"The message simply repeats... Regret, Regret, Regret" "What could it mean?" "Dear Humanity, we REGRET comin' to Earth, we REGRET being Alien bastards! And we most definitely REGRET that the corps just blew up our raggedy ass fleet!"
"It took two in the nose, then dropped into the atmosphere." "Who was first contact?" "405th out of Diego Garcia! Don't expect a big welcome, Covenant wiped most of them out before they hit the ground."
what a series. what a story. what an astoundingly perfect soundtrack for setting the game's atmosphere. Really hope infinite isn't a letdown, but I can't say I have high expectations
1:29 - 4:13. This is exactly the kind of subtle rock music that suits a Halo soundtrack. The boring Steve Vai and alternative/metal filler crap just does not suit Halo. I guess all of that was good for marketing towards white American kids and youngsters of the time.
Steve Vai is a phenomenal musician and has worked with orchestras himself on several occasions. His performance was brilliant. What kind of low T limp dick doesn't like metal? It fits FPS games beautifully. I'm not a nu metal fan myself but it didn't hurt the experience. That's right, White Americans created Halo and everything therein you maggot. That includes all of the orchestratral music. Why don't you go play in the mud.

We are going in! Get tactical marines!

If you want a seperated version there's also Moom over Mombasa part 2 from the Halo 2 anniversary soundtrack
@@RyanLemke-Doyle Breaking Benjamin also did their own rendition of this song.
