    These are the same pads I changed to last week. The difference in brake dust is night and day. With the OEM pads, my gloss black wheels looked brown after just a short drive. With the Akibonos, there is almost no dust

    • @F80Ho
      @F80Ho  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hell yeah man, I washed on Saturday and went cruising yesterday…it is 100% night n day difference. So happy I finally made the switch. I know that life, had satin black wheels on my f30 and had the same problem lol

  • @TheDailyDriven

    Yeah totally agree the stock brake pads suck. The amount of Break dust that comes off those pads are just insane. Within a 10 minute drive it's already coated with a heavy thick layer of brake dust. I definitely think ceramic pads are the way to go without going full ceramic

    • @F80Ho
      @F80Ho  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly bro! Nothings worse than cleaning our nice wheels, then going to the store and coming back and they’re dusty 😩😂. So far so good on these 🙌🏽

    I just did all four pads and rotors on my 330i F30, next is my 435i.... I didn't bother filming it honestly, it really does take 10x longer when you do lol

    Not taking anything away from your choice. I switched to Red Stuff to avoid dust, and they work very amazing. But of course, lifetime warranty is a must. I use FCP for almost everything!! Thanks for the video, it took me almost all day replacing mine, including the rotors. The rear were worst than the front!!

      I actually haven’t heard of Red Stuff until you and another person commented about it. I’ll have to look it up! Sounds good, no worries, if I woulda known about it, I def woulda done my research on it 💯. Thanks for the watch & comment man! Anytime 👊🏽 and really?????? Oh boy lol

    Hey bro just saw this video.. I been looking to do my brakes too on the f80 .. just got one question if u dnt mind.. my car is like at 80000 miles nd on the service says to do rotors nd brakes .. but since is the first brakes service.. do u think I would need to change the rotors too or just pads..?

    • @F80Ho
      @F80Ho  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey bro, you can definitely start with pads then check the outer lip of the rotors and see if they’re that bad to be replaced. Also ask your local shop/techs for some advice - hard to tell you without seeing it

    I was just looking at the Akebono Ceramic pads vs Red Stuff pads. Really want a stronger bite but anything less than M compound dust which is pretty much any other pad lol.

    When ordering the set from fcp it comes with 4 for the front and back correct? It’s just confusing me why it says front on the description thing

    • @F80Ho
      @F80Ho  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man! When ordering pads, it’s usually separate, so in this vid I only ordered front which consist of 4 total pads. Rears would be the same amount - separate

    Immediate hallelujah Bro 😁👊🏽 I love Akebono pads and use them on all of BMWs. Changing to these allows ceramic coating on your wheels to last so much longer. Btw, love your camera setup; which Sony is it? Hit me up if you need some help setting up focus lock and manual focus. Also, salute to you and your Fiancé’s engagement 👏🏽💯

    • @F80Ho

      Hallelujah for real bro! The difference has been amazing so far, so glad I made the switch over 🙌🏽. Filming on the Sony A7iii but not using a vlog specific lens or a lens that has auto focus built in lol. I’m okay with it for now, I got my Canon G7X to hold it down when needed 😂.
