Can you crank the settings to the lowest with 35watts(plugged in) mode on. Would love to see the highest FPS this machine can get. My old azz pc can get 100fps on the lowest settings. Was thinking of getting the ally if it can achieve same or more.
So I first tested this with a target frame rate of 300 and it was able to hit 220 but it looked kinda bad so i went back to set it to auto. for the most part it stuck close to 120 all the time cept the kill cam. I also recorded on OBS so it might've taken a bit of a performance hit. th-cam.com/video/Zx9UsBxSwvw/w-d-xo.html imgur.com/a/KIOHKql Settings
Bro, is it normal to touch 90°C temperature with a 30-watt setting at 1080p on Overwatch, I played it with Asus ROG Ally Docking, and if it reached 95°C it will automatically disconnect from HDMI, did u guys feel the same?
Don't set it to 30watts because you'll get significant diminishing returns. Start with 15 watts and move it up 1 watt at a time. I haven't experienced a disconnect from HDMI either. Give 17-18 watts a try
@@TechPanduh thank bro, but have you ever tried 30 watt setting at 1080p on Overwatch using docking mode? Will the temperature be like that? I just want to make sure, if it's normal then I don't need to take my ROG to the service center. You know, there's still a warranty for my Ally
@@husnifaturrohman3148 I haven't tried it for Overwatch specifically, but for other games I have definitely hit 95 which is why I don't recommend it. Optimal is usually 17 or 18 watts. After that you barely gain any FPS
@@TechPanduh I thought mine was broken, but it's just my expectations that are too high, 15 watts is fine, I don't know why they make a 30-watt setting but it can't be used even for games that are not AAA 😆, BTW thanks for your advice TechPandu, you're the best 😁👍

Playing hanzo on console =.=
Lol I was just testing. Most users will likely use this with a docking station I think.
