Though leather as a byproduct of the meat industry might sound sustainable - it’s not being given away for free. The profits made from leather are huge and go toward subsidising the meat-industry (which is a huge driver of carbon emissions). It makes sense to stop using leather if Apple doesn’t want to contribute to that.
I bought one of the fine woven cases for the 15PM and gave Apple the benefit of the doubt since they always make great products. I’ve found the fine woven case to be slightly too slippery. My only gripe with that case. Currently using an Apple silicone case until I find a nice leather alternative. Thanks for the video on this topic
I found another company called Keyway. Their leather is top of the line and it only comes in at $48 USD. They based in Canada and took exactly 2 days for them to ship from Canada to US. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fordable case. Cheapest and best quality.
Andar Aspen is definitely where it’s at! It’s full wrap premium leather that you can feel (and smell), clicky metal buttons (including the Action button now), it fits the phone like a glove, it’s got raised bevel around screen/camera, and a nice selection of colors. I looked at all these brands, and I am so glad that I settled on the Andar Aspen.
I bought a full leather apple iPhone 15 case off eBay, i don’t think it’s really made by apple, but it’s a damn good fake has branding and everything. I’ve always gotten apple brand leather cases on prior models and I can’t tell the difference on this one, the packaging is close to identical and the feel of the case is the same. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s the same manufacturer that lost apples business still making them for the 15 under their radar. I’m a happy camper.
I wanted to like Mujjo’s case, as I love the smell & feel of their leather. However the back edges are just far too sharp to hold in my hand comfortably.
My 14 pro max black leather case is still in perfect condition so I decided to "retrofitted" it to fit my new 15 PM. Not having an action button doesn't bother me.
I tried many of them and gave up as none of them are as good as Apple's leather (shame on Apple!) They either feel cheap or the buttons are trash. Since I can't stand Fine Woven, I went with Light Blue Silicone and it grew on me. I love it now!

I have the FineWoven case and while it feels cheaper than leather, it’s holding up surprisingly well! I also have the Nomad Horween leather case. The leather is lovely, but it makes my iPhone feel huge and bulky, so I never use it.
I currently have the midnight and sequoia green leather cases for my 13 pro max. I love the cases. If I buy the 16 pro next year, It’s going to be the Andar Aspen for me. I love Bullstrap but I wished they would cover the bottom part.

This query stems from the fact that the Peak Design case fails to accommodate the iPhone 15 Pro Max when it’s equipped with such a comprehensive lens cover. So, yes I waste Peak Design case and now rocking with Casetify case and Nomad Horween leather that fit perfectly for my use case. Understanding the fit and compatibility between these accessories is crucial for optimal protection and functionality of the device. Just be careful when choosing PeakDesign case especially if your iphone has full camera lens cover installed as it cannot fit and i wasted on it 😢

I am looking to get a leather case that is high quality, has metal buttons, is lightweight (less than 30g), and has a color that goes well with my natural titanium iPhone 15 Pro Max. Do any of those cases you showed off weigh less than 30g? I have always had the Pro phone, so I am trying to reduce the weight as much as possible.
Vaja charges ridiculous prices for shipping. There leather was ok but not great if you live on the other side of the world I guess vaja might be a better option

Leather is supposed to form good patina but only with care with special oils, lotions, or conditioners for leather, which most people won’t do. So Apple put on a thin silicone coating on the newer leather cases, which still wares off but only on the edges and corners and the patina pattern is just bad. The newer leather cases requires some sanding and leather conditioner to make them look good. With conditioners, leather also does not smell as oil protects it from the moisture.
Guys, does anyone recommend one that is made of light leather?
I doubt in my case I got one that is very nice, a Vionentus Elite Series, to this day quite useful

Did you use a rubber band on the inside to fill the gap? As the 15 pros are smaller than the 14 pros
I bounce between the Benks and the Nomad case. I love them both but I will say the Benks is exceptionally nice although not leather to your point.
