exhausting it is being able to hear everything in the village
Your show and souls are wonderful. Thank you 😊 for all the joy you have provided me . New fan 🦋😎🐾🌎🐾🦋
i feel like juliettas room does not have a kitchen but a loooot of books about cooking.
resoning behind this? well there is already a kitchen in casita, she also seems to have a mobile one. if she wanted to practice cooking she could use those at any time. but there are no books about cooking anywhere, so for here to really engage in new recipes she would need to get her inspiration from somewhere, hence a library with cooking books and a herbal garden :D
