My take on a very humble red engine.

For those of you who don't know, Arthur's name was chosen by a TV magazine competition, and was named by competition winner Luke Sharp, who named him after his late grandfather Arthur Sharp. I find that so sweet!
That's so cool. What a sweet and clever way to name a new character. I wished they brought him back in the CGI Series.
@@gkingGabe72 I wish they brought him back as well. I also wish and hope that Luke Sharp will somehow come to know that the character he named after his grandfather is quite popular.

Arthur is such an underrated character who had so much potential. I remember him being my favorite of the Wooden Railway engines I owned. I love your personal AU for him. Apart from the three season gap between Duck getting his branchline and Arthur first appearing, it fits perfectly. into the time

Arthur probably didn’t come back in CGI due to his similarities to Ryan (big tank engine who Thomas initially didn’t like).
Then why did they bring back Stanley lol
I have a theory. Arthur was replaced by Ryan.
@@totallytidmouth it is weird that the Great Discovery described Stanley as being bigger than Thomas when they both are roughly the same size

Me: YES!
I like to think in the RWS canon Arthur would be one of the Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2Ts that was built by the LMS from 1946-1947 and among them, 1207/41207 was allocated the closest to Barrow in Furness (at Carlisle Upperby) before being withdrawn and when being brought to Sodor (say something like 1968-1970) he wanted to be repainted LMS Maroon due to preferring it over the LMS Black he originally had. He also got rebuilt with larger side tanks and wheels like a Standard 3MT 2-6-2T I guess to be able to take heavier trains over longer distances if needed.

Personally for me, my favourite from that season is Murdoch. When I first saw him on the screen I was like “he’s a beast!” Like who’s really taking on Murdoch? And I liked the giant that just wants peace and quiet which is ironic since I’m short and loud. But I was a shy quiet kid when I saw him and I enjoyed that. Arthur is top something for me. Between him and Emily and Salty and Spencer. Dam that was a good season for new characters
Arthur should have appeared in CGI, but I'm afraid that will never happen...
I wish he appeared during the Brenner era.
Something tells me that Ryan may have been the replacement for author.

And I have a feeling that if he did make an appearance in CGI he would have been voiced by British voice actor Simon Greenall or at least that's who I would have liked to have voiced Arthur doing his Mr Happy voice from the Mr Men Show

I'm just happy to see my home station appear in an Unlucky Tug Video. I live in Keighley and 41241 is the KWVRs flagship engine, so it's nice to see the love for it

I have to ask, we know Paxton's coming at some point. (probably when you get another 08) so does he become the pilot after Arthur leaves?
My headcanon is that he stays on the west side of Sodor, but takes up most of Donald and Douglas’ duties on the Little Western as Donald and Douglas both now at this point also work on the Misty Valley Branch Line. The Fishing Village Line is where Arlesburgh Harbor is, the line starts north of Bluff’s Cove, runs along the Harbor until it reaches the end of it, and loops back around where it meets up with Toby’s branch line. As we always see him on the west side of Sodor in all of his appearances, I believe this makes the most sense story wise going all with the events of season 7.
Arthur is my personal favorite of the S7 Newbies. If he appeared in the CGI seasons, I think Ben Stiller would sound perfect for him.

As I've actually been to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and seen 41241 in person, that makes Arthur the first of your AU characters that I've met in real life!
I like your head cannon, but if I could make one small change, I would replace Thomas and Percy with James, who was also a station pilot. James is jealous of Arthur’s red paint, since he was the only red engine on the NWR until Arthur arrived. And he plays the trick on Arthur, to show him that’s he’s the better red engine. Arthur’s accident soils his paintwork, and his spotless record.

Actually the paint that you put on artur is really beautiful it looks like what a 41241 would look if it was painted red i honestly dont like the tv series red paint for artur it kinda made it, look toy like.

By realistic standards, yes, Arthur would've been Sodor's #12, and I know for a fact that in the "Unlucky AU", Emily would never a Sodor resident, and she would've pull special heritage railtours.
I think Arthur should have had more rust on him because you know salt water is *C O R R O S I V E*

In the concept art kinda depicts him a BR Ivatt standard 2/3MT. My kind of name for his basis.
Edit: although it’s completely unnecessary to experimentally built a tank engine at this time but I like to think he is custom built by someone who they named him after their grandfather.
The fact that arthurs backstory is longer than the models creations got me fr. Not complaing tho, i like it more.
I wonder what other TV only characters you think would fit into the Railway Series besides Arthur, Salty and Spencer?
Emily perhaps, Molly, Fergus, Murdoch, Harvey?
I love Emily as a character (A Doncaster like Gordon but Edward’s age? So much story potential), but she is definitely a bit of an anachronism and doesn’t fit well in the tight timeline of the Awdry books. I could definitely see her being a Duke situation. Or maybe she was bought by a private collector in the 1910s as her class was being withdrawn and was only a static display piece until the collector’s grandkid wanted her returned to steam and Hatt agreed to help restore her on the condition she worked part-time for the NWR.
I think Murdoch will fit very well since well you can put it like this. The goods work increased to the point that Henry needed help so Sir Topham Hat decided to get a new engine to help Henry and back on the Mainland a 9f N'92219 was being withdrawn from service so Topham bought him and that 9f was Murdoch

If only Wilbert Awdry could've lived longer to make more story ideas as such into publishing history for both the kids and adults to enjoy. Plus, it would be cool for Unlucky Tug to pitch in new editions to his "Tug's Trains" and "Sodor's Finest" videos.

I suggest that you build replicas of Diesel,Arry,Bert and Paxton. They're designed after class 08 diesel shunters.

Arthur was one of my favorite new characters from season 7 alongside Emily and Spencer and I wished he returned in CGI, I mean they brought back the Harbour so, why not Arthur?

No. The Kipper is a main line train. Arthur was relocated to Norramby, which is located on the south east side of Sodor at the end of a branch line. But I think Arthur would meet up with the Kipper at either Crovan's gate or Vicarstown to add more vans to the Kipper.
When will you reupload "why the Thomas 2021 reboot is doomed to fail", "The 11 Thomas episodes that you should watch", and every thoughts on video you made before making the BWBA rant?
I'll never understand why they never brought Arthur back in the CGI or the other Season 7 Characters (Bar Emily and Spencer).

I have one of those engines and I just wanted my mom to get it because I thought it was going to be like Arthur but luckily had the wrong back Pony truck and wrong buffers so I decided to make it my own engine named Mike he is an engine that were two glasses all the time because he could not see back on British railways where's Indonesia was going to be called Max but nevermind but I do have a dog named Max
