When I was a senior in high school in 2000-2001, we were responsible for acquiring our cap and gown (purchasing through the school's vendor or buying/renting from someone else), scheduling our own senior pictures, purchasing our own school rings, ordering our own senior jackets, taking the jackets to someone to get them embroidered if we wanted that, turn in our senior picture for the yearbook, order and pick up our yearbook... Our parents didn't do ANY of that for us.

In South Africa you don't wear a cap and gown for finishing high school, it's only for University / College graduation and there is an option to hire for that time and return it back. You can also buy it for if you want but most people opt for hiring.

I graduated in 2010. As seniors we did everything. There were no meetings for the parents. They told us to let our parents know but everything was our own responsibility. I went to a prominently Black high school, idk if that makes a difference.
I listen to this podcast at the gym. And let me tell u why. I’m trying to find a husband. Particularly one that works out at my gym for convenience sake. This podcast is the only thing that doesn’t give me resting bitch face the whole time I’m at the gym.
