To be fair, with the Coca-Cola thing, a nurse did that with me as a kid. I was in the ER, scared like any 3 year old would be, and the nurse asked me if I wanted a coke. Naturally, I said OK. The nurse brilliantly had put the dosage into the soda and being typical 3 year old, I drank it down. It was a win/win. She got the meds in me and did so without freaking me out further.
See if I was a kid and had a bad sickness where I had to go to the hospital if the nurse asked me if I wanted a coke I would say no bc I’m not dumb and I know that coke is not medicine.

There are things where warmth can ease the pain. But it doesn't need a salt bush, just use a how water bottle or a warm gel pack. And usually it's warmth for muscles and cold for joints. But anything that lats for a while warrants a visit to the doc, because there might be some underlying issue.
In Germany we have “Kirschkern-Kissen”, cherry pit cushions (?). Basically a small cushion that is filled with cherry pits that you warm in the oven or microwave and use as a eco friendly reusable hot pack for cramps or a sore back. Maybe that’s what the salt bush bag was suppose to be. I don’t know if other countries have something similar
That is such a great method to save the environment AND help with your back. Man, governments should take this into account. Thanks for sharing, love from Malaysia ❤️
I don't know what was the bush for, but big grains of salt could be used as heated compress after you put them on a pan. I remember my friend having such a compress with sore ear. It will loose heat pretty slowly, so could help in such cases, when it's needed.
In the UK we have the same but they're usually filled with rice or beans or the fancy ones have ceramic beads and for some reason they are all scented with lavender essential oil.
I think that is supposed to be a bad diy idea for a hot water bottle. Or these gel packs. And having one of them is useful anyway. They can go warm or cold, depending on what you need. Like for that wet towel for headaches. If your headaches get better from cooling, use the gelp pack cold.
When it comes to the "ring is stuck" problem, dunno how well floss works, but it seems pretty uncomfortable. Using lube from a condom might work but those things cost money and I don't think you'd want to carry around an opened one after using it to get a ring off, so... kinda wasteful. Lubricating your finger with the random (non-toxic) oil/fat of your choice, seems a lot more reasonable. Olive oil, butter even? Lard if that's what you have at home? Just use a little bit, nice and cheap, and should work just as well.
I love how he talks so passionately about the unbalanced bra like he knows the struggle 🤣 i love this guy seriously Ps: he's so pissed in this video and I'm here for it hahaha
Everytime a guy mentions a bra in their video, my 1st thought is the feeling of taking it off at the end of the day.😂😂 Oh, fun fact: The next time your partner gives you a massage, get them to do the area right up _under_ your breasts. What a crazy (& sensitive) area we _always_ seem to forget. Though really, we shouldn't. Have a great day. Cheers!🍻
I'm a big fan of the idea that almost any experience is effectively universal, and that a failure to relate is almost exclusively a product of willful disregard. I may not know what an unbalanced bra is like, but everyone has experienced something or other being unbalanced and the discomfort that imposes. Similarly, we all have experienced taking off some article of clothing that contains or applies pressure to parts of our bodies after having worn them for an extended period. An easy example in both cases are socks and/or shoes.
Putting whipped cream in your hair seems like a good way to get sour-smelling hair. Bras are too expensive for cutting them up. Glad someone else acknowledged this. -refraining from making jokes about all the bush stuff- Waste of a condom. Glad you had the same suggestion I was about to make about putting ice in a Zip-Loc. As a dental assistant, I’m glad that you admit you’re not perfect about flossing. Most people aren’t, but will lie about it. No way in hell will egg make a puncture wound disappear. Wtf? No, it doesn’t remove stretch marks. Trust me. I’ve tried everything short of shelling out thousands for laser therapy.
The egg membrane won't make it disappear but waiting 30 min like they said too will generally be more than enough time to get a small prick like that to heal completely, even if you do nothing.
I've never flossed my teeth in my whole life, it's not in our habit in my family nor in my entourage, some doesn't even know dental floss is. I don't want to speak for the entire French people, but I think it's not in our habit in general.
I still remember my gran's hot toddy to treat a cold: Rum, lemon, rum, sugar, rum, hot water and rum. As she said - it won't cure it but after one of those you stop caring about it. @@aradhana356 true, I recall one of my gran's neighbours (who my gran seriously disliked - a fate not easy to survive) complaining to her that she had a headache. Without missing a beat my gran responded by saying 'try cutting your head off, that'll fix it'.

I think the salt bush is supposed to be a heating pad to ease the back pain. Whenever I had a sore throat, my mom would heat up salt in a pan, put it in a sock and tell me to place it on my neck/throat or where ever I felt discomfort. It did not cure my sore throats, but I did enjoy the warmth of the salt sock :D aaand it did ease them a bit, I think atleast. You have to put a lot more salt though, and it cools very fast too

Lol.
I actually do coke or ginger ale when my kids get an upset stomach.
See if I was a kid and had a bad sickness where I had to go to the hospital if the nurse asked me if I wanted a coke I would say no bc I’m not dumb and I know that coke is not medicine.
@@tempestates13 This was actually more likely something help stablize me. It wasn't some upset stomach, I'd actually passed out. When I came to, I remember being in the hospital, with my mother and my aunt worried, which worried me. So, to get the meds in me the nursing staff did what they had to do and got sneaky.
Btw not calling any of you guys dumb.
The sharp edges on the coke can would worry me as well as the dosage.
Also, what can help headaches is if you massage your dimples, it can help with migraines and headaches. It has helped a lot when I have headaches.

"who has a banana lying around when you're skiing" as far as I know a banana is a great snack for when you're skiing. It's like a snack bar, but way healthier! And it's a fruit that you just toss in the backpack with some water or tea and you're all set. My skiing friends love bananas, so it's not that weird to have one with you)

Trying to make sure 🎉❤❤😂😅😮😢🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 3:11
1:14 Put the lemonade your sock
There are things where warmth can ease the pain. But it doesn't need a salt bush, just use a how water bottle or a warm gel pack.
And usually it's warmth for muscles and cold for joints. But anything that lats for a while warrants a visit to the doc, because there might be some underlying issue.
I am your 69th like.
i am very immature if you can't tell.
bro what's next? put pepper with dry grass up your ass to relieve chest pain?
In Germany we have “Kirschkern-Kissen”, cherry pit cushions (?). Basically a small cushion that is filled with cherry pits that you warm in the oven or microwave and use as a eco friendly reusable hot pack for cramps or a sore back. Maybe that’s what the salt bush bag was suppose to be. I don’t know if other countries have something similar
Mm yeah it's supposed to be a heating pack. Sometimes its filled with beans or rice etc but salt bush prolly won't hold the heat that well
That is such a great method to save the environment AND help with your back.
@@ololo518 the plant is probably for the scent

@@annw1252 are you serious
I think that is supposed to be a bad diy idea for a hot water bottle.
Or these gel packs. And having one of them is useful anyway. They can go warm or cold, depending on what you need. Like for that wet towel for headaches. If your headaches get better from cooling, use the gelp pack cold.
This is prob the first docter that has the most emotion i have ever seen

These 5 five minute hacks make me cringe so hard. Like what's wrong with taking a bit of time to do things right.
I still listen to the five minute craft ideas
Nobody should ever watching or listening to any of the 5 Minute Crafts family.
I love how he talks so passionately about the unbalanced bra like he knows the struggle 🤣 i love this guy seriously
Ps: he's so pissed in this video and I'm here for it hahaha
Everytime a guy mentions a bra in their video, my 1st thought is the feeling of taking it off at the end of the day.😂😂 Oh, fun fact: The next time your partner gives you a massage, get them to do the area right up _under_ your breasts. What a crazy (& sensitive) area we _always_ seem to forget. Though really, we shouldn't. Have a great day. Cheers!🍻
@@Digitalhunny hahahah so true , by the way i don't have a partner right now im single but Thanks for the advice , I'll keep it in mind
@@Digitalhunny hmm, a lady's tip is always useful. Hopefully I won't forget to try it once I'm not single :p

This was one of the first videos of Doctor Mike's that I ever saw. I was immediately hooked.
As someone who also practices medicine, this is very therapeutic. Seeing him freak out about these 'hacks' makes me glad I'm not the only one
Gotta applaude him for taking a hit for us other medical professionals
The pure amount of shock, frustration, anger, and emotional damage seen in the salt bush incident is ASTRONOMICAL
The passion Dr. Mike had about the bra is just soooo funny 😂 the fact that the man is aware that bras cost a stupid amount of money, I love it .😂
0:29 As someone who doesn't use phones in bathrooms, I see this as an absolute loss.
Putting whipped cream in your hair seems like a good way to get sour-smelling hair.
Bras are too expensive for cutting them up. Glad someone else acknowledged this.
-refraining from making jokes about all the bush stuff-
Waste of a condom.
(Although probably not advisable considering the amount of alcohol in it although she did live to 92 and was rarely ill)
Yeah I think that’s mostly to knock you out so you can sleep off whatever the cold is, I do enjoy a hot toddy though
It's actually really normal elders use there own ways for medical problems like headaches and other problems.

You have to put a lot more salt though, and it cools very fast too
I this the “bush” was supposed to be lavender.
You can also make a microwavable heating pad with rice.
My mum did this with a cloth and a pan,for a few minutes though
my mum told me to stop crying and shut up . that usualy worked with pain .
